Planet Earth: Pink Tutu Diaries, Episode 1289! 🩰✨

Hiya darlings! It’s Emma here, your very own intergalactic pink tutu ambassador, and I'm so excited to be back with another thrilling installment of Pink Tutu Diaries from planet Earth!

This week has been an absolute whirlwind of adventure and fashion! 💅💄

Remember how I was saying in last week’s post that the celestial forces were definitely pulling me to a certain intergalactic shopping spree? Well, I was right, darlings! This little ballerina landed herself in the most dazzling city of neon lights and cosmic couture - Andromeda Galaxy’s fabulous Fashion Quarter! ✨💫

Honestly, it's like a glittery, futuristic fairytale come to life! We're talking buildings that change colours with the wind, stores filled with outfits crafted from star dust, and… (get ready to be dazzled) a pink holographic tutu shop that had me weak at the knees! Honestly, I almost fainted from sheer excitement, but thankfully, the sweet cosmic salespeople plied me with some of their special "Tutu Sparkle Tea" that, according to them, “was made from the laughter of 10,000 dancing asteroids.” I don't know what was in it, but let me tell you, I could have stayed in that shop forever, admiring the incredible shimmering creations.

Of course, being the intergalactic fashion queen that I am, I just had to take a new tutu home with me! This one’s got these adorable little holographic moon craters all over it. Talk about cosmic couture! 🌕 It will be the perfect statement piece for my upcoming performance at the Cosmic Ballet Ball in the Andromeda Galaxy, a grand affair which just happens to be happening on this very day, 2020-01-08!

I must confess, though, I wasn't entirely prepared for what happened in the Andromeda Fashion Quarter, darling. Remember how I said I almost fainted? Well, the culprit? A divine surprise, an outfit of the most exquisite beauty, a pink sequined dress so sparkly it nearly blinded me! Honestly, I think the Universe is trying to tell me something! 😂 It was calling out to me, beckoning me with all the cosmic power it could muster. What’s a ballerina girl to do but obey the universe’s cosmic siren call?

Needless to say, I went a little pink tutu crazy and indulged in a very strategic spending spree. I’ve already been in the rehearsal space, and trust me, the stars have aligned just perfectly – the shimmering outfit goes fantastically with my new cosmic tutu! It’s gonna be an explosion of fabulousness, and the Universe won't be able to get enough! 💅

Speaking of fabulously sparkly outfits, my planet Earth shopping adventures haven’t ended just yet! Today was the opening night for a truly enchanting ballet at the London Coliseum: Swan Lake! ✨🦢 I could have wept tears of joy, and possibly a few diamonds (the necklace I bought for the occasion had a little accident in the cab and some glitter went missing!), as the beautiful ballerinas danced their graceful souls away, in an utterly captivating performance. I was so entranced that, well, let’s just say I didn’t leave the ballet store empty handed – just one teeny tiny handbag, just a few shoes, just a few accessories, just a teeny bit of sparkly jewelry, and just a few more new outfits… all totally necessary and completely on sale.

Let’s not forget my essential outfit shopping stop at my favourite London vintage clothing store on Wardour Street, just near my darling Soho Square. A fabulous tutu-worthy sequinned shirt landed in my basket, perfect for my evening rehearsals and for that fabulous look we’re going for for tonight’s big performance.

I honestly love the history of tutu style and fashion here on Earth, from the iconic dancers who started the tutu trends to the intricate craftsmanship of each and every layer of tulle and silk.

As we speak, my heart is filled with all the emotions a ballet dancer can feel – a nervous excitement for tonight’s performance! 💫 We're talking grand finale in front of the whole cosmic community - talk about pressure, darlings! But, it’s pressure that is going to turn me into a dazzling supernova! 💥 The sheer spectacle will leave everyone awestruck!

Just picture it! The beautiful lights, the mesmerising music, the glittering sequins and, of course, a little ballerina twirling gracefully across the stage in her beautiful, shimmery pink tutu. There’s truly nothing more beautiful. 🥰

Until next time, darlings,

Stay sparkly!

Love, Emma

The Pink Tutu Blog: What is happening on Planet Earth: 2020-01-08

Speaking of all things Earthly, let’s have a little gossip on all the cool and fashionable events happening right now on this fantastic planet.

Events happening today, January 8th, 2020 on Planet Earth:

Today is a super exciting day on planet Earth for ballet lovers – as I just mentioned above, we have Swan Lake at the London Coliseum, a truly legendary performance by some of Earth's finest dancers. 🦢 The gorgeous Swan Lake music by Tchaikovsky was one of the first tunes I ever learnt, even before I even had any idea I wanted to become a ballet dancer, as it was always playing in the local Derbyshire park where I would often spend hours spinning and prancing around in the flower gardens! 🌸🌻 I was literally born to dance, if you ask me.

It is a super exciting day for UK fashion lovers with the launch of the London Fashion Week - always an extravaganza! 👠 It is a truly special event, an epic explosion of colourful clothes, fabulous style, and beautiful creative people all gathering for the ultimate celebration of fashion! What is super trendy on Earth right now is the new season's colour – pink! It's a great sign that more and more people are finally getting into that fabulously girly colour. 💅

In Derby, Derbyshire (England): There are a load of interesting events going on here. Check out The Grand's show, 'Time For Us', which will be running all throughout January! They’re also showing the super funny film, The Boat That Rocked, about the radio days back in the 70s - and the very awesome The Greatest Showman (which was also made here in Derby) is also on in the theatres - with a musical soundtrack guaranteed to get your toes tapping! 🎬🎶 It looks like there’s some real party time coming up for this super fab UK town. 😉

And finally, darlings, we just cannot ignore the fact that 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe), so let’s raise a glass (of champagne, darling, no less!), to our heroes of World War II. Cheers! 🥂

That is it for this week darlings, but I will be back next Wednesday!

Until then, remember to stay beautiful, strong and oh so stylish, even when the universe tries to tempt you with more than just sparkly outfits. 💅💫
