Hello darlings! It's Emma, your friendly neighbourhood pink tutu wearing intergalactic explorer, and guess what? I'm back on Planet Earth! Well, technically it's only a stop-off point before I zip off to the Andromeda Galaxy next week, but it’s so good to be home – for now!
I’ve just landed on January 31st (2024 if you’re on Earth-time) and I am absolutely buzzing with excitement. This trip is extra special – not only is this my favourite month to be back on Earth (February – Valentine's Day!), but today is a BIG day! There's a magical event happening right here in the heart of London, which makes it even more perfect that I’m on Earth. So, strap in for the Pink Tutu rundown – today's adventure awaits!
Tutu Time Travels: Back to Earth 🌎You wouldn’t believe how much I love my intergalactic adventures! Spaceships, aliens, exotic planets… It's all SO much fun. I've met the coolest alien dancers on Jupiter, had a tutuing good time with the super-fabulous fashionistas of Saturn's rings, and even taken ballet class with some incredible lunar creatures!
But honestly, sometimes you just need to be home. To be surrounded by Earth’s charm and all the special people, places, and moments it offers. To see the stars on a clear night, the shimmering lights of a city at dusk, the energy of a vibrant ballet performance… It all fills me with that warm, fuzzy, “This is why I love being on Earth!” feeling.
The best part of returning? Getting back into my regular planet-hopping schedule of ballet classes. Honestly, my daily routine of barre, centre work, and all that beautiful plié-ing never gets old! And let’s not forget, keeping up with my fitness is crucial if I want to stay fit and fabulous for all my galactic twirling! It’s all about keeping those legs strong and those twirls perfectly pointed for all the cosmic shows I do. It's also a fantastic way to de-stress after weeks on my travels – nothing beats moving to the music and getting swept away by the grace of it all.
From Ballet Class to Ballet Blitz: Tonight's Big ShowOh my goodness, you will not believe what’s happening today! The Royal Ballet is performing ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ at the Royal Opera House and, as a total ballerholic, there’s no way I’d miss it!
You know, ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ is SO important to me, darlings. It's not just an iconic ballet masterpiece – it's a classic story of love, kindness, and that beautiful struggle to find your true self, all set against the most enchanting score you’ve ever heard. And you know, I’m kind of a sucker for happy endings, just saying!
Speaking of ‘The Sleeping Beauty,’ I can't get enough of this show! Tchaikovsky's music is utterly magical, it just makes you want to leap, spin and dance. And speaking of dance… Oh, the costuming! The tutus are just gorgeous! So detailed, so lavish! Imagine my joy, being able to go and see these amazing performances right here on Earth, with a gorgeous pink tutu myself. sigh Life is a ballet, and today it's going to be a full-on pink-tutu-fuelled dance!
The Art of a Pink Tutu 🩰As we get ready for this fantastic evening at the theatre, let's have a little tutu chat. You see, this wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu World blog post if we didn’t talk tutus, would it? Because frankly, for me, tutus are everything!
Tutues are SO much more than just a piece of clothing – they’re a symbol of beauty, strength, and expression. They can be extravagant and intricate, delicate and airy, or simple and streamlined. They allow you to spin, leap, and soar. They express who you are, how you move, what you feel.
You see, tutus come in all shapes and sizes – short and puffy, long and billowy, classic or contemporary. And each one tells a story. Like today’s Sleeping Beauty, a classic Romantic tutu, with its layered, flouncy layers and dramatic effect!
Oh, I could talk tutus all day! And of course, we have to mention pink tutus! Honestly, when I think of a perfect tutu, it has to be pink. There's nothing quite as iconic and vibrant, especially when you're aiming to bring the power of pink to the universe!
Pink Tutu Adventures - The Universe is My StageAfter all these travels, it’s always wonderful to reconnect with my passion – the heart and soul of Pink Tutu World. It’s about spreading the joy of tutus and dance wherever I go. Honestly, it's all about inspiring everyone to feel like they can be the dancer they dream of being! And hey, if you need any help in the ‘how to wear a tutu with style’ department – you know where to find me!
I’ll be posting lots of pictures from the show later this week, but for now, my lovely Pink Tutu Worldlings – stay fabulous! Dance on!
Don’t forget to keep checking in with www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday! Because who knows where Pink Tutu World will travel to next? Maybe Mars? Maybe Uranus? 😜 It’s a whole universe out there – and it's all waiting to be explored! Until next Wednesday… twirl on, and be fabulous!

Shopping at Harrods: Pink-tastic Fashion FrenzyI can’t possibly come back to Earth without paying a visit to Harrods! Honestly, who could resist the beautiful displays, the incredible fashion, and that intoxicating air of London chic?
It’s my go-to place for inspiration and fabulous outfits, which always help fuel my ballet shows and planet-hopping shenanigans. I swear, there’s just a certain je ne sais quoi about Harrods, and it really rubs off on my wardrobe! It's a magical land of exquisite things, beautiful accessories, and all things sparkly. And let's face it - what is a pink tutu without a sprinkle of fabulous?
Today’s Harrods visit was a delight! I treated myself to a new pair of fuchsia ballet shoes – they’re gorgeous – a perfect complement to a hot pink velvet tutu I spotted, a total must-have! Of course, my obsession with the colour pink makes finding new outfits at Harrods easy – you wouldn’t believe the pink tulle selection they have, darling.
For the ballerina at heart, a little Harrods shopping always makes the world seem a little bit more magical.
The Magic of Ballet on EarthThere’s truly something about returning to the heart of Planet Earth that recharges me! Seeing how people gather for incredible experiences like tonight’s Royal Ballet performance, or wandering through Harrods and finding treasures that reflect that wonderful “you only live once” feeling – it’s incredible. This feeling? I just want to bottle it up and take it with me on my space voyages!
This week, though, it’s Earth time – time for some fantastic food, time to connect with my friends, and, of course, time for more dancing! Honestly, if you haven’t seen ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ before, it’s a must. There are no better seats than the ones in the Royal Opera House, with a perfect view of all the action. It's like the whole universe pauses to witness the sheer wonder of ballet!
But you know, darling, even if you can't get tickets to a show, remember, there’s a ballet out there for every one of you, waiting to be found!
From my favorite pink tutu loving heart to yours – go forth and find your magic, darling! I’m heading to see the show now! ✨
Stay fabulous,
Emma Xx 💖🩰✨
After the Show: Pink Tutu DreamsOh my darling Pink Tutu Worldlings, you will NOT believe what I just witnessed! Tonight’s show was phenomenal! It really was! It was absolutely breathtaking, even more spectacular than I imagined it to be.
From the minute those velvety curtains rose, I was transported – swept away on a wave of beautiful dancing, mesmerising music, and the dazzling beauty of the costumes. And the ballerinas… Oh my gosh, those dancers were simply exquisite! Such grace, such strength, such precision – it was heavenly. They floated like whispers of smoke, danced like dreams, and their moves were just... captivating. Every plié, every pirouette, every jump… it all felt so utterly natural, and full of expression!
But for me, the most special thing about ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ is how much it encapsulates the magical beauty of childhood dreams! There’s so much magic in that beautiful story, and in the way the ballet reimagines it, you simply can’t help but get caught up in the wonder! It's about believing in dreams, in fairy tales, and finding your own true self - even with a little help from a few good fairies! The set, the costuming, the acting, the music - they all coalesce to deliver a true sensory feast.
The After-Show GlowI swear, after the curtain falls and the lights come up, that feeling just lingers in the air – that beautiful sensation of being surrounded by something truly extraordinary, and witnessing something beyond comparison. And I truly believe the pink tutu world has a little bit of magic inside too – it’s about that joy, that enthusiasm, that sense of joy, all brought to life in the world of dance, tutus and sparkle!
Even now, as I write these words, the music still dances in my head, and I can still see those beautiful tutus shimmering under the spotlight – all in a perfect whirl of tulle and graceful moves.
If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past year or so of intergalactic travels – it's that magic and wonder are alive and well, not only here on Earth, but in the deepest corners of the cosmos. So next time you have the chance to see a live ballet performance, go! It’s an experience that truly enriches the soul – you'll thank me for it later, darlings.
It’s late, and I'm tired out after a whole day of ballet bliss and pink-tutu fun, so I'm going to wrap this blog up and get some much needed rest. But I'll leave you with a little pink tutu thought: remember, you can be whoever you want to be, wear whatever you want to wear, and find magic in your own way.
Go forth and twinkle! ✨ Until next time, darlings…
Love,
Emma Xx 💖🩰✨
