Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another exciting instalment of Pink Tutu World! 🩰💖 This week I'm back on Planet Earth, after a whirlwind trip to the glorious planet of Zephyr, a real fashion haven for you pink tutu loving babes! It was a bit of a quick dash, you see, because my dear friends, the 15th of February 2017 marks a very special date indeed!
Remember the fabulously fun, completely fabulous and truly magical Tutu Tales: A Cosmic Journey exhibition at the London Ballet Museum? Well, darling, it's finally opened, and guess who was front and centre for the grand opening? This gal right here! It was just utterly divine – a dazzling array of tutus from every era and every corner of the galaxy, all beautifully curated, with stories and historical tidbits that were just captivating! I even snagged a fab photo with the original design sketches for that pink tutu worn by the legendary Stella Stellamaris in the iconic ballet "Stardust Dreams" (the one with the cosmic dance sequences – simply sublime!). It was a truly inspirational morning, darling, and the perfect dose of ballet bliss before I zoomed off to Zephyr!
Speaking of which, oh my, let me tell you about Zephyr – the fashion was absolutely to-die-for! The Zephyr fashion houses really go all out when it comes to their ballet wear, imagine – ballet gear as fine couture! The Zephyrans have a way with embellishing, a real understanding of how to take a classic tutu design and give it that little extra sparkle, that certain je ne sais quoi. I picked up a stunning lavender tutu, embroidered with delicate moon flowers, that will be simply perfect for my upcoming performance with the Zephyrian Dance Ensemble at the "Moonlight Serenade" ballet – it's going to be a real showstopper, I can just feel it! I even got my hands on some seriously gorgeously girly hand-beaded ballerinas, just the ticket for stepping out on Planet Earth tonight!
Speaking of Earth, it feels so good to be back, back amongst my own kind of twirling and twirling! I'm all ready to head to the West End to take in that new musical everyone's been talking about – "Ballerina Boogie." You know, the one set in the Roaring Twenties about the rise and rise of the Jazz ballet era, it's meant to be a real treat! I absolutely love me some live theater, darlings. There's something just magical about the magic of being in the audience and experiencing that electrifying energy. And I'm not afraid to say that a fab theatre outfit can truly set the mood – after all, a glamorous entrance is a crucial part of any Pink Tutu World adventure! This one calls for my sequined flapper dress and those feather-boa gloves. It's going to be fabulously fabulous!
Right then, off I scoot! I’ve a busy day planned and I've got a serious ballet session at the London Ballet Studio later – those new shoes I got from Zephyr need breaking in! But first, some delicious pink lemonade and a little bit of internet time, you wouldn’t catch me missing my favourite bit of the day – posting a blog for all my dearest Pink Tutu World followers. So stay tuned, I'm promising lots more exciting adventures and fab finds on Planet Earth (and maybe another totally out-of-this-world tutu discovery – you never know with this little Pink Tutu girl, it's always about making dreams come true one tutu at a time, my darlings!
