Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth! 🩰✨

Hello my darling tutus! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu World blog post! This week I'm feeling positively bubbly, like a fresh batch of pink lemonade on a summer's day! Why, you ask? Well, it's because I'm finally back on dear ol' Planet Earth, and I've got a million sparkly stories to tell you about my latest adventures. Buckle up, babes, because this one's a doozy! 💖

You see, I was off exploring the cosmos, as I'm prone to do every now and then, travelling in my trusty spaceship, The Twirling Comet. I do love zipping through the galaxies - the sheer glitter of it all! Just imagine a whole universe of sparkly dust swirling around you, oh darling, it's simply divine! But you know me, I just can't resist the lure of a good old-fashioned ballet performance, and, as it happened, the fabulous planet Earth was calling my name!

This time, however, there was a catch! I arrived on 13th January, 2016 (marked on my intergalactic calendar in sparkly pink, naturally!), only to discover a rather... peculiar twist of fate. Now, normally, I can just poof my way back to Planet Earth, find myself a fancy hotel, and then go see a show that night. But this time, there was a snag! Apparently, there were only two performances in all of London, and they were sold out! Can you believe it?! Just my luck, eh? 😂

Not to worry though, my dears. Pink Tutu World always prevails, remember?! With a flash of my trusty sequined clutch and a quick spin (it always helps to look your best in a cosmic crisis), I hatched a plan. It involved some clever bargain-hunting (always my forte!), a bit of social media magic (I’m the Queen of the #TutuTuesday hashtags!), and a touch of the divine good luck. Well, who am I kidding, I practically demanded those tickets! 😂

But all this drama aside, let's talk about the show itself! I landed myself front row seats at The Royal Opera House, a simply magnificent venue. It's a proper palace of ballet! All chandeliers, gold, and that wonderful, thrilling buzz of excited tutus - the air positively hums with sparkle!

The programme featured Giselle – such a timeless, beautiful classic. For those of you unfamiliar, it’s about a poor girl named Giselle who falls in love with a prince. Of course, it’s a tragedy, a bit like Romeo and Juliet, only with dancing! (Honestly, do I need to say more?) There were so many things to adore, from the haunting beauty of Giselle’s madness to the spectacular technical skill of the dancers. And, naturally, I loved the costumes! The tutus were ethereal, the peasant gowns had a charming air of elegance, and the men, bless them, looked as graceful as ever in their knee-length tights. Sigh It was a true feast for the eyes! 💖

Now, you might be wondering: Emma, did you wear a pink tutu for the performance? Why of course, darling! I would never dream of seeing ballet without my favourite pink number. This time I went for a stunning rose pink tutu, which paired perfectly with my glittery top (it’s one I found at the new Mars Galaxy Boutique – it's out of this world, seriously!). To keep the focus on my stunning tutus, I chose my plain black heels for this night (but of course I have a pink version for special occasions). And I topped off my look with a sprinkle of pink glitter (always good to bring a little something extra to the performance). ✨

Now, after this magical performance, I must tell you, dear tutus, the true delight wasn’t just the show itself. The entire night was filled with such joy, glamour and, yes, a bit of drama! It felt as if I’d been sprinkled with fairy dust (it’s what happens when you blend in a little extra glitter!).

Later that night, as the moonbeams shimmered on London’s streets, I went on a whirlwind shopping spree at a little boutique called Pink Paradise. It's the most perfectly pink store you've ever seen, trust me! Imagine an explosion of frills, sequins, and all things girly, all tied together with the colour pink! It's like stepping into a dream, but, like, the best sparkly, twirling, pink-tastic dream ever. 💖

Of course, my shopping haul was epic. I snagged a new sparkly, hot pink, full-length dress perfect for gallivanting around the galaxy, a pair of shimmering ballet pumps to add a touch of ballerina chic, and, most importantly, a pink fluffy purse so big, it’s almost like carrying a cloud around with me. And just a few tiny things like an outfit to wear in space, a few new tutus, and a sparkling hair clip to add a bit of oomph! ✨

Before heading off for another intergalactic adventure, I treated myself to a divine cream tea, as a quintessential English experience. Darlings, do try it when you visit! The pastries are *almost as good as my space cake!* It truly was the most perfect way to finish a glorious day of ballet and sparkle.

My little darling tutus, there's nothing like ballet and a touch of pink magic to get those creative juices flowing! Now I'm off to share some more celestial-sparkling fashion finds, a little more galaxy dancing and a lot of #pinktutuworld inspiration! Don't forget to check out my latest #TutuTuesday pics and make sure to send me any planet earth travel tips!

Remember: Life is a performance, so make sure you wear a pink tutu with flair! 💕✨

*Until next week, darlings, keep it pink! *
