Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth Blog - Post 1119 - 5th October 2016

Darling! Have you seen those autumn leaves changing colour already?! It’s truly a magical time of year, especially if you're a girl with a pink tutu who loves the colour pink. Today, as the leaves were turning from lush greens to gorgeous golden oranges and reds, I found myself reminiscing about my latest trip – not to a quaint little village nestled in the Peak District, darling, but to a galaxy far, far away! That’s right, I journeyed through the stars aboard my trusty spaceship, The Swan Lake, all in the name of spreading the gospel of the pink tutu.

The last time we met, you were probably glued to your telly, watching The Great British Bake Off, weren’t you? While you were getting your baking fix (I always prefer a cupcake, but who am I to judge?), I was on another planetary adventure.

A Celestial Shopping Spree

This time, it was a quick hop, skip and a twirl to a rather exciting planetary system in the constellation Ursa Major. The entire system was celebrating an incredible event: The Interstellar Fashion Gala. It was a fabulous occasion – an explosion of glitz, glamour, and some of the most extraordinary outfits you could possibly imagine!

You wouldn’t believe the celestial sequins and nebulae prints they had! Imagine the most spectacular fireworks display you've ever seen, but instead of fire, it was made of the most gorgeous fabrics, glittering and swirling like a cosmic ballet. I did, however, manage to convince them to consider a few pink tutus, even offering to lead a flash mob in a stunning sequence inspired by Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake (and no, my darlings, it wasn't about the swans!). The whole place was a riot of cosmic colours.

A Whirlwind of Culture

After the fashion gala, I spent a couple of days learning about the cultural customs and traditions of these stellar beings. Their artistic expressions were something else - everything they created seemed to have an ethereal, dream-like quality. Imagine the work of a Da Vinci, but infused with a magical touch of space dust, a dash of stardust glitter, and you’d almost have a picture of their magnificent art!

We had quite the chuckle too, darling. These beings had their own dance forms – which were definitely fascinating - and although they weren’t exactly familiar with ballet as we know it here on Earth, they absolutely loved it when I showcased my signature dance routines! I even took some time out of my galactic journey to teach them the finer points of tutus - it’s a truly essential fashion piece, you know, and perfect for all sorts of stellar shenanigans.

Back on Planet Earth: My Little Slice of Derbyshire

Speaking of Earthly shenanigans, darling, this past weekend saw me waltzing back home to Derbyshire, that beautiful slice of the countryside in England. Now, while space is beautiful, there is no place like home. The aroma of fresh, crisp air mixed with a touch of wood smoke, and the view of the rolling hills - well, it's a treat to behold!

After unpacking my spaceship (it's a bit tricky navigating with those big tulle skirts), I decided to make the most of the autumnal spirit by doing what I love best: shopping for pink tutus! The boutiques here are overflowing with delicious colors this time of year - deep cranberry reds, golden yellows, but nothing, nothing, can compete with the absolute gloriousness of a luscious pink tutu!

Upcoming Performances: Ballet and Beyond

Speaking of gorgeous tutus, I'm excited to tell you about some amazing ballet events happening next week. The Royal Opera House is hosting an exquisite Nutcracker ballet, and you can be sure I’ll be there, swirling amongst the glittering gowns and the magical, winter wonderland atmosphere. But before you say ‘Emma, what about your pink tutus?”, let me assure you, darlings, I’ll have a pink one on – it's almost a tradition.

This month, however, I have a secret mission, one I’m incredibly excited about – but that I’ll be keeping tightly under wraps. Just imagine a fashion show on the other side of the galaxy, with a dash of stardust and the swish of tulle. Can you see it? You bet, it's going to be utterly fabulous!

Until next week, my lovely lot! Stay glamorous and always remember, a girl in a pink tutu is never just a girl – she's a star, shining brighter than any galaxy!

With a cosmic twirl,

Emma
