Pink Tutu World: Intergalactic Ballet Adventures - Blog Post #1039

Wednesday, March 25th, 2015

Hello my darling darlings, and welcome back to Pink Tutu World, your weekly dose of celestial shimmer and all things twirly! Today's blog post is a real doozy, bursting with intergalactic escapades and, of course, a whole lotta pink.

Last week I told you about my new spaceship, the 'Tutu Rocket' - yes, I'm serious! It's a hot pink beauty with a glittery nebula engine. She's got the legs, I tell ya! But we've only just started exploring the vastness of space!

Ballet on Planet Earth - It’s a Wrap!

So before I launch into a full account of our first extra-planetary adventure, let's have a quick catch-up about our time on dear old Planet Earth. My Earthly adventures last week were, dare I say, a smashing success. I graced the stage of The Royal Opera House in London with a ballet performance that had the audience roaring for more. It’s true! My pink tulle did a graceful swirl around the theatre, drawing gasps from the gathered ballet aficionados!

My costume for the evening was, of course, pink. Think delicate pink chiffon, perfectly sculpted to skim my form and capture the shimmer of the stage lights. The entire ensemble was brought together with an explosion of vibrant pink sequins, all carefully arranged in an elaborate pattern - I just love the way light dances on sequins. This ensemble is a timeless masterpiece - every girl dreams of a tutu.

The performance was the final highlight in a whirlwind week of Ballet, Shopping and More Ballet! As I've told you before, my planet Earth journey was all about taking the Ballet to new heights and inspiring new dancers. We held workshops with children across London, showing them the joys of movement, artistry, and of course, the pink tutus. And for those of you keeping count, we have officially passed our 1,000 new recruits - the planet Earth will be dancing in pink soon enough!

Speaking of dancing, I even squeezed in a trip to The London Fashion Week! I saw a few amazing creations, and there’s so much inspiration to be had there! My aim for my Pink Tutu designs is to take the pink and make it timeless. Like a well-preserved ballet shoe.

The other big event last week was, of course, my final day in Derbyshire! A visit back to my family is always a tonic! It was so wonderful to be reunited with my Mum and Dad - the excitement of a new adventure is never truly shared until you share it with the people you love the most! They were, of course, totally amazed by my 'Tutu Rocket' story. After all, what good is a space odyssey without telling your Mum all about it?!

Now, back to my space voyage!

Beyond Earth: Adventures in Outer Space!

With the 'Tutu Rocket' fully fuelled and my ballet bag packed, I took my first leap beyond the stratosphere! And what a journey it's been! The universe is a glittering wonder! I have to admit, I'm no astrophysicist but, wow, it's certainly beautiful! We’re so very small in the great, grand scheme of things, my darling darlings.

On this trip, I was off to explore the planet, Galacta. This place was hot off the intergalactic press, known for its advanced fashion sense and, well, its interesting taste in dance.

Now, you may not know this, but I have been wanting to go to Galacta for a long time! I have an extremely rare vintage collection of ballet shoes made with feathers from the native, Galactica Swan, known for their spectacular luminescent qualities. Apparently, it was an exclusive deal from the most exclusive shop on the entire planet - quite a feat for a small-town girl from Derbyshire!

A Day at the Galactic Ballet Theatre

So naturally, I had to catch a ballet show! It was a performance in the ‘Galactic Ballet Theatre’ - talk about a name to conjure dreams of intergalactic twirls and sparkling tutus! The entire performance was truly incredible - I couldn't believe how well-trained they were! Even more impressive, the audience - they weren't afraid to dance! From the moment the curtains opened, people were whirling around with the performers.

Imagine: a giant dance floor full of stars, with people of all shapes and sizes in the most astonishing colours you can possibly imagine! From the blues, purples, greens and, yes, pinks, their bodies danced and moved with such fluidity, it was utterly mesmerising. And there it was! It truly was beautiful!

As for their dance style, well it was unique! It wasn’t like any ballet I had ever seen before. Think lyrical movements, acrobatic leaps, and then all that tied in with a smattering of graceful poses reminiscent of traditional classical ballet, which of course is something that my tutu-loving heart always warms to! And then you add some truly awe-inspiring cosmic elements. The whole performance just shimmered.

I was in a total daze for about an hour after the performance - I’m sure it took me another couple of days to recover fully! The Galactica Swan Ballet Shoes are more beautiful in person, let me tell you. I've got a whole new appreciation for how much time and effort they put into fashioning a simple dance shoe.

I’m truly, honestly, and deeply thankful to these brilliant beings for their creativity! It has certainly been the inspiration for my latest designs – an exclusive new line, to be launched in June, will incorporate the style and grace of the Galacta Swan dancers. It is a homage to their magnificent creativity! You’re going to love this line, darlings. Just wait for it! I cannot wait to bring these new ideas back to my home, planet Earth.

Travel Tips: Space Exploration & Getting Around

Now I know what you're thinking: How can I explore the universe and visit exotic planets like Galacta?

My darling darlings, that's easy! Just make sure your spaceship is pink and get out there! Or maybe, that's not your style. No worries! I will tell you one thing that helps me on my trips. It’s vital to have a very strong and reliable system of communication! The Tutu Rocket's communication system is top notch! And that includes having the perfect way to post my blogs.

Also, always, always, always pack your favourite pink tutu! You will need that special piece of home to keep you company, even in the great unknown! It's also surprisingly easy to travel when you're dressed in pink. A well-timed twirl can make getting to those difficult to access planets so much simpler,

And lastly? If you really can’t be bothered with spaceship travel, my blog is always a good substitute. This week’s episode is dedicated to the latest dance fashions of Planet Galacta! This post will be jam-packed with photographs! And don’t forget to take advantage of the Pink Tutu World Boutique’s new special offer – the Pink Tutu Spaceship Subscription! The offer includes free shipping on our newest design, the 'Galactica Swan' pink tutu, which I’ve just unveiled. Don't miss out! It’s perfect for your intergalactic adventures!

I hope you enjoyed my journey! Be sure to join me for our next weekly blog, and I will tell you all about a spectacular fashion-forward dance gala in the Milky Way - you don't want to miss it!

Until next Wednesday!

Lots of love, Emma x
