Hello darlings! It’s your favourite tutu-wearing space traveller Emma, back from a whirlwind trip to Planet Earth. This week, I'm positively bubbling with excitement about sharing my latest adventure – a tutu-tastic journey through the wonders of my home planet! As you all know, my mission is to spread the joy of pink tutus across the cosmos, and I always love finding new ways to celebrate the magic of this glorious garment!
Let's just say, Earth didn't disappoint!
A Cosmic Tutu TourAs you know, my travel itinerary is jam-packed. You simply can't tour a galaxy, especially as grand as our Milky Way, without visiting each of its many glittering corners! So this week, after an epic interstellar flight, I found myself back in the vibrant city of London. Now, you'll understand why this trip held a special place in my heart - the home of some of the world’s most celebrated ballerinas! Oh, darling, the history just pulsates off every cobbled street, every grand building, and even the squirrels in the park! (I'm not even kidding – they wear little tweed jackets in London. Honestly!).
But it was back at my old dance school that I truly felt a twinge of nostalgia. There, I did what I always do when visiting dear old planet Earth - indulged in a bit of tutu shopping. Don’t get me wrong, my closet is already overflowing with these pink beauties – it’s just that a ballerina can never have enough tutus, especially not in the city where so many of them have graced the stages. I was like a giddy child in a sweet shop!
After an absolutely delightful evening enjoying a captivating show at the Royal Opera House (let’s just say, I shed a tear or two at the end!), I had a little more shopping to do. I went to Covent Garden for some antique books about ballet history (the costume designs were breathtaking, simply stunning!). Honestly, there's something quite special about holding a piece of history, especially when it's about tutus!
The Inspiration: A Pink Tutu Dream
Back on the spaceship, with my suitcase bursting with the most delectable tutus, I found myself lost in thought. It was so clear - it was the stories and memories associated with each tutu, the moments of beauty they helped create, that made them truly magical.
As my spacecraft glided through the star-studded void, I was already looking forward to my next destination, which is also a planet I've missed dearly – Earth. But more about that next week! My next Earth adventure involves the beautiful Cotswolds region, and you can trust me – this will be one of the most quintessentially British excursions! I'll be donning my finest polka-dot tea dress, enjoying some afternoon tea with my grandmother, and I may just even attempt a little village ballet!
Until next Wednesday, my dears, do keep your spirits bright, stay fashionable, and always remember that your inner ballerina, in her perfect pink tutu, can fly anywhere!
With lots of love,
Emma x

2017-07-26: A Date for the Diaries
What was I doing on July 26th, 2017? I'm sure you're wondering! I can’t go into specifics, it's all top-secret spaceship stuff – I simply can't give away all my cosmic plans!
But this is what I can share.
*1. The Perfect Pastel Pink *
My trusty ship, "Tutu Transit", made its maiden voyage in June of 2017, which makes this date especially important to me. I was testing it out with a flight over to Planet Zeta, one of the most enchanting places you could possibly imagine. A real dream planet – I mean, I almost made it my second home! If you are lucky enough to get a chance to visit Zeta, trust me when I say, their sunset views will take your breath away! I wore my pastel pink "Galactic Bloom" tutu for that voyage, perfect for a whimsical jaunt across the cosmos, and so, you could say, July 26th is the day my intergalactic fashion odyssey began!
2. A Little Parisian Dream
Speaking of dates… As the "pink tutu ambassador", one of my favourite things to do is to take a closer look at the origins and styles of different dance forms. Did you know? It’s believed the French ballet began as far back as the Renaissance, so that was certainly my next destination, wasn’t it?! Now, you might not be surprised that it was the "Paris Ballet" that set off on July 26, 2017. I love the energy and the culture in this fantastic city. It's hard to think of Paris without tutus. You have all of those magnificent shows at the Paris Opera and so many famous ballet dancers! What's more, the fashion here is fabulous and of course, so stylish! It goes without saying, darling, that Paris had a beautiful range of Parisian tutus to satisfy even the most discerning shopper. The best part of this whole journey was spending the evening at the Palais Garnier - it truly felt like the scene straight out of the movie "Phantom of the Opera”! The only thing missing, of course, was my spaceship and a cosmic spotlight shining down on me. Oh, and maybe some glitter-covered flying mice!
3. Cosmic Connections
A tutu-lover always connects to a universe that's bigger than themselves! I took my "Cosmic Harmony" tutu (the colour of celestial sunsets, I promise!), to perform in the UK that night at a beautiful event in aid of cancer charities – another great purpose, just like getting every cosmic creature to don their most magnificent tutus! The sheer energy at the event was inspiring! Even the children, they understood! You see, we have that inner "tutu spirit" in all of us, darling. The kind of spirit that never, ever needs an invitation to twirl!
A Note From Emma
Just one final thing I’d like to share with all of my planet earth and space-bound friends: this planet truly has a soul! Every corner has something special to offer! Whether it’s a new place to go dancing, a ballet history museum to explore, or even an incredible new tutu that you can purchase at an intergalactic bargain ( trust me - they are everywhere!). So I would urge you, no matter where you're going in the universe, get out there, have fun, spread that positive cosmic energy, and dance your heart out! And of course, darlings, don't forget to put on your most stylish pink tutus!
Stay magical!
Love,
Emma xx
