Helloooo my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad, space-travelling ballerina, Emma, back with another stellar blog post. Grab your favourite cuppa, settle into your comfiest pink armchair (I'm rocking a fuzzy, unicorn-print one this week), and let's dive into my latest galactic adventures!
Firstly, a HUGE Thank you to all of you who came to my Tutus of the Cosmos show on Monday night. We absolutely killed it - a truly transcendent experience with the whole galaxy beaming at our twirling magic!
Oh my word, darling readers, you will not believe what happened next. Following the rave reviews (I mean, how could they not be rave reviews with those dazzling pink tutus?), the cosmic space portal opened up to reveal, wait for it, Planet Earth! I literally gasped, clutching my pink feather boa with sheer disbelief. Earth was at the top of my cosmic must-see list, you see. It's known for its dazzling nature, bustling cities, and, whisper it, it’s even known for some of the finest pink tutu designers this side of Andromeda. I had to go!
And now here I am, feeling absolutely pinkalicious in the vibrant, charming heart of Derby. What a fabulous place! Everything about it screams elegant, timeless charm, just like my favourite vintage tutus. I even popped into this adorable little antique shop, crammed with treasures – and guess what? They had a perfectly pink tutu dating back to the 1920s, it was almost like a dream! Imagine all the wonderful dances and adventures that tutu has seen.
This magical world is overflowing with beauty and the most vibrant colors imaginable! Even the local markets, overflowing with sparkling jewellery and floral delights, feel straight out of a fairytale. You know how much I adore my sparkly accessories – think feather boas, headbands, diamante gloves, glitter – I absolutely had to get myself a magnificent tiara for tonight's show, and, of course, nothing less than an authentic Derbyshirian china ornament for my spaceship – just picture the sparkly, bright china against the cold dark of outer space – total design inspiration, don’t you think?
Speaking of sparkle, this December 26th is truly the perfect time to be on Planet Earth! The Christmas decorations are still up - glittering trees and twinkling fairy lights everywhere! It's like a universe of magic itself, full of good cheer and delightful warmth, which, for a pink tutu wearing ballerina who prefers intergalactic chill, is most welcome!
Today's plans? Oh, how delightful. After a quick morning yoga session to stretch out those pink-toned ballerina muscles, I’m going to spend some time in my pinkest of pink spaceship. Today, I’m going to have a very special visit from ‘Cosmo,’ my resident glitter-loving galactic robot friend! He's always the life of the party, a real charmer, you know? (And with an equally infectious giggle to boot.) He’ll be sharing secrets and showing me the absolute best of this celestial body from a technological point of view. I'll let you know how the conversation goes - let's just say that space-robots have a lot of fascinating ideas about Earth-culture. (Trust me, my friends, Cosmo always keeps it real).
I might even be trying my hand at making some space-inspired, earth-themed ballet shoes – I’m thinking sparkly, starry embellishments and maybe a splash of lunar silver. (I know what you’re thinking - those shoes will make a statement.) Oh, and another exciting detail: Cosmo will be playing all my favorite ballet tunes as he guides me through the fascinating world of Earth’s tech. There's something truly magical about the rhythm and grace of a tutu twirl set to a space-age symphony!
Then it's show time! I am delighted to announce, to all of you wonderful tutu lovers, that my ‘Dancing Through the Galaxy’ show, will be taking place later today at the Cosmic Circus Theatre! If you're on Planet Earth this Wednesday evening, you're in for a treat! I’ll be taking you all on a dazzling tour of some of my favourite planets, dancing to the sounds of distant galaxies.
Get ready to ignite your imagination, dear readers! My performances are known for being wildly exciting, with a sprinkle of *pink magic to be found everywhere. Think spectacular *pink tutus, shimmery glitter effects and maybe even a surprise cosmic guest appearance or two. (Who knows? The possibilities are endless! ) Oh, I’m sure this one will be an absolutely unforgettable, heart-fluttering experience - it always is when I wear my special intergalactic-pink, nebula-themed tutu! It just sparkles like a galaxy. Absolutely divine.
I'll also be selling a few *rare, exclusive, sparkly, tutus on the night – it’s first come, first served, darlings! If you’ve got the money, you've got the style! Monday: * Ballet performance (always!) – Tonight, we are twirling and leaping at the Galaxy Dance Academy * Tutu shopping (always!) – I'm off to the most glamorous boutiques * A little ballet research in a quaint, old bookshop. * Relaxation en pointe - (pink bubble bath, face masks, all that!)
Tuesday: * Pink morning tea and catching up with my friends on the other side of the cosmic portal (We video call using this fab little gadget that projects holograms, don't you just love the magic of modern tech?) * The Cosmic Ballroom Dancing Club meeting: I will sparkle on the dancefloor * More fabulous, fabulous fashion - A designer dress-making workshop. (Maybe we’ll design a limited-edition pink tutu!)
Wednesday: * I’m taking the morning to write this fab blog post! * A bit of a pink yoga session (pink mat, pink leggings and all - my motto is ‘if it's not pink, it’s wrong’) * Meeting my special friend Cosmo for cosmic chat and tech updates. * Show time – My ‘Dancing Through the Galaxy’ performance
Thursday:
* More tutu shopping - Planet Earth's shopping malls never fail to amaze!
* Dancing class – the Ballet Academy is my new favourite place!
* Catching a live musical theatre show. This world knows how to do theater. I love all the drama!
Friday: * Spending the morning writing a blog post about my show and the spectacularly pink tutus * Galactic karaoke night at my local pub - oh, you just know it's going to be pinkalicious! (Anyone who doesn't come to a karaoke night is missing out!)
Saturday: * A planet earth pink picnic with my dance troupe. It's a fantastic group (always in sync and we twirl together with a symphony of color). * A fabulous dress rehearsal for my next *Dancing Through the Galaxy show*.
Sunday: * Time for creative dreaming, design, and dance ideas. My sketchbook is filled with so much pink inspiration! (You know I just can’t stop twirling) * An intergalactic party in my spaceship! I will have my friends from all corners of the universe.
