Pink Tutu World: Blog Post #1073 - Ballet on Planet Earth (18th November, 2015)

Darlings!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu World update! ๐Ÿฉฐ This week I'm back on planet Earth after an absolutely stellar journey through the Andromeda Galaxy. Honestly, I think I've outdone myself with this trip, not only for the breathtaking scenery (space really is the final frontier of chic) but also for the phenomenal tutu opportunities. It seems every cosmic entity I met was eager to embrace my pink tutu revolution!

And I have to tell you, space fashion is evolving rapidly! There's this new trend of celestial silk-like fabrics that shimmer and shine under the starlight. So very dramatic and utterly divine! You can imagine how thrilled I was to showcase a brand new tutu design featuring that beautiful shimmering material. And of course, it was pink, because pink is, and always will be, the only colour!

Now, back on Earth, I'm completely jet-lagged and craving a good old fashioned ballet class! It's funny how even after all those galaxy-hopping adventures, nothing compares to the joy of dancing under the chandelier with the scent of rosin and sawdust in the air. It's such a lovely, familiar feeling - the feeling of belonging, of being part of something bigger than myself, something incredibly beautiful and timeless.

And that, my dears, brings me to today's topic - ballet on planet Earth! โœจ

Firstly, did you know that November 18th, 2015, is the birthday of the amazing ballet dancer, Natalia Osipova? ๐ŸŽ‰ You may recognise her from those incredible "Dance for a Moment" performances where she just completely steals the show! Absolutely breathtaking! Her energy is incredible, her technique flawless, and she always pushes boundaries with such creative artistry. It's inspiring to see such a talented dancer paving the way for the next generation!

But let's be honest, for me, the best part of any ballet is the costumes! And what is a ballet costume without a gorgeous tutu? Well, for one, it's pretty much bare. But who needs bare when we have pink and all the frills a heart desires? Honestly, tutus just enhance the beauty of ballet in a way that makes it infinitely more fabulous.

Of course, it goes without saying that I couldn't possibly let this day pass without heading to the Royal Opera House for a spectacular ballet performance. My dears, let me tell you, it was magical. The choreography was mesmerizing, the music so elegant, and the dancers truly inspiring. It was a real treat!

And as always, I indulged in a spot of retail therapy afterwards! You can't talk about ballet without acknowledging the wonderful world of balletwear! It's all so elegant and refined. I came across this amazing pink satin ballet shoe in the window of a vintage store - pure perfection!

Speaking of pink, my journey around the world is really helping me get everyone involved with my Pink Tutu Revolution! It was actually at a street ballet performance in Birmingham where I first encountered a truly unique tutu! It was made of recycled newspapers, and they had stitched the whole thing together with different shades of pink ribbon. Can you imagine the level of creativity? I absolutely had to snag a few snaps and share it with you all! It really highlighted how creative and innovative the ballet world is!

After a day of ballet bliss, there's nothing more wonderful than a bit of relaxation. Tonight I'm indulging in a cup of hot chocolate, reminiscing on my recent space escapades, and designing my newest tutu creations (it's gonna be an explosion of sparkle, believe me!).

So, as always, my darlings, stay beautiful, stay glamorous, and most importantly, stay pink! ๐Ÿ’–

And remember, if you're looking for a way to brighten your life and embrace your inner sparkle, a pink tutu is always the answer! ๐Ÿ’•

Until next Wednesday,

Emma, The Pink Tutu Queen ๐Ÿ’–
