Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth - Post 1074 - 25th November 2015

Hello my darlings!

It's Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu Warrior, landing back on Planet Earth after a whirlwind galactic adventure, ready to share all the sparkle and glittery gossip with you! As always, I’m back in my Derbyshire home, where the tea is strong and the countryside scenery is calming… after a weekend spent exploring a corner of the universe with the most delightful array of dancing planets!

But first, let’s rewind the clock to Wednesday 25th November, 2015. I'd just finished a particularly invigorating class at my favourite London ballet studio. My body was buzzing with that glorious post-performance energy, and the studio lights reflecting off my tutu were just magical. As usual, the dance studio became my happy place, the music thrumming in my veins and my toes doing pirouettes in my mind.

Later that evening, I was ready for an exciting new adventure. I had just received the perfect new pair of pink pumps (courtesy of my latest stage performance), which I lovingly called "Cosmo," so off I zipped to the spaceship terminal, a rather inconspicuous alley in Soho where all the right people knew the location! (Never underestimate the power of a sparkly, pink, diamond-encrusted bag - that opens more than just doors, darling!). Cosmo sparkled just as much as I did - the spaceship itself was a masterpiece of futuristic design - all silver sleekness and iridescent detailing, with little, glittery pink stars, because naturally, they had to be pink.

The trip was a speedy one, though the scenery was breathtaking - imagine galaxies swirling with pink hues, cosmic ballet stars performing graceful routines against backdrops of nebulae… oh, darling, the visuals were unreal. My new dress, a divine pink and silver gown that would make the fairies weep, shimmered under the galaxy lights. It was the perfect outfit for the Astro Ballet Ball I was headed to!

And what a ball it was! I landed on a planet resembling the most spectacular, gigantic amethyst - everything had a magical lilac-lavender tint to it! The dance floor was even better – shimmering, pink-toned crystal, as if it had been sprinkled with the finest diamond dust.

I found myself amidst a universe of extraordinary creatures – some had scales, some feathers, and one, I swear, looked like a walking constellation! They all twirled, waltzed and shimmied with joyful abandon, with just as much zest as any Earth ballet enthusiast. The dancing was heavenly, with elaborate choreography that showcased the incredible flexibility of their…well, everything!

As for the food? Let's just say it was a cosmic degustation feast, with delicate space blooms, crystallized starlight, and clouds of shimmering pink stardust - I think I may have eaten my weight in ā€œgalaxy gazpachoā€!

And of course, what would a pink tutu warrior be without some retail therapy, especially on a trip to a new planet? It's no surprise that I stumbled upon a wondrous shopping precinct full of cosmic creations - from shimmering intergalactic textiles woven with constellations to dazzling earrings fashioned from asteroid shards - you could find it all there! And, the most magnificent part of the whole experience? There was a stall, an entire stall dedicated to pink tutus!

Now, I understand you might think I'm a little obsessed, but it truly is the ultimate dancewear - a timeless classic that makes every pirouette a joyous explosion of pink energy. After some deliberation (it's hard to choose when there's so much fabulousness!) I bought a new tutu. Not just any tutu – it shimmered with every shade of pink, from pale blush to vibrant magenta. It’s actually made of spun stardust, but don't tell anyone - my little secret!

Before heading back to the planet Earth, I just had to try on the magnificent new garment in front of the stellar galactic dance floor. As I twirled, my stardust tutu caught the twinkling, holographic light, radiating joy and magic. In that moment, I realised this pink tutu world is a lot bigger, and more beautiful, than anyone can possibly imagine.

Oh, but my darlings, my galactic adventures aren’t ending here!

This Friday, I'm heading to a special performance by a talented new ballet troupe on Mars. The rumour on the street is they have choreographed a brand-new piece dedicated to the joy of twirling – and I'll be there, of course! I wouldn’t miss it for the world – imagine, ballet and pink tutus on Mars, in my new shimmering stardust masterpiece! You can be sure I'll be capturing every pirouette and posting it all on my blog - follow me on www.pink-tutu.com.

Until next Wednesday, be sure to twirl your worries away, keep shining bright and don't be afraid to dream pink.

Love, Emma, your Pink Tutu Warrior, reporting from Planet Earth.
