Hello, darlings! It's Wednesday, the day we all look forward to because it's the day I get to share my latest adventures with you! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World, your one-stop shop for all things twirly, fabulous, and, of course, pink.
Today, I'm bubbling with excitement as I'm writing to you from Planet Earth, a planet teeming with the most vibrant fashion scene! I simply adore visiting Earth - it's the perfect place to soak up new styles and trends. I just popped over to Earth on a quick trip after a magical weekend in the Andromeda Galaxy where I performed "The Swan Lake" with a team of pink tutu-clad ballerinas from Saturn's rings! You see, my mission is to bring a little bit of ballet joy to the universe - and what better way to do that than to inspire people to wear a pink tutu!
Right now, I'm settled into my favourite boutique hotel in London - you can't beat the stylish atmosphere and the complimentary prosecco. Of course, the most important thing when I travel is packing the right tutu! This week I'm feeling the āCosmic Pinkā vibes so I've chosen my latest bespoke creation - a shimmering pink tutu with holographic sequins, hand-embroidered with galaxies and nebulae. I just think itās divine! I know it sounds a bit extravagant, but every trip demands the perfect pink tutu. I donāt know how I used to manage with just a regular wardrobe!
Let's get into some Earthly details, shall we?
It's September 9th, 2015 - such a special date, especially if youāre a lover of the arts! I love browsing the listings of all the arts events and ballet performances happening around the world - and itās a special treat to watch live, because nothing quite compares to the magic of a live performance, is there? Itās truly breathtaking! Thereās always so much inspiration to draw on! This evening, Iām off to the Royal Opera House in London - itās my all-time favourite spot in the world, and this week they're showcasing the āBallet's Greatest Hitsā. Imagine all those breathtaking dances from history, right here in front of you, and then afterwards, itās off for a bite to eat in a glamorous Soho restaurant with a view of the beautiful London night. Youāve got to agree that this whole pink tutu lifestyle is a lot of fun - and as I always say, I wouldn't trade it for anything!
I know you're probably thinking, "Emma, how do you even manage all this? Do you ever sleep?" The truth is, it's a lot of hard work! I don't want to pretend like it's all just sunshine and roses. But there's a very real and honest satisfaction in chasing your dreams, working hard, and always making an effort. Thatās the attitude that helped me fund my whole pink tutu universe. I fund my interstellar adventures through my performances. Each tutu dance, each magical whirl in the galaxy helps keep my spaceship topped up with enough fuel for a trip to planet Earth - or the Andromeda Galaxy or even, dare I say, Pluto (with the help of a top up from some good ol' planet Earth money)!
A Pink Tutu For Every Galaxy
Of course, we canāt talk about travelling in pink tutus without talking about the tutus themselves! Thatās my favourite thing about Earth: all the beautiful fabrics and incredible styles to find! And tutus aren't just about fashion. Tutues have history and style - you can really get lost in their history. My favourites include the tutu history of "Le Corsaire" from 1856 and even earlier. Tutues really were all the rage. Even way back then, it seems we can't escape a trend like pink.
And, my loves, as always, you can be the trendsetter! If you can't be in London with me, find yourself a fabulous ballet performance near you. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's always an opportunity to make every day a twirly, pink, fabulous ballet experience!
If you're reading this and your heart's full of the kind of excitement that makes you want to leap across the universe in a pink tutu - please do, just do it! Whether you are on Earth, or any other planet, join me in my cosmic journey - you're only a few twirls away!
As always, please feel free to comment below and share your own twirly, sparkly adventures with me. Tell me what you've been doing on your planet and what makes you twirl. We can all take a moment to share in the beautiful things that surround us.
Until next week, stay pink and keep dancing!
Emma
P.S. Check out my brand new pink tutu design that will be making it's debut at the Royal Opera House in London. Itās an absolute stunner, and a perfect example of a planet-tumblingly, cosmic pink and glittering pink tutu that captures everything we stand for here on Pink Tutu World!
