Hello my darling Tutu Twirlers!
Itās Emma here, and today's adventure has got me seriously excited! I'm in London! That's right, this pink tutu-loving ballerina landed in the capital this morning, and my weekend plans are full of London sparkle, ballet brilliance, and ā of course! ā shopping galore.
I always travel by train to London. There's something so magical about watching the scenery blur past the window, listening to the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels on the track, and dreaming up all the fabulousness that awaits me in the city. It's like a little ballet in itself!
Today, I'm heading to a West End Show! This time, itās a revival of āOklahoma!,ā and I canāt wait for those classic country-style dances, the stunning costumes, and of course, the chance to soak up that incredible atmosphere. Honestly, there's something so special about experiencing a show on London's West End. The energy, the excitement, itās electrifying!
But before the show, Iāve got a mission, a pink tutu-inspired quest! It's Friday, you see, and that means a new post for the www.pink-tutu.com website. This time, I'm venturing to the world-famous Liberty department store in the heart of London. Liberty is a fairytale of a store, you know? A gorgeous architectural masterpiece brimming with independent designers, stunning fabrics, and truly unique clothes. You could easily spend hours there, getting lost in the colours, textures, and the gorgeous perfumes they have on offer. Today, my mission is to find a pink-tutu inspired outfit, something that channels my love for the vibrant colour and tutu chic!
Then, it's off to a quick rehearsal for a charity ballet performance happening next week. Ballet has a way of keeping my energy up, even when I'm exploring a city like London. And itās so much fun!
Tomorrow morning, before heading back to Derbyshire, Iām taking a ballet class in a beautiful studio in Covent Garden. The sound of a pianist warming up before class, the feeling of the wooden floor beneath my feet⦠It's almost impossible not to smile when Iām surrounded by other dance-lovers. I think there are some fantastic street performers there as well! Covent Garden is always a vibrant place.
Of course, no trip to London would be complete without afternoon tea! It's such a classic British experience, and I've chosen the most darling little cafe near the British Museum for a truly whimsical treat. Imagine pink finger sandwiches, little dainty scones with jam and cream, and beautiful porcelain teacups. Honestly, what could be better? (Well, maybe a bit more pink in my surroundings⦠š )
I'll share more pictures and details from my trip, including a review of āOklahoma!ā, in the next post. And remember my darling Tutu Twirlers, never forget the magic that lives inside you! Even if youāre not wearing a pink tutu, a little sparkle goes a long way, in London, and everywhere else. š
