Hello, my gorgeous space-loving ballerinas! It's Emma here, reporting live from Planet Earth, where the sky is a dazzling shade of blue (or sometimes a stormy grey, but that's just the Earth showing off, darling!). This Wednesday, 6th January 2021, is all about exploring the vibrant universe in our glorious pink tutus. After all, isn't it fabulous to twirl through the cosmos, radiating happiness and sunshine wherever we go?
Now, my darling tutu enthusiasts, I'm back from another sensational galactic adventure, this time with a trip to the magical land of... drumroll… Antarctica! I know, I know, not the most obvious destination for a pink-loving tutu-obsessed space traveller. But hear me out! Antarctica, with its frosty beauty, dazzling glaciers, and incredible wildlife, had so many wonderful photo opportunities. And of course, it’s the perfect spot to showcase a gorgeous, shimmery winter tutu. I might be biased, but I reckon it looked absolutely smashing against that snow-white backdrop!
You see, darling, part of my quest for global pink tutu domination (don't you love the alliteration?) is showing everyone that you can rock a pink tutu absolutely anywhere. From the tropical rainforest to the snowy peaks, from a spaceship to a shopping mall, we are proving to the universe that this fabulous fashion choice is for everyone, everywhere!
And as usual, I've picked up a few dazzling gems from my latest adventure to add to my fabulous wardrobe. Now, I'm not just talking about another extravagant new pink tutu, no no, my lovelies. Let’s talk accessories. I managed to snag a stunning penguin-shaped broach in a local market in Antarctica. Did you know that there are penguins that have a special pink and orange feather on their chest, almost as if they were little tutu-loving, feather-adorned creatures sent to earth? I mean, what are the chances?
Back here on planet Earth, January brings so much to love: it's the perfect time to reflect on the magic of the Christmas season and dream of exciting ballet performances to come. Speaking of ballet, this year my friends are joining me on my quest for pink tutu brilliance! We're working on some spectacular ballet shows, designed to wow our earth audiences, whilst simultaneously spreading the gospel of the pink tutu to far-flung corners of the universe. I can’t wait for you all to see the results – the tutus are fabulous!
To fuel my creative juices, I recently indulged in a rather fabulous ballet outing. A new, breathtaking rendition of The Nutcracker had premiered on the West End, with the most mesmerising sets and costumes. And what’s more, all the ballerinas sported pink tulle and pink ribbons – a perfect example of how the pink tutu can even enhance traditional ballet. The sheer magic of a stage, alight with so many twinkling tutus, just makes my heart soar. I might even get inspired to do a “pink” interpretation of The Nutcracker someday – we could even do a pink sugarplum fairy and have snowflakes made out of sparkling white, feathery boas, complete with pink feathered trims. Just imagine!
Now, let’s take a trip down memory lane, darlings, to my last real trip. Remember that exciting jaunt to New York? A true fashion haven! While I enjoyed exploring the magnificent museums and trendy shopping spots (particularly the vintage clothing boutiques – don't forget to wear your pink tutu for that perfect picture!), nothing beat the thrill of attending the New York Ballet at Lincoln Center. The artistry, the energy, the emotion – truly an exhilarating experience! Plus, you guessed it: loads of lovely, inspiring tutus! I snapped pictures for days. My new New York Tutu collection has several additions from this glorious outing. I really wish I could take a space shuttle, load it up with clothes and pink tutus and deliver them right to everyone's door. It's like a ballet-loving fashion designer’s dream come true.
While the universe has so many incredible, inspiring sights to explore, I do think Earth is a place we all have to love. My little slice of planet Earth, Derbyshire, England, is just so adorable with its charming rolling hills, adorable villages, and – drumroll – lots and lots of adorable little pink cottages, nestled in the rolling countryside! Sometimes you can even spot my friends the sheep wearing little pink coats! Truly, a delightful and whimsical home to find inspiration for my sartorial adventures. Derbyshire’s pretty landscape provides the perfect setting for a peaceful tutu photoshoot! And when the sun shines down and sparkles off all the dew, the whole thing feels like it could be a fairytale!
You see, darling, it’s not just about pink tutus (though, of course, those are my favourite!) My true ambition, is to show everyone just how wonderful the universe is, one fabulous twirl at a time. To spread a bit of love, happiness, and creativity, sprinkled with lots and lots of pink tutus – that is what makes my space-travelling ballerina heart soar! So go forth, darling tutu enthusiasts! Wear your pink tutus with pride, and twirl with joy!
But remember: when you travel through space and across our gorgeous galaxy, never forget the beautiful planet that gave us all the pink tutus to start with, the place we call home!
