Pink Tutu World: Blog Post 1236: Planet Earth - 2nd January 2019

Hello darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu World!

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for a new blog post, and I’m so excited to share my adventures with you today.

First, let me say a huge, pink sparkly "HELLO" to all my new followers! It's absolutely lovely to see new faces, or rather new eye-shaped orifices in my online world!

This week, my intergalactic travels have taken me back to Planet Earth! Yes, I’m back in Derbyshire for a little while.

Now, let’s be honest, a girl can only take so much space travel. It's tiring - the time zones, the alien languages (although they're much more polite than that horridly rude Star Fleet bloke on that dreadful space ship I took to Alpha Centauri – and did he know the name of a good ballet teacher around those parts?!)

Of course, after all that stellar travelling, the thing I was most excited to do was slip back into my favourite pink tutu. You see, my darlings, there’s something about the soft tulle, the delicate silk, that’s so very Earthly.

Let's talk tutus.

Of course, as we all know, there’s nothing quite like wearing a pink tutu to make a statement! Whether I'm twirling through the Andromeda galaxy or catching a show at the Royal Opera House, a good tutu just elevates everything, don't you think?

There’s something about it – that little swish, the flutter, the way it just seems to radiate... pinkness. And let’s be honest, nothing says "pink perfection" more than a truly elegant pink tutu, don’t you agree?

Fashion Fun

Speaking of "pink perfection", let’s talk a little bit about this week’s shopping spree in the human world. There’s something about a walk through Harrods, don't you think? It's like a dream come true, especially when you can practically touch that famous Dior window!

But it wasn’t all posh designer frocks and diamond tiaras. No, this week I managed to find the most amazing new pink satin tutu. I know what you’re thinking – you're wondering "what is so amazing about a tutu?" I hear you.

This tutu is just heavenly, my dears. It's perfectly cut to give me the ideal swirl and twirl, but what’s really amazing is that the satin is absolutely luminous – I swear, you can see a reflection of a galaxy of stars on it!

Yes, my little lovelies, that is no ordinary tutu!

Of course, my travels aren’t just about finding amazing tutus. One of the things I love most about this little planet called Earth is the chance to get a little bit of culture.

You see, this week was a particularly good week to be on Earth!

Not only is it practically everyone's birthday because it’s the start of January – oh, what a splendid month! - it's also when they have a little festival for "The Three Wise Men" as it's the feast of Epiphany! I do love how these traditions carry on for centuries, and that little baby from Bethlehem is said to have been visited by three, quite frankly, amazing fashionistas! And, of course, how else would those men arrive but with a fabulous entourage, and no, not camels, but a spaceship. I imagine the men, all three in shimmering golden capes with silver tunics, and of course all the space-ship entourage in perfect little pink tutus. Yes, I think it's perfectly possible the Epiphany Star was really a ship-full of tutu wearing ladies! *Do you agree?

Oh, it was absolutely magical! The shows were spectacular, and I even met some wonderful human designers and craftspeople in a tiny cafe near the West End - They showed me their work, some absolutely fabulous fashion ideas and I gave them all pink feather boas - yes, a gift for me, a gift for them! What can I say, my life is one big ballet in a sea of pinks!

And don't forget – I'll be back next Wednesday, with even more pink adventures and exciting tutu-related fun, and who knows maybe a spot of ballet?

Now, get your feet in position, remember the five positions, a graceful first port de bras, a perfect arabesque and remember... keep those tutus swirling!

Till next week, darling!

With lots of love,

Emma.
