Hey my little pink tutu princesses! It's your favourite galactic ballerina, Emma, back with another sparkly post from planet Earth! This week, I'm practically bouncing off the walls with excitement - why? Well, let me tell you⦠Itās time for Ballet on Planet Earth!
This past week, I've been dancing up a storm in Derbyshire, England, my little corner of the world. (I mean, this world, the Earth, right?! It's so wonderful to be home⦠even though I canāt stay put for too long. Thereās a whole universe out there to explore!)
Speaking of exploration, itās Wednesday, 21st of January, 2026, and you know what that means! Itās pink tutu blog day! So get comfy in your tutus, grab a cuppa, and settle in for another fab post! This time, Iāll be sharing my Earth adventures, plus youāll be in for a treat because Iāve got some extra exciting news coming your way! (Oh, did I tell you, I've been doing a bit of intergalactic travel? That's a story for another time.)
So, what has my little Earth-bound self been up to this week? Letās just say, itās been a whirl of colour, fabulousness, and⦠ballet, of course!
Dancing at the Derby Theatre!
Iāve had the pleasure of attending the fabulous "Swan Lake" at the Derby Theatre! What a magnificent performance! As always, itās incredible to watch talented dancers transform on stage. I love to get lost in the stories they tell.
While Swan Lake may be a bit old hat for some, for me, a bit of ballet tradition never goes amiss! It always helps to remind me of why ballet is so important, and why the iconic costumes are as enduring as they are! The graceful swans and their captivating tutus⦠chefās kiss⦠And talking about iconic costumes, I did pick up the most divine vintage ballerina costume at the Theatreās charming little shop! Let me tell you, the craftsmanship is exquisite! It was worth every penny and definitely has a place in my pink tutu wardrobe! (Whatās a wardrobe without some vintage magic, right?)
After the show, I just had to pop over to a little independent tea shop called The Tea Cosy ā it was so cosy! Iāve been working hard on those pirouettes and I need my fuel! A cup of lavender tea, scones, and a good book (yes, I like to mix up ballet with literature sometimes! Iām a bit of a Renaissance girl, what can I say!) always makes for a fantastic afternoon!
The Pink Tutu Runway - Runway in Pink? š
Speaking of the pink tutu wardrobe, it wouldnāt be a Pink Tutu blog without some fashion talk, would it? I spent a fab morning at the Derbyshire Shopping Centre, and⦠OMG, you guys! The shops were overflowing with so much pink! (What a pleasant surprise!) This is definitely a sign that the world is moving towards embracing all things pink, one sparkly tutu at a time, hehe!
Itās no secret that pink is my favourite colour, and this year, itās clear that fashion is fully on board with that! From pink velvet evening gowns to neon pink leggings⦠you can truly make a statement!
For the fashionistas out there, I was especially captivated by a pair of shimmering pink ballerina flats! Not only are they perfect for a spot of impromptu pirouette practice, but they're just SO darn pretty! I had to grab them⦠and yes, I did, I already wore them with a new fuchsia tulle skirt for a walk around the park ā gorgeous!
This leads me to the reason why I had to jet over to planet Earth ā Iām getting some inspiration for my next intergalactic fashion show! Thatās right, my darlings, you can expect to see me sashay across the galaxy, adorned in all things pink, to get people feeling good about fashion!
Now, tell me, what would you want to see on a pink tutu runway show? Maybe a cosmically pink ensemble with holographic tutus? How about a swirling ballet sequence? Tell me everything youāve got, as Iām always open to creative suggestions. Donāt hold back!
A Universe of Tutues: Pink Power and Tutu Inspiration!
The love for ballet and tutus, however, goes far beyond Planet Earth! Do you know what else is fabulous? That Iāve just got a brand new spaceship⦠which means there's a universe of exciting adventures awaiting! My travels recently have taken me to many an awe-inspiring ballet performance in distant corners of the cosmos.
Last week, I got the chance to check out a street ballet show on the moon of Titan! That performance involved ballerinas gliding through swirling rings of smoke⦠all under the gaze of Saturn! Absolutely incredible! Imagine the grandeur of the universe! A universe that is ready to be adorned in pink, and you guys! Thatās why I'm so excited to bring my Pink Tutu revolution to other worlds. I truly believe the time has come!
Can you believe it? Pink tutu power is infiltrating the entire universe, one graceful leap at a time!
Of course, my journeys arenāt just about fashion - they're about bringing a bit of joy to every corner of the universe. From the shimmering streets of Neptune to the celestial valleys of Mars, Iām spreading the gospel of pink tutus and encouraging everyone to express themselves! What could be better? (Let's just say, the world is truly my oyster, my lovelies⦠even if it isn't really my oyster, but a dazzling and infinite expanse of cosmic possibilities! But who doesn't love a good metaphorical analogy, eh?! š )
But for now, itās back to Earth. Itās great to catch up with the people back home, enjoy the atmosphere of the little villages in the English countryside⦠and, of course, I had to indulge in a proper full English breakfast to help me kick-start my day! Thatās a very, very Earth-ly experience for you, hee-hee.
More Ballet News: What's happening on planet Earth⦠and in space!
While I was indulging in my terrestrial pursuits, I heard the amazing news that the Royal Ballet in London is launching a new production! Imagine⦠Romeo and Juliet in a dazzling, never-before-seen modern style with incredible choreographies and vibrant tutus! It's an incredible chance to reinterpret classics in such a stylish way! You just have to love that modern ballet twist⦠right? It's ballet with a modern twist!
I also hear that a group of young dancers on Saturnās rings are trying to recreate some of the great ballet classics - from āSwan Lakeā to āThe Nutcracker.ā How fantastic! It just proves that the love for ballet knows no bounds, whether youāre a seasoned pro or just beginning your pirouette journey!
As for the pink tutu inspiration ā let me tell you ā the entire universe seems to be going crazy for pink! In my recent trip to Andromeda Galaxy, they were wearing an abundance of bright pink tutus! My work here is definitely done⦠and done well, darling! The pink tutu has truly conquered the cosmos, my loves! š
