Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth!

#1207 13th June 2018

Hello darlings, and welcome to my little corner of the internet, Pink Tutu World!

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another post from your favourite tutu-clad intergalactic traveller. Today, I’m back on planet Earth, having just touched down from a whirlwind trip to the fabulous Alpha Centauri system. I know, I know - you’re all dying to hear about the dance extravaganza that is the Alpha Centauri B Ballet Festival, but I have to tell you all about the fabulous trip I had first!

Before I get carried away, I'm going to try to stick to my usual structure today. So, you know the drill, let's talk tutus!

This Week's Tutu:

First things first - I've been in a very girly mood this week. Pink, pink, pink! My current favourite is this absolute dream of a tutu – a bubblegum pink tulle with little glittery starbursts woven throughout. It practically sings a chorus of 'Pinkalicious!' as I twirl around, and I simply had to take it with me on this week’s intergalactic adventure.

This Week's Shopping:

Oh my stars, you wouldn’t believe the shopping I managed to get done in the Alpha Centauri system. My spaceship practically exploded with bags of treasures, and let me tell you, it wasn't just my dance wear that needed a little intergalactic upgrade! There's something about being around so many stars and galaxies that makes me feel adventurous in the clothes department. I even found the most amazing pink leather jumpsuit! Can you believe it? The colour was perfect, and it had a bit of a 'space warrior princess' vibe to it. I knew I needed to bring that little piece of cosmic cool back to Earth with me.

This Week's Shows:

And now, on to the real reason I went to Alpha Centauri B – the ballet! The annual ballet festival there is an incredible affair. Imagine dancers from every corner of the galaxy - sparkly costumes, innovative choreography, and enough energy to power a thousand stars! The shows were simply phenomenal, and it was such an honour to be a part of the crowd.

This year's theme was 'Cosmic Choreography' and you wouldn't believe the creativity the choreographers came up with! One piece was a stunning interpretation of a supernova with dancers who literally pulsed with light! And then there was a show with dancers wearing incredible holographic costumes, that looked like they were orbiting each other in an intricate dance. Absolutely mesmerising!

This Week's Inspirations:

One of the best things about being a dancer from Earth is the incredible cultural exchange between planets! Every galaxy has its own style and stories, and the Alpha Centauri B Ballet Festival was the perfect showcase of just how varied ballet can be. It was just such an inspiring experience, watching dancers who were so different from me, yet sharing that common language of dance.

This Week's Earthly Activities:

Oh my, I am so delighted to be back on Earth this week! I miss it, you know? This little planet holds a special place in my heart, not to mention my favourite dance studios. This week I am planning on hitting all my favourite spots in Derby! I have some fabulous classes planned, and some exciting new performance opportunities that I am incredibly excited to share with you all.

This Week's Ballet Fun Fact:

You all know how much I love tutus. And what's better than one tutu? Multiple tutus! A full skirt ballet outfit is typically made up of three layers of tulle. Can you imagine a galaxy of pink tutus layered on top of each other? The power of dance is strong!

Pink Tutu Dream of the Week:

So, where next, you might ask? Well, my latest intergalactic adventure is being carefully planned. The Andromeda Galaxy is calling! With its magnificent, glittering stars and swirling nebulae, it's the perfect inspiration for a cosmic dance masterpiece!

Remember, everyone can be a ballerina! You don’t have to be a professional to enjoy the magic of dance! Put on a fabulous outfit and a tutu and feel like a cosmic queen! The possibilities are endless! And don’t forget, I love to see your photos – use the hashtag #PinkTutuWorld and I'll be sure to share them on my Instagram!

Keep your pink tutus twinkling! And as always,

Stay sparkly!
