Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing, spaceship-flying, ballet-loving blogger, Emma, back with another post from Planet Earth! I can’t believe it’s been another week since we last touched down on this lovely blue planet - it seems like just yesterday I was gliding through the cosmos in my glittery pink spacesuit!
Today, I’m feeling super excited to share some extra special adventures from my recent jaunt to this cosmic ball of wonder. Remember last week I mentioned my latest ballet fundraising performance? Well, let me tell you, it was an absolute smash! The Derbyshire crowd went wild, they loved every pirouette, every plié, and every twirl. It’s amazing how sharing a bit of ballet joy with the planet Earth helps fund my travels.
Speaking of travelling, I finally arrived at my next intergalactic destination! And can you guess what it was? Of course, I had to make a stop at the illustrious Tutu-tastic Theatre Festival, held right here on planet Earth, where every star and galaxy aligns for a magical celebration of all things dance and fabulous! I even managed to grab a pair of limited edition glitter-covered pointes from their ‘Cosmic Twirl’ collection – perfect for my space ballet debut later on!
Now, the Tutu-tastic Theatre Festival isn’t just your regular, run-of-the-mill dance spectacular. Think celestial glitter, a supernova of talent, and performances so spectacular they leave you levitating in awe! Imagine shimmering holographic dancers suspended from the ceiling, graceful aliens twirling around a nebula backdrop, and shimmering tutus that burst into a kaleidoscope of cosmic colours. That’s just a teeny tiny glimpse into the dazzling, out-of-this-world show that made me realise my dream of spreading the Pink Tutu Movement across the universe is closer than ever!
Oh, before I get lost in a whirl of intergalactic wonder, let's talk about this date: 18th July 2018. It's an extra special day because not only is it my blog day, but also…
- The iconic Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky premiered for the first time back in 1877! This magnificent ballet still holds a special place in my heart – it's full of delicate swans, grand ballerinas, and breathtaking sets! Did you know the famous 'Dying Swan' solo, known for its elegance and heartbreaking grace, was created by Mikhail Fokine, inspired by Anna Pavlova? Just breathtaking!
- It's also International Nelson Mandela Day. Celebrating Nelson Mandela, the iconic freedom fighter and South African politician, is truly inspiring. This is a day dedicated to taking action and promoting peace and equality. What better way to celebrate than to spread love, positivity, and maybe even a little bit of pink tutu magic?
But wait! There’s even more!
You know how I love to scout out amazing tutus from every corner of the galaxy? Well, today, I found myself whisked away on a little shopping spree! I discovered a tiny, twinkling shop called ‘Tutu Wonderland’ in the bustling heart of the Milky Way Galaxy (which conveniently has a direct flight from Planet Earth!). Can you imagine my excitement? Imagine endless shelves of sequined and beaded beauties, sparkly tulle and shimmering feathers, each more fabulous than the last! I was literally bouncing off the walls with delight.
And as if that wasn’t enough, I even managed to score a limited edition holographic tutu from the legendary 'Cosmic Twirl' collection. They say it’s the only one in the entire universe, but I'm still hoping I might stumble across another shimmering sister.
Don't forget, darling! To keep my space adventures going, and spread pink tutu love throughout the galaxy, I'll be back with a captivating, celestial performance this weekend. You won’t want to miss it – think interstellar grace and dazzling celestial dance moves. And don't worry, my beautiful planet Earthlings, I’ll make sure you can catch it on my live feed on my Pink Tutu website - www.pink-tutu.com!
Now, excuse me while I float back to my spaceship, where a whole new galactic adventure awaits. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog, follow me on Instagram, and spread the Pink Tutu love! See you in the cosmos!
Love, Emma x
