Pink Tutu World: Ballet on Planet Earth! #1730

Hello gorgeous lovelies! It’s Emma here, ready to whisk you away on a whirlwind tour of Planet Earth - where the pinkest tutus bloom! It's Wednesday, so you know what that means! It's time to grab your teacup and a biscuit, settle down, and let's dive into this week's adventure. This week I’m actually on Earth - can you believe it?!

I know, I know, it's hard to imagine someone who spends most of their time flitting through galaxies actually being back on good ol' Earth. But for the next few days, I'm taking a break from spaceship voyages and exploring our humble little home. Why? Because June the 21st, my lovelies, is International Tutu Day! Now, don't get me wrong, I don't need a special day to wear a pink tutu (let's be honest, every day is Tutu Day in my world!) but it's a fabulous excuse to celebrate all things tutus, all things dance, and of course, the absolutely delightful, utterly divine, pinky-hued creations that make my heart sing!

Speaking of singing hearts, I'm swooning at the moment - I've just been shopping! I've got a whole new selection of tutus just in - some sparkly, some feather-light, some oh-so-fluffy - just perfect for all you beautiful souls who want to bring a touch of Pink Tutu World to your lives! They’re arriving in the mail at www.pink-tutu.com just as you read this! You have to grab yours now – just like the latest trends in the Intergalactic Fashion Show last week! Don’t be left out!

Of course, a celebration of Tutu Day wouldn't be complete without a proper ballet performance. I've been keeping an eye on the calendar, and you guys will be thrilled to hear that this week on June the 21st, The Royal Ballet is performing Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House in London. Oh, how I love those iconic swans, the haunting music, and the graceful leaps that make me gasp for air! Swan Lake is just magical! There's something about classical ballet that is just breathtaking and there’s nothing quite like watching these talented dancers. I just wish Swan Lake came with an Intergalactic Food and Drink Shuttle to pick up a tutu-clad moi.

But it’s not just The Royal Ballet in London that has my heart aflutter this week, oh no, I’ve found some other really special performances happening around Planet Earth! You can check out my latest ā€˜must-see’ shows on my blog.

One that really took my fancy is the new production of The Nutcracker by the Northern Ballet. You're probably familiar with The Nutcracker already, right? It’s just the best. The Northern Ballet puts on some absolutely amazing shows that combine breathtaking choreography with absolutely incredible costume design – they make some of the best, the most creative, tutus ever!

There’s also the Birmingham Royal Ballet , a favourite of mine. They’re performing a new Romeo and Juliet, which, for all the Shakespeare fans in the room, is another masterpiece you must see if you get a chance! It will blow your socks off – but keep your shoes on! There’s nothing more lovely, on Planet Earth or beyond, than being wrapped up in the emotions that these types of performances bring! The beautiful dancers, the poignant story and, of course, all those beautiful tutus. Sigh… just thinking about it brings a lump to my throat!

But let’s keep it fun, lovelies! We all know Romeo and Juliet isn’t a light, frivolous show, although you can be sure you'll be dancing in your seat before the evening is out. That reminds me – I think a tutu and a trip to the theater would be absolutely perfect right about now. What could be more magical than seeing a dazzling performance and feeling like you’re floating amongst the stars in a cloud of soft pink tulle?! I can practically hear the orchestra now. And all the ā€œoohsā€ and ā€œahsā€ as the dancers leap across the stage, looking utterly fantastic in their perfect tutus!

If you’re heading to London on this beautiful day, take a wander down to Covent Garden, one of my favourite spots on Planet Earth! Covent Garden is always bursting with street performers, buskers, artists, and you never know who you’re going to see there. I can guarantee that there'll be at least a couple of tutus twirling on the street too! If you don't spot one of my tutus I will have a huge surprise for you. That’s right. You are looking at a huge, pink-tutu-loving-goddess who will be cruising the streets and spotting my very own tutus! How incredible! I will take the absolute most breathtaking Tutu Selfie on my phone - oh, wait! I must use my intergalactic photo app that makes you sparkle and shimmer as soon as you capture the perfect tutu image, it’s so much fun to use!

My mission to turn Planet Earth into a pink tutu haven hasn’t gone unnoticed. There’s been some truly fascinating coverage of my exploits in the media on Planet Earth this week! Apparently, my latest venture – the Intergalactic Pink Tutu Design Academy - is all over the newspapers.

This wonderful, amazing, new academy was started by none other than, * moi, *Emma. Yes, the same little ballerina from Derbyshire. Don’t you wish you had been born here? (The town, not me, but feel free to drop by for tea - bring pink! ) I don't know what it’s all about but a journalist told me it has an objective - I suppose a big one for some folks. But for a tutu girl like me , it’s more about bringing more happiness and positivity into our beautiful world. And if more pink tutus makes a few folks a bit happier well, you know the rest!

Let's face it, in a world where sometimes things seem a bit dark, a pink tutu can bring a smile to the faces of the young, and even those young-at-heart! A tutu has always been a little magical, a little like an enchantment, right? I hope, one day, tutus will be universally adored, the ultimate symbol of peace, kindness, love and - Pink Tutuwonder. That’s it. The world should have pink tutuwonder. A bit of a lofty goal - but I’m so ready to bring all my skills - dance, intergalactic travel and most importantly pink tutus – *to Planet Earth! *

You know what I really love about all of this? The way everyone embraces pink tutus with so much enthusiasm! Seeing people embrace my vision is magic. If that ā€˜International Tutu Day’ turns out to be one day out of 365 days when the world celebrates this little magical item of clothing, then you're darned right, we’re on the way!

I just know I've made the most lovely new friends during my last adventure on Planet Earth. There’s a guy called John, a really kind guy, with whom I share a passion for tutus - but we call them ā€˜ballet slippers’. John works with the amazing guys at the Royal Ballet – they are my heroes you guys! And the absolute most incredible ballet dancers! But hey - that’s me - an avid fan of anything involving tutus and dance.

But before we say our goodbyes I have one last announcement - my next intergalactic show is on July 23rd, where I’ll be doing a big ballet dance performance on Saturn, yes Saturn! With a huge chorus of aliens - dancing all those graceful ballet moves and, of course, wearing a pink tutu. They don't call it Pink Tutu World for nothing!

Let's meet on the internet every Wednesday - if you love ballet, love fashion and love tutus (especially pink tutus), join the movement at www.pink-tutu.com - we have amazing competitions going on all the time with special, exclusive, Pink Tutu gifts that are only available at www.pink-tutu.com. It's gonna be so much fun and so so much Pink Tutu Love.

Big Pink Tutu Love to all my fellow pink tutu-wearers, *Emma, *Planet Earth and Beyond. **
