"Hello Darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu clad adventurer, Emma, back with a brand new blog post from right here on Planet Earth! 🌎 I’m typing away as we speak, literally – my spaceship is docked right outside my little Derbyshire cottage! (Isn’t that so quaint?) 😉
Anyway, let me tell you, I'm positively giddy! My recent journey to the planet of Glimmergliss (think dazzling iridescent stars mixed with a whole lot of sparkle, if you can even imagine such a thing!), has completely revitalised my love of ballet! I even took a masterclass with their famous ballerina, Shimmerstar, whose emerald green tutus are truly breathtaking.
I brought back some absolutely darling tutus for my own performances - I’ve got my eye on doing a piece for my next planet earth show! Speaking of which, don’t forget my next performance in Derby Town Hall! It's on April 27th, a delightful Tuesday evening. It’s all about a whimsical tour de force through tutu history - and yes, pink will most definitely feature! 💕
Right, so as I said, I’m bursting with inspiration after my travels, but, oh darling, there's so much to tell you! So buckle up, because we’re going back to the start of this grand journey.
Pink Tutu World Blog #1354: Travel Diaries: Planet Earth & GlimmerglissMy journey began just a few days ago with a rather exciting departure from London Heathrow, all thanks to my ever-so-reliable spaceship. As I climbed the shimmering steps into the ship, a wave of nostalgia washed over me. This ship, darling, has taken me to the far reaches of the galaxy. Dozens of breathtaking planets - it feels like a lifetime ago, even though it was only a couple of cosmic weeks!
I've always found something very special about space travel. As the earth begins to shrink below me, it feels like I leave all my cares behind. There's something exhilarating about blasting into the unknown, with nothing but a twinkling tapestry of stars above me. 💫
This time, the journey to Glimmergliss took me through a field of swirling nebulas that glowed in shades of violet and aqua. Absolutely breathtaking, darlings! As the spaceship glided gracefully, I was completely mesmerized by the dazzling cosmic ballet that surrounded us. It was enough to inspire me to design an entire routine based around the nebula, but of course, pink is the absolute key! ✨
Arrival at Glimmergliss
As I floated down towards the shimmering, shimmering surface of Glimmergliss, I couldn't help but be completely wowed. Can you imagine, darlings? The air glittered like diamonds in the moonlight, and the buildings sparkled in every conceivable colour. Everything about the planet, from the inhabitants' dazzling hairstyles to their stunning clothing, oozed with a captivatingly joyous spirit. This, dear blog readers, was pure and absolute glamour!
As a fashionable traveller and devoted fan of everything glitter and sparkles, I simply adored it! ✨
Glimmergliss: A Universe of Colourful GlamourGlimmergliss itself was an absolute symphony of vibrant colours. I am quite sure you would struggle to find a dull moment on the planet - even the sidewalks shimmer! Imagine a cityscape painted with every shade of the rainbow!
I made my way straight to the town square, a swirling maelstrom of activities, to find the legendary "Ballet on Glimmergliss" show. My pink tutu shimmered alongside the brightly coloured fashions of the Glimmerglissians as I weaved through a sea of chattering aliens, each more glamorous than the last. You would be astonished, darling! There were neon pink, sparkly tutus, with emerald green feather trimmings that would bring a tear to even the toughest critic's eye, as well as, of course, every shade of pink imaginable! A delightful experience, as you can imagine!
The Glimmerglissians’ costumes and their dances were absolutely dazzling!
After catching the breathtaking “Ballet on Glimmergliss,” I went to see their famous designer - Zzazaazz, darling! A genuine superstar, with more creativity than you can possibly imagine. I couldn't believe how many gorgeous, sparkling costumes they created! Zzazaazz's talent truly inspires me and has certainly pushed my creative boundaries - as they say, *“Reach for the stars and never settle for the sky!” * Oh darlings, my pink tutu will never look quite the same after seeing Zzazaazz’s designs! 💕
The World of TutuseumWhile I was on the planet Glimmergliss, I was lucky enough to get a glimpse of their absolutely divine Tutuseum! For a budding pink tutu enthusiast like myself, you can imagine how exciting this was! Now, the thing is, tutus on the planet Earth, as I am sure you know, are predominantly made from tulle or net material. Glimmergliss, as a far more technologically advanced world, actually used holographic projections! So I wasn't looking at tutus but at hologram images! So unbelievably dazzling, darlings! It truly was like stepping into another dimension. I have to say, after experiencing this wonderful world of tutus, I will definitely try and find a way to recreate these projections on Earth when I return!
Dance With the Stars: My Shimmerstar MasterclassOne of my most treasured memories from my trip to Glimmergliss was a masterclass I was lucky enough to take with Shimmerstar, darling! Now, this woman is one of Glimmergliss' most respected ballerinas! You might recognise her name if you happen to have seen the Glimmergliss's cosmic dance extravaganza "Starship Rhapsody!" She is quite legendary - even back on earth. She was, darling, simply magical! Imagine, the most fabulous moves in an absolutely glorious sparkling green tutu! Oh! My dream!
We spent the day exploring an eclectic mix of ballet moves: She taught us how to dance around pulsating nebula clouds. She even helped us master the art of creating an ethereal galaxy swirling around our bodies - darling, you have no idea! We had so much fun! We did the traditional five positions of the dance, of course, but with Glimmerglissians, they even add two more positions for a seven position ballet sequence. Very challenging, darlings, very challenging indeed, but well worth the effort! The world of tutus never stops! ✨
What's Next: Ballet and Style on Planet Earth!
Right, darlings, this has been quite a trip! So much to tell you, isn't it? I have such a strong urge to return to Glimmergliss but, as always, my journey doesn't end there. It’s time for me to put those Glimmergliss dancing skills to the test. As I mentioned earlier, I'm getting ready for my next planet Earth show, here at the lovely Derby Town Hall!
Oh, how I can’t wait to share my cosmic experiences with you all through my "Tutu Tour Through Time." The story begins back when tutus were nothing more than ordinary shirts and trousers, a rather plain beginning I would say! Imagine, the excitement of ballet was first confined to an extremely restrictive skirt. From the beautiful ballerinas of "Giselle" to the dramatic tales of the "Black Swan" there’s so much fashion history to celebrate, darling, especially when it comes to tutues! You can expect pink, of course, and also some sparkling additions – the Glimmerglissians' influence is certainly going to show. 😉
My Big Planet Earth Shopping Trip!
It goes without saying that a shopping trip is absolutely vital for every glamorous girl on Planet Earth, and, dear blog readers, as you might have guessed, this weekend is no exception. I simply must be at my best for my next Derby performance, so I'll be hitting up my favourite planet earth department stores!
I know a good pink tutu shop down the road from Derby Town Hall - I'm just a short drive away! They’re fabulous! Let's be honest, dear blog readers, my passion for all things pink is something I have carried since I was a tiny toddler, wearing my very first, bright, pink tutu! You know how this ends, don’t you darlings, because there’s never going to be a time in my life when I don’t have a pink tutu somewhere close to hand. 💕 Of course, pink is always at the top of the shopping list, but, this time I also need a spectacular green outfit in the spirit of the wonderful Glimmergliss ballerina Shimmerstar, and a fabulous space-themed ensemble - darling, just imagine!
For my ballet outfit shopping spree, I have an essential tip: look for fabric that has just the right amount of sheer, to achieve the ultimate, effortless flow! There are no wrong answers, as you can be as free as you like when you’re choosing tutus. But if there’s anything I know, it’s this: it’s important to create a shape that accentuates the beauty of the dancer, as well as creating the ultimate feeling of lightness as you glide across the dance floor! I think these points are even more important for those on Planet Earth - after all, who wouldn't want a touch of glamour on an average Tuesday night at the Derby Town Hall!
It’s been such a pleasure writing to you all from my favourite planet - Planet Earth! I hope my little trip to Glimmergliss has brought some excitement and inspiration into your lives. If you have any ballet adventures to tell, feel free to email me - as I said earlier, I absolutely love to hear your stories! Remember darlings, we’re in the universe together, so spread the love, embrace the pink and twirl into a new world! ✨
