Pink Tutu World: Planet Earth Blog Post #1340 – 30th December 2020 – Intergalactic Adventures: From Derbyshire to the Cosmos!

Hello my darling tutu twirlers! Welcome back to another week of fabulous fun with your favourite spacefaring ballerina, Emma! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means – it's Pink Tutu World time!

Let's start with a twirl, a flourish, and a grand jeté right into the heart of things. As you all know, the festive season has officially wrapped itself in a warm blanket of post-Christmas joy. The sugar plum fairies have packed their sparkly bags, the reindeer are back to their regular antler duties, and I've taken down my towering Christmas tree adorned with a million miniature tutus. (It really was quite the spectacle!).

This week, however, my attention has been diverted away from mince pies and festive lights and straight to the twinkling, wondrous wonders of the cosmos. I've been adventuring across the universe – as you do, darling – with my loyal (and equally pink-loving) space-ship, "The Ballerina" (you wouldn't believe the stunning neon pink interior. I've added little starlight projectors that twirl with the rhythm of the music!).

Now, let's get one thing straight. While "The Ballerina" has taken me on some breathtaking journeys – I mean, the swirling nebulae and crystallised planets were a total feast for the eyes – the truth is, my absolute favourite stop this week has been a small, familiar planet you all know and love...Planet Earth.

Yes, I know, what a cliché! But seriously, there's something magical about coming home to Earth after spending a few days pirouette-ing through galaxies. It was the simple things that got me – the scent of pine trees, the sound of laughter echoing through crisp winter air, the comforting glow of Christmas lights still lingering. Plus, there's a very specific reason for my planet-Earth return...

Back to the Tutu Roots

To say I was excited to attend "The Nutcracker" at the prestigious Royal Opera House would be a vast understatement. I'm a big fan of Tchaikovsky's masterpiece, and the choreography for this performance was truly captivating. They even included a stunning variation where the Sugar Plum Fairy – yes, it was truly an enchanting creation, with shimmering wings and a gorgeous tutu made from gossamer – twirled, danced and leaped her way into my heart.

You see, "The Nutcracker" has always been a magical experience for me. I distinctly remember my first experience seeing the show, sitting nestled between my Mum and Dad in the balcony seats of the Derby Theatre. I was so young back then, maybe five or six? And I was absolutely entranced, mesmerised by the dancers. Little did I know that my little Derbyshire town held a future ballerinas’ heart! From then, my love for "The Nutcracker" (and tutus, of course!), never wavered. It ignited a passion for dance, performance, and a love for all things beautifully extravagant – from intricate costumes to grand productions.

So yes, you could say "The Nutcracker" was where it all began. And now, returning to the same stage where my dance dreams were born was truly exhilarating. I had the opportunity to catch up with old friends from my childhood ballet class (remember me, I'm the one with the crazy pink tutus! Everyone always remembers me – I still think it's because of the pink!) We reminisced about past dance performances and, of course, my adventures around the universe! (Some of my old teachers, who knew me as that crazy tutu loving kid, were completely mind-blown by my tales of intergalactic pirouettes!)

### Tutu Twirls and a New Year’s Wish

And the festivities continue, darling! You've probably seen the social media feeds erupting with dazzling fireworks and New Year's Eve parties. But I confess, I’m taking things a little slower, relishing the quietude of the early evening, the peaceful silence as the world transitions into a brand new year.

New year, new goals, new ambitions! And my New Year’s wish is simple: I wish that every single being in this glorious universe would find the joy and empowerment in wearing a pink tutu. (I can practically hear the "Pink Tutu World" fan club screaming “yes!”) I imagine galactic intergalactic ballroom dance nights, swirling nebulae coloured tutus, and aliens from every corner of the cosmos twirling and leaping in pink tulle. It's a future that’s practically singing and swirling to the beat of a magnificent tutu orchestra!

That's all for now, darlings! I’ll be back next week with another episode of Pink Tutu World!

Until then, don't forget to follow me on Instagram (@PinkTutuWorld) for daily dose of tutus and out of this world adventure updates, and subscribe to www.pink-tutu.com for the latest posts. And of course, most importantly – never be afraid to twirl!

Love,

Emma, your resident pink tutu wearing intergalactic ballerina, signing off from Planet Earth.

Now, I'll be completely honest. It’s not just about the pink tutus, my darlings. Yes, it’s a whimsical, outlandish symbol, but I’m also on a quest to inspire a sense of self-expression, courage and freedom, and the unwavering belief that we can achieve anything we set our minds to!

For those of you who'd love to follow my footsteps through the cosmos – it’s never been easier. You see, my universe doesn't belong to any single race, species, or identity. Every single one of you – yes you, right there! – has the power to embrace a bold, magical, pink tutu kind of life! So why not embrace the wildness, and dive into a new world of experiences? I guarantee you will love it.

You’ll find me performing next week at the London Palladium for a gala fundraising evening for "A Tutu for All." Yes, it’s an incredible charity aiming to give every single child, regardless of circumstances, the opportunity to wear a pink tutu. The money we’re raising goes directly to supporting community ballet classes, providing new costumes and making dreams come true!

But wait! I have another fantastic surprise! As part of our upcoming New Year's fundraising campaign, "The Ballerina" is up for auction! Yes, my intergalactic, pink spaceship, your own private ticket to stardust and swirling nebulas. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!
