Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth - Post No. 1242

Hello my darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new post on Pink Tutu World! And what a post it is, because guess what? I'm back on Planet Earth! After a whirlwind tour of the Alpha Centauri system, it was time to return to my favourite planet – not because of the pink sunsets, no, I'm actually a bit of a sun-tan phobe, but because I had a fabulous ballet performance lined up!

This week's blog is extra special as we're exploring the magic of ballet on Planet Earth - think graceful twirls, elegant jumps, and, of course, those beautiful pink tutus, my favourite!

My Journey Home

I landed back on Earth a few days ago and as my spaceship, Twirling Star, landed on the grass at my friend, Chloe's, beautiful Derbyshire home, I just felt so incredibly happy. She’s my biggest supporter, and is a wonderful dancer and tutus lover. The English countryside was even more picturesque after all those intergalactic adventures, the fields green and bright, the fresh air invigorating, and the houses quaint, and so photogenic for my Insta feed!

Chloe had baked the most fabulous Victoria sponge cake with my favorite pink icing, a beautiful homemade welcome after a long journey in space!

The Ballet

Now, what you all really want to know is: how was the ballet? Let's just say I was absolutely captivated! I don’t like to spoil any surprises, so I’m going to tell you a bit about this production before I give my thoughts on the actual performance.

I went to see a fantastic adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake at the magnificent Royal Opera House. I am, as you all know, an avid follower of ballet, and Swan Lake is just a classic, so it’s always an exciting event. The dancers, as always, were exceptional and the costumes, heavenly! Chloe loved it too, and told me afterwards how beautiful it all was - it’s just what I needed after a week in space, an evening of pure beauty.

### Tutu Love

My lovely friend helped me select my outfit for the ballet! You can imagine my dilemma - I had brought home some new tulle tutus from Jupiter – the fashion in the Milky Way galaxy is incredible, let me tell you - but for a classic ballet I wanted to go for the classically elegant look with my favorite tutu from the Paris store. I was torn between my exquisite pale pink feathered tutu and a stunning dark pink sequined number, both of which I knew would have looked fantastic! In the end, we decided on a soft blush pink, as I just love how delicate and feminine the color looks on me – pink, after all, is the color of ballet for me. Of course, it wasn’t all about the tutu. My outfit was completed by my elegant pale pink scarf - a little bit of my travels added to my outfit, a touch of intergalactic fashion!

Chloe chose a wonderful dress, a midnight blue with delicate pink flower embroidery, a complimentary look to my tutu!

Post Ballet

Chloe and I celebrated after the show in the Royal Opera House’s amazing restaurant with the most delicious champagne and food. After all that ballet magic, a glass of fizz and some good food are definitely called for! The night finished with us planning our next ballet outing to see Giselle. We can't wait!

A Pink Tutu World on Planet Earth

It’s always so uplifting to be back on Planet Earth. I don't think any other planet can compete with the vibrant, chaotic, fun and amazing culture that exists on this wonderful place.

However, I am so happy to share all of these adventures with you! My journey from the Earth, to the stars, and back again, and to share my love for all things pink tutu!

I encourage everyone reading this to try out ballet if you've never been. You might be surprised at how much you love it! It is such a fun and rewarding activity.

I’m already looking forward to the ballet performances on my schedule next week!

### Travel & Fashion

I’m loving Planet Earth’s fashion scene, so here’s a little insight into my purchases from this trip!

Pink Feathered Tutu – from the Moon Market.

My new tutu is divine - this gorgeous confection from the Moon Market has so much soft pink tulle. I will definitely be pairing this with my white satin shoes!

Pink Crystal Crown – Jupiter Boutique

This amazing pink diamond studded crown from Jupiter’s exclusive boutique is something extra special! I will need to get my tiara wearing on!

Pink Fluffy Sandals – Venus Shoe Emporium

I couldn’t leave the beautiful Venus without some exquisite footwear! The fluffy sandals are so light and soft. My perfect summer shoe!

### A Week In The Life

As you can imagine my week is absolutely jam-packed with activities, so here is a typical schedule for a tutu-loving, intergalactic ballerina!

Monday Morning: Morning yoga - essential for the perfect posture and for the core strengthening – very important for all that twirling. And to get ready for Tuesday’s ballet classes. Lunch: My favourite fruit smoothie ( with an added extra shot of pink flavors – the best place for fruit in the galaxy is on Mercury, I would recommend their peach & strawberry flavors, my absolute favourite!) Afternoon: Tutu alterations and design - my own unique ballet wear is my special skill and you know I have to keep on top of things with some exciting new collections in the works! Evening: Ballet practice with the company - keeping up my strength for my next ballet show - always the best part of the week.

Tuesday Morning: Ballet practice in the morning – for me, ballet is so relaxing. Lunch: Quick bite with a delicious tutu tea – the most perfect snack for a ballet dancer.
Afternoon: Shopping. I just can’t resist some retail therapy in my favorite stores - it’s just a guilty pleasure. Evening: Evening Ballet classes with a new dance routine to practice!

Wednesday Morning: Blogging! I absolutely love to put together my planet earth blog - sharing my journey and love of ballet, pink and all things amazing. Lunch: Afternoon Tea at a local café.
Evening: Performance. I get a real thrill from being on the stage – my passion.

Thursday Morning: Tutu design and alterations - it is the best job! Lunch: Shopping – I have a major habit when it comes to tutus! Afternoon: Planning my next galactic adventures, with an eye on Venus and the new tutus from Mars that I’m interested in buying – just one of the perks of my life! Evening: Meeting with other dancers and sharing our experiences and planning some joint events.

Friday Morning: Morning yoga. Lunch: Quick lunch in my favorite café - my favorite is a pink fruit salad with cream ( I use a delicious almond cream as its good for you but still makes the salad indulgent!). Afternoon: Ballet rehearsal for our weekend show - all of that hard work is coming together - this is where I feel I truly come alive in this world. Evening: Catch up with family – always good to be surrounded by my beloved ones after all that traveling!

Saturday Morning: Meeting with other performers and going to the theatre. Afternoon: Catch up with the performance. A fun time where the entire performance comes to life - a lot of emotions as always - a dream come true in a way. I get very emotional before each performance – but it all fades into the background when you are doing what you love, wearing your dream tutu – an outfit that makes you feel divine, powerful and extravagant all at the same time.
Evening: Dinner with family and friends - celebrating another fabulous week of dancing, performances and intergalactic travels!

Sunday Morning: Yoga. Lunch: Shopping for my next adventure - getting ready for some galactic fashion – you can never have too many tutus, or too much pink! Afternoon: Spending time in my favourite spots with a good book. Time for relaxation after the hectic week. Evening: Evening spent getting ready for another fabulous week of performing and galactic travel!
