Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth, Episode #1186 🩰🌎

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, and this Wednesday's post is about a fabulous recent adventure: ballet on planet Earth! Well, technically it's been a couple of weeks, but I'm just so excited about it I couldn't wait to tell you all! I spent 17th January taking in the ballet delights of planet Earth - a real whirlwind tour! 🌎

Let's just say it was an utterly enchanting experience. I'm not just talking about the shows (although they were truly mesmerising), but also about the fascinating people I met and the wonderful, utterly charming atmosphere of planet Earth itself! Oh, the pink, the glitter, the tutus... I'm sure you can already imagine! 😍

But let's rewind a little bit. I've been so incredibly busy with intergalactic ballet performances - you've probably seen the snaps on my Instagram already. My dance troupe and I performed in a pink supernova explosion of pure tutu joy for a very exclusive event on Saturn last week, followed by a spectacular pas de deux for the Alpha Centauri's prestigious Galactic Gala. We did an enchanting version of The Swan Lake, and yes, of course I wore a swan-themed pink tutu – a gorgeous masterpiece designed by the famous Arcturian designer, Zephyr. You just have to look fabulous when performing on the stars!✨

But there was always this nagging little thought about getting back to planet Earth, back to the ballet origins, back to where it all began. It was time to visit the homeland of the most influential tutu designers and witness the grandeur of a traditional ballet on stage. A beautiful full circle journey.

My spaceship touched down on the shores of Derbyshire, my little slice of planet Earth, right on time to meet my sister, Sally, for a classic ballet at the Derby Theatre. She had the most amazing pale lilac-hued tulle tutu for the occasion, complete with silver sequin detailing - just the right level of elegance and dazzle for this event! 🀩 It just goes to show that planet Earth still knows how to create a proper dazzling ballet costume. I loved how Sally's tutu matched the soft, romantic lavender and dusky lilac colours in her dress and bag – perfect for a balletic affair.

We sat in the stalls, watching the pas de deux unfold right in front of us, captivated by the choreography and the dancers' elegant leaps and spins. It was amazing to feel the connection to all those passionate souls, to experience a beautiful world of movement, light and emotion that is ballet. 🩰

After the show, I couldn't wait to do a little vintage ballet treasure hunting, which, as always, led to some very exciting finds! You know me – I always have to hunt for the most divine and decadent ballet outfits on every trip to planet Earth, no matter how brief!

It wouldn't be a trip to Earth without a little indulgence. So, Sally and I did a spot of high-street shopping after the theatre, picking up the latest sparkling tutu skirts and pink tops for future balletic adventures. I've been wearing the glittery pink tutu skirt everywhere since, with the softest shade of pink sequined tank top. It’s perfect for both formal occasions and simply getting your dance on. πŸ’•

You've got to be strategic with your planet Earth shopping trip. Firstly, the shops are jam-packed with fab accessories! Everything you can imagine, and then some. We found some brilliant little pink hair ribbons, silver shoe clips and even some amazing shimmery leg warmers to wear over our ballet shoes, in the coolest shades of dusky rose and mint green. I always look for something unusual! πŸ‘ βœ¨

Second, you can find the most amazing ballet tutus in the biggest range of colours ever! The sky is literally the limit – you could wear one to the moon in all shades of purple and pinks, as long as the tutus were from planet Earth. Seriously! It’s hard to stop myself from buying the entire collection, even though I only have one small suitcase to fit everything into! 🀯

And lastly, the ballet shows themselves! There are so many! You can go to real live theatrical productions, a modern ballet festival, or simply check out the local ballet classes, for a chance to learn some moves. Whatever you are after, you can be certain that planet Earth can accommodate. Ballet has this special, unique space in all their hearts. I felt such a warm sense of welcome! It just makes you feel good – ballet has a really powerful way of bringing people together, whether in outer space or here on planet Earth. βœ¨πŸ’«

Before I get back to space-travelling duties, I wanted to mention two more of the things I enjoyed the most about planet Earth on my latest visit. Firstly, it’s incredible to be back at my roots and spend time with Sally, seeing my own planet and reminiscing about old times, sharing childhood memories, the good stuff you know.

And lastly, I just love the diversity of the shops here. On my trip, I found the cutest little vintage shop with a dazzling array of vintage dance outfits and accessories. And don't even get me started on the variety of shops that sell those wonderfully vibrant colours - the greens, the blues, the pinks! Oh my!

Planet Earth truly has so much to offer, and it truly feels like a second home every time I visit. It’s the place where you can truly embrace the pink and glitter dreams, with so many things to discover and enjoy. I've already started planning my next visit! πŸ˜‰
