Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth - Post #1122 - 26th October 2016

Darling darlings!

Welcome back to my little corner of the intergalactic internet! I hope you're all feeling as fabulous and pinktastic as I do today! It's a real corker of a Wednesday, and as always, I'm here with my weekly dose of ballet, travel, and oh, so much pink!

Now, as you know, I'm a total ballet fanatic! And guess what?! My intergalactic journey this week has landed me right back here on dear old planet Earth, which means only one thing… Ballet shows, darling, ballet shows! I've been bouncing around the globe, from the starry stages of Venus to the moonlit shores of Neptune, but there's nothing quite like catching a live performance right here on Earth, the very planet that nurtured my love of the art.

A Touch of Derby Delight!

It was back to my home turf this week - a real trip down memory lane! The energy and magic of my dear old Derbyshire was as familiar and comforting as a well-worn pointe shoe. Remember how I told you about my dream of spreading the joy of pink tutus across the cosmos? Well, I actually got a bit of a head-start on the old ambition this week, as the entire Derbyshire dance community seems to have taken it upon themselves to make me feel right at home! There were tutus, tutus, and more tutus! Even the pigeons in the market square seemed to have coordinated outfits, sporting little fluffy pink feather boas!

Dance of the Cosmos!

Now, onto the main event! I hit up a dazzling performance by the Royal Ballet of England, right in the heart of London. Imagine! I got to sit amongst the world's leading ballet aficionados and marvel at the elegance and precision of these phenomenal dancers! The Romeo and Juliet was simply divine. It brought tears to my eyes, darling, just a little bit of joyful, pinktastic blubbing! It made me think, really think, about love, loss, and the beauty that can be found in both.

And you know what? Even the way they moved those beautiful tutu-covered limbs had a certain interstellar charm! The graceful leaps were like stars shooting across the cosmos. Those pirouettes? Just a stunning exhibition of spinning celestial bodies! They almost transported me to another dimension! And I have to give the lighting designers a round of applause. The colours were just perfect - a galaxy of pinks, purples, and blues, perfectly echoing the romance of the ballet.

Pinktastic Fashion Find!

But wait! Before I lose myself in the depths of my theatrical reverie, let’s chat about the other fabulous thing I discovered this week: the London Ballet Boutique! Oh my goodness, I found the most heavenly collection of tutus! Fluffy, romantic, elegant, and everything in between. They were a real feast for the eyes! There were enough sparkly tutus to light up the whole of London! I treated myself to a brand new pink tulle tutu with the most exquisite pearl embellishments, and just the sight of it put me in such a joyous, bubbly mood. You just wouldn't believe the colour! It practically glows!

An Afternoon of Inspiration

Of course, no trip to London would be complete without a little ballet-themed indulgence. So, I made my way to the legendary Victoria and Albert Museum for their annual “Tutus on the Catwalk” exhibition. The beauty and historical significance of those tutus, darling, you would simply melt with delight! We are talking fashion that stretches across centuries, tutus from the glorious eras of Tchaikovsky, Diaghilev, and even those glorious early twentieth century tutus that set the fashion world alight with their sheer innovation and charm. I actually got to try on a replica of a famous nineteenth-century tutu and felt like a genuine Victorian ballerina! And there were so many beautiful designs – it really brought home the sheer brilliance of these iconic garments, these graceful creations of beauty, movement, and sheer feminine artistry!

Next Stop: The Milky Way

And now, as you know, dear darlings, it's back to the vast emptiness of space, and more celestial ballet! My trusty spaceship, "Twinkle Toe", awaits, ready to take me on a trip to the bright, pulsating beauty of the Milky Way. I can't wait to explore the galaxies, spreading my pink tutu philosophy of love and dance! I hope to find some cosmic fashionistas, to show them that pink tutus are more than just garments, darling! They’re a symbol of joy, freedom, and, above all, the beauty of life, on any planet.

And hey, I hope I'll see you here again next Wednesday, for another dose of intergalactic ballet adventures and fashion finds. Don't forget to check back on my website, www.pink-tutu.com - I post new posts every week on Wednesday! And while you're there, why not grab yourself a pair of ballet shoes and have a little twirl to some beautiful music. You know I'd love to see you all rocking your very own pink tutu! Until next week, darling darlings, spread the love! And remember, stay pinktastic!

Your eternally fabulous, Emma XOXO
