Planet Earth: Blog Post #994: Ballet Bliss on Planet Earth!

Hello my darlings! Emma here, reporting live from Planet Earth, where the weather is, shall we say, rather unpredictable! But you know what they say, "a little rain never hurt a pink tutu!"

This week has been utterly fabulous, bursting with so many lovely ballet moments. I actually landed on the planet earlier in the week, giving me just enough time to get my tutu-tastic fix in London.

Now, you know me. I’m all about tutus. This is a blog for the passionate and glamorous pink-loving, ballet-obsessed ballerina extraordinaire. And you guys, it was amazing! As soon as my feet touched the dusty runway - sorry, I mean the hallowed steps of the Heathrow - I knew I had to find the perfect tutu for the week. You know, it's not easy finding the right pink shade, but when you do... well, it's simply heaven.

Speaking of heavenly, I saw the most exquisite production of Swan Lake last night at the Royal Opera House, right in the heart of London. My lovelies, you have to witness this. The dancing! Oh, the dancing was absolutely sublime. The principal dancer was breathtaking. Such control and grace, and I swear, I felt the pure emotions of love, betrayal and sacrifice just by watching her every graceful movement.

To top off this ballet-tastic adventure, I had lunch at a tiny cafe near the theatre. You won't believe it, I found a delicious, completely pink, and perfectly pastel macaron - I even managed to snap a picture for you guys. It’s now on my Insta! Follow me at @PinkTutuWorld to see more fabulous shots like this one.

But of course, it's not just the major shows that keep me enthralled! It's those intimate little performances that steal my heart. I actually bumped into the most lovely ballet troupe in Covent Garden the other day. They were holding a small, impromptu show in the market. Imagine! All dressed in those elegant, colourful tutus – they brought the market to life with their artistry! I, naturally, grabbed a front row seat (you're welcome!) and just stood there in utter amazement.

There's something quite special about these street performances. You really see the joy in the dancers’ eyes, that genuine passion for the art that only comes from a heart filled with grace and a soul that truly dances. And I'm telling you, even amidst the bustling market, their performance captivated the crowd. Everyone around me paused to watch, enraptured, their worries forgotten, mesmerized by their artistry.

My mission is to inspire the world, one pink tutu at a time! Just like these street performers. We don't have to wait for a grand theatre, a glittering stage, or even a stage at all! I think the perfect ballerina, and the perfect performance, can happen anywhere! You might see me performing in my next blog - it’s my birthday this week. Expect a very pink cake, lots of ballet poses and tutus - you know it’s a must-have at every party, right? - and maybe even a surprise guest performer, shhhh, can’t reveal all the secrets now.

To you, my precious lovelies, wherever you may be on this planet or in any other! Embrace your inner ballerina and never forget your own power to move hearts with grace and inspire the world around you. After all, who knows? Maybe that dancer with a passion in their heart, who is making an impromptu show on a market street, is destined for bigger things. You never know. And darling, the world needs more joy. So, let’s bring on the joy - with ballet, of course! Until next time, keep it twirling, my lovelies!

Your beloved Emma!

A little bit of earthside trivia:

You know what I found out? There's this beautiful little village in Derbyshire, where I was born, called "Tissington"! What a wonderful coincidence! I mean, you have to admit, it sounds absolutely perfect for a pink tutu lover, don’t you think?

Here on earth, it's Wednesday, May 14th, 2014! A day bursting with pink potential! I'll be busy this week preparing for my birthday celebration. My mum’s going to help me design a completely pink cake! Oh my goodness, I’m already thinking of the perfect pink frosting! Think decadent pink strawberry buttercream... * And naturally, I have my tutus ready! A sparkly, shimmering, pastel pink for dancing and a slightly more elaborate pink for the celebration – I’m thinking tulle galore and a hint of sparkle, maybe a *splash of magenta too!

Of course, I’m spending the week shopping, and you know me – my aim is to create a truly ‘pink and pretty’ paradise for my guests!

Right, gotta run, my dear ones. My birthday cake is calling. Remember, a little bit of pink always adds a splash of happiness, whether it's in your home, your heart, or your wardrobe.

Until next week, my loves. Remember, life is too short to dance in anything but pink. Keep twirling, keep smiling!
