Post Number 1232: A Pink Tutu Wonderland on Planet Earth!

Wednesday, 5th December 2018

Oh my darlings, it's me, Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad, intergalactic travel enthusiast, beaming back to you from Planet Earth! I've had a simply divine week here, absolutely jam-packed with balletic brilliance, fashion-forward adventures and enough sparkly pink to make your heart sing!

From the Derbyshire Dales to Dancing with the Stars

Now, I know what you're thinking: Derbyshire isn't exactly a haven for fashion-forward trends, but darling, you'd be wrong! This week I embarked on a whirlwind tour of my home county, uncovering hidden gems and rediscovering the magic of local theatre. First stop? A delightful ballet performance at the quaint little theatre in Buxton, featuring a wonderfully imaginative take on 'The Nutcracker' - I'm not just talking about the traditional performance. Oh no, dear reader, they were serving major sartorial realness in that production. Think gorgeous, shimmery tutus, dazzling velvet jackets, and just the slightest hint of sparkle, with a whole load of vibrant colour on the costumes - a complete masterclass in pink tutu accessorising!

And, just a quick note, a massive thank you to all those Derbyshire dance schools! A special shout out to Buxton's "Step by Step" dance academy. Their adorable pink tutus were the perfect addition to the show!

Taking to the Stage, my Dearest

After my captivating visit to Buxton, it was back to my trusty, reliable spaceship (who am I kidding? It's a pink convertible painted in the most fabulous shade of magenta, but that's my little secret!) and onwards to the next exciting destination on my planet Earth ballet extravaganza.

This week's "Emma's Pink Tutu Performances for Charity" took place in the most gloriously gothic venue in Derby itself, The Old Quad. And what an experience it was! I felt every bit the prima ballerina, gliding across the ancient floorboards. You would be surprised how many of the beautiful locals had dressed up in their finest pink tutus, even in their fifties! There was one particular pink tutu I just loved - it was made from the most divine satin and even had pink feather boa draped around the wearer's neck - I am truly living for a pink boa!

It was an absolutely fabulous night, my darling readers. I received an overwhelming amount of donations for our local hospice. Seeing so many pink tutus in the crowd made my heart sing with joy. I simply can't wait to do another ballet performance at The Old Quad next week - don't miss out, darlings!

Pink Perfection and Parisian Style

But that's not all, darlings! Because this week has also seen me take on a Parisian adventure, the most fashionable city in the entire galaxy, the city of lights... or maybe I should call it the city of... pinks!

I spent an exhilarating few days exploring the charming little boutiques on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and Rue de Sèvres in search of the perfect tutu. Every shop window screamed pink tutus, silk sashes, gorgeous ballet shoes and some of the most beautiful, exquisitely made dance wear you've ever seen. Of course, I simply had to take advantage of the divine shopping experience in this chic, Parisian neighbourhood. And let's face it, what's better than an exquisitely beautiful, handcrafted, full length, soft pink tutu with a stunning diamond embellishment for your next interstellar ball? * Nothing! *

Paris, for all its chic sophistication, definitely delivered on the pink tutu fashion!

But the adventure doesn't stop there, dear readers, oh no...

Next week? My travel plans take me to the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, where I'm guaranteed to encounter some of the most extraordinary fashion creations you've ever witnessed! Imagine this - tutus decorated in cherry blossoms, tutus featuring intricate designs from Japanese calligraphy, and maybe even tutus made entirely out of delicious mochi. Yes, it truly is going to be an unforgettable journey for every fashionista.

I'll be posting my thoughts, style inspirations, and pink-tutu highlights here every Wednesday on www.pink-tutu.com , so make sure you tune in, darlings, because you simply don't want to miss it!

And until then, keep those twirls strong,

Yours in pink,

Emma
