Hiya lovelies,
Welcome back to Pink Tutu World! It’s Wednesday, so you know what that means… another installment of your favourite interstellar fashion and ballet extravaganza! This week I’m bouncing back from a whirlwind trip to Andromeda Galaxy. You wouldn't believe the fab tutus they wear there - it's all about the holographic sparkle, darlings! But even with my head in the galactic clouds, I still make time for the beautiful art form that fuels my passion. So grab your popcorn, pour yourselves a glass of something bubbly, and let's get on with this week’s ballet-tastic journey.
This week we're all about PLANET EARTH! 🌎 Yep, you heard right, this pink tutu-loving blogger is back on the home turf. Now, you might be thinking, "Emma, what's so special about planet Earth?" Well, my lovelies, it’s a balletic dream come true.
The Earth is bursting at the seams with exquisite ballet shows, dance companies, theatres, and talented performers. You wouldn't believe the divine outfits, costumes, and tu-tu-licious fashion finds here. They're simply divine. Speaking of divine, the 25th of July, 2029, just happens to be the most glorious date in planet Earth’s ballet calendar, the grand finale of the London’s Royal Ballet's annual Summer Spectacular! I had to be here for this. Can you even imagine?! This isn't just any show, it’s a breathtaking amalgamation of all things ballet. They are performing a full evening programme showcasing classic works like Swan Lake alongside the latest in modern dance choreography. It’s enough to make any ballet fanatic lose their mind! And honestly, it almost did… mine did, anyway! The show was spectacularly good! I don’t know where to begin. You simply had to be there to experience it all… the costumes, the movement, the passion!
I felt myself floating in a cloud of shimmering tulle just watching the graceful dancers soar through the air, Their talent was simply out of this world! I, of course, was positively bursting in my vibrant pink tutu that made the most spectacular clash with the gorgeous royal blue and emerald of the London Royal Ballet’s stage set. It was simply fab, and my pictures are to die for, by the way. Check out my Instagram stories, darling!
So here is where my journey began, as I had to fly across planet Earth in a swish, glamorous, rocket powered spaceship to catch the London Royal Ballet's extravaganza. If you thought space travel is all about sleek lines, you'd be wrong! I arrived in style, on a bright pink rocket named ‘Sparkly Stardust’. Talk about a showstopper! She's the fastest in the galaxy, even surpassing my dear friend Lord Nebula, the owner of ‘Nebula’s Nibblers’. I had to say a special thanks to Lord Nebula, a delightful fellow and the master of delicious galactic candy floss and chocolate nebulae. It took me 24 minutes, I’ll just pop that in there, as every fashionable woman likes to know these sorts of things about her travels. It takes almost an hour for those pesky interplanetary express rockets, and we don’t do slow on planet Pink Tutu. Anyway, where was I? I landed in a little corner of Earth called ‘Derbyshire’ (apparently that's where the Earth ballet scene is alive and thriving). I landed safely in a spaceship docking bay… I do adore these bays. It always feels like I’ve arrived at a space-age party with a red carpet and a glamorous DJ… oh how I’d love to visit a dance floor like that! I know what to wear, but that's another story! The world can wait, there’s no better time than a space ballet. It’s time to show them all what the art form can be on Planet Pink Tutu, you’ve been warned!
As I landed, I headed straight to a darling little tea shop to re-energize before heading off to the theatre. It’s all about pre-show ritual, darling. You wouldn't believe the array of cute pink-hued teacups, delicate little biscuits, and yummy finger sandwiches that were on offer! It was absolutely divine.
Once I’d fuelled my love for all things pink and delicious, I slipped into my most spectacular sparkly pink tutu. Why pink you might ask? Why, the colour represents hope, fun and a zest for life. All things that represent the joy I want to share through the language of dance.
As I sashayed into the London Royal Ballet theatre, it felt like the whole world stopped, watching as my glorious pink tutu swirled. You simply cannot beat the feeling of a tulle-clad journey on Planet Earth, can you? After a magnificent evening, full of breathtaking talent and inspiring artistry, the experience was almost spiritual.
To bring this incredible adventure to a beautiful end, I, of course, had to partake in post-show shopping - a Pink Tutu World staple. This planet is chock-full of fabulous shops filled with gorgeous ballet shoes and dazzling outfits that you simply can't leave without. After spending hours in a little shop, my arms were overflowing with more tulle and shimmer than my ship could hold… don't worry I know some brilliant people on the planet Earth and I sent all those beautiful new dance shoes back to them via my amazing shipping contact! Planet Earth never lets me down when it comes to fabulous shops, my fellow pink tutu-lovers, this is definitely a planet to add to your itinerary. The dance scene here is quite tu-tu-licious!
The shopping alone could have been the entire blog, and maybe it will be, another week, but now you need to be back with us to see what else this week has for Planet Pink Tutu. I always give you a full rundown and it was hard to condense this ballet-tastic week!
Next week we’ll be visiting the ‘City of Lights,’ or should I say, the ‘City of Sparkle’. We're going to Paris! The iconic Parisian ballet is as sophisticated and glamorous as they come, I can't wait. Make sure you're online next Wednesday at www.pink-tutu.com at the usual time.
But for now, don’t forget to live your best Pink Tutu life. Every single one of you. If there’s one thing this fabulous trip has shown me it's this. Dance like nobody's watching and embrace all things pink, and darling, that’s exactly what I'm doing!
Remember to share all your dance and fashion finds and thoughts with me on Instagram and Tik Tok – you've all got amazing taste so keep it coming, darlings!
Signing off…
Your Pink Tutu Queen, Emma!
