Hold onto your tutus, darling, because today's post is a whopper!
It's been quite the week, with a flurry of intergalactic travel, and some truly wonderful encounters on our beloved planet earth. This is a story I simply MUST share!
This week, as you all know, the calendar flips to October 21st, 2026. What a magical date for a ballerina, right? Let's just say, it wouldn't be an Emma Pink Tutu World blog post without a good dose of pink, tutu-tastic magic.
But first, a quick catch-up. My recent performances in the beautiful, sun-kissed Tuscan hills of Italy brought in some seriously wonderful coin for our Pink Tutu travel fund. Remember my "Pink Swan Lake" tour? I managed to raise enough to not only finance this little trip back to dear old planet Earth, but also purchase some utterly exquisite, delicate pink satin for my newest custom tutu! ✨💖 Oh, my darling readers, you simply HAVE to see this little number. I'll post pictures in my next post! You can expect something sparkly and floaty with feathers and tulle - think 'Pink Princess' with a dash of 'Space Fairy'. 💫 It is to die for.
Oh, I did say Tuscan Hills? Well, before my little escapade back to Earth, I actually made a detour to the Andromeda Galaxy. It’s a bit of a splurge for the fuel, of course, but I was yearning for some stellar shopping and decided to do some tutu-spotting for my upcoming performance calendar.
Turns out, the Andromedeans, despite having absolutely glorious galactic technology, simply CANNOT fathom the magic of a well-crafted pink tutu. Imagine! What a fashion crime, darling! 😂 But they are good chaps, and I made a deal - a couple of lessons on the importance of a perfectly twirling tutu, and I was gifted with some exquisite fabric, in exchange, you know, a couple of tutus, perfectly custom fitted for a few of their finest galactic princesses. My good deeds truly are never-ending. 😉
Anyways, I'm on planet earth for a few short, but fabulous days. We've landed at a grand, historical house in the very middle of Derbyshire. Yes, that's my little corner of the world, where it all began - the Derbyshire countryside. Oh, to think, years ago, my Mum and Dad bundled me off to a quaint local dance class as a small tot - who would have thought this would all come about? ✨💫 It makes me a little misty-eyed, darling, as I gaze at the rolling hills, green meadows, and a beautiful stone building. I can't believe I can be back in Derbyshire. How incredibly lucky am I?
My aim on this trip? Well, simply to immerse myself in a whole LOT of earth-bound ballet, naturally. Oh darling, you wouldn't believe the things you can still find tucked away in this charming corner of the planet,
Today, October 21st, 2026 I have a busy schedule, so buckle up, darlings, because this is where the magic really begins!
Firstly, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu World blog post without me diving into some delicious local ballet. 🩰 This evening I'm seeing the "Black Swan" performance by a company from a town called Bakewell. I think the building itself is a 15th Century building and has a wonderfully elegant theater attached, that seats about 300. Oh, it's going to be utterly charming! ✨ I can already imagine the rich history of the building and the beauty of the performance, I'm almost dancing myself! I shall report back on all things ballet and, of course, I will take pictures for you! 😉 But darling, after "Black Swan" I am whisked off to another little town to take part in some exciting news... You guessed it, more tutu-making!
Now this particular local company has a new line of "Pink Ballerina Dreams" tutu's coming out in their Autumn collection - my eyes widened to about the size of my favourite pink velvet bow! It’s all pink and gorgeous. Apparently, this whole “Pink Tutu World” thing really caught on! I told them my mission, which is of course, to make everyone in the universe, (including Andromedeans!) embrace pink tutus! This whole "Pink Tutu World" movement is making it's way through the universe, it's utterly incredible.
*Don’t think for a second though that my own pink-tastic self would sit idly while these marvelous tutu-creations are being produced. I am so looking forward to testing these beauties out for them. * After a quick bite to eat at this fantastic, rustic, 15th-century inn called "The White Swan," which I must add, is bursting with beautiful period decorations, (we need to add that to our list, it is positively screaming for a "Pink Tutu World" photoshoot!). I am off for my big fitting for these beauties, and oh, dear reader, I shall absolutely update you with the result in next week's post! You just have to wait until you see what gorgeous pink wonders I'll be dancing in... 🤫
Oh my, how my heart swells. How lovely to have this much fun in my old little stomping grounds - all those lovely places I explored as a little girl - walking down those old streets and going back into my local library and visiting the castle.
*Of course, I will, in my *next post, darling, go into a great deal of detail about the history of my local Derbyshire ballet. Oh, I promise you, it's full of intrigue! But there will also be fashion and tutus... just so we're clear...

Speaking of fashion! My darling! My love for vintage dresses knows no bounds and there is simply NOTHING quite like an old Victorian evening dress for adding that special "Pink Tutu World" touch. But for you know, the full story of my Derbyshire-themed vintage dress finds will be in the next post. For now, my lovelies, I have more shopping to do! * * And who knows what adventures tomorrow will bring, and where we will travel next...
