Hello my gorgeous little darlings, and welcome to another edition of Pink Tutu World! I'm Emma, your intergalactic fashionista, straight from Derbyshire, England (yes, even we have spaceports now!) Ready for a fabulous week, full of glitz, glam, and of course, pink tutus?!
Ballet on Planet Earth, 2026-10-14!
You won’t believe what an incredible day today is - the Ballet on Planet Earth gala! It’s absolutely the event of the year (no, DECADE!) in the galaxy and I'm lucky enough to be front and centre in a celestial seat at the Royal Opera House (you know, the one on earth that was rebuilt in 1858 - history!), where they’ve got the most amazing, holographic stage sets. It's going to be epic.
I woke up this morning in my super cute pink sequined onesie, grabbed my favourite galaxy glitter tea and watched the sun rise. I had a vision! So I grabbed my new ‘Rainbow-Galactic Sparkle’ fabric, put my sewing machine to work and I'm feeling the tutus will really shine today! Now you know I'm a gal who always looks the part, and today's look is a pink sequin dream! Let's face it, a pink tutu is the fashion statement for every intergalactic event!
I know some people think pink tutus are just for ballet dancers. They think the tutus have to be for shows on the stages of theaters. But I say it’s for EVERYONE, for every place! I love to show people that it's for anything! Life's too short not to show it off and dance it out in your tutu! And for you fashion-loving starlings, trust me, this tutu is EVERYTHING - just look at the intricate stitching and sequins that shimmer under the black light. It’s the ultimate interstellar chic, darlings! But, you know what else I love about a good pink tutu? The stories! Each tutu has its own tale. From the ballerinas in the French courts of the 1700s (who probably did not wear pink - but should have!) to the ballet legend Margot Fonteyn, every dancer’s tutu has something amazing and fabulous to say.
And I just know I am going to make so many fabulous new memories on Planet Earth, especially with these gorgeous pink tutus! But back to Planet Earth, there's no place better than the Royal Opera House - it’s just magic, like the whole place was designed by fairies and sprinkled with pixie dust. Every time I step through those doors, I can feel all the stories of the greats, from Nijinsky to Pavlova - a beautiful energy fills the entire theatre - like it’s bursting with excitement. It's hard to believe this theatre has hosted ballet, opera, plays, and all the incredible arts, since 1858, right in the heart of London.
But the best part of a big night like tonight is being on stage, even just for a short time. There’s nothing like the feeling of the crowd's cheers - it's truly magical - a feeling that fills you from head to toe, like every cell in your body is bursting with excitement. And with all the space tourists here to experience a night on Earth and the performance from our talented, local ballet company - we're sure to have a fabulous night.
Don’t even get me started on the fashion - I’ve got eyes on some gorgeous gowns, and a whole new collection of glitter for the Pink Tutu store. I think I'm ready to unleash some fashion chaos, a Pink Tutu Revolution, even!
