Hello, my gorgeous darlings! It's Emma here, ready to twirl into another Friday filled with adventures in London!
Train Time!
This week's trip started with a dash to the station in Derbyshire. My darling little town of Matlock Bath is absolutely bursting with beauty, but you know me, my heart always gets a little fluttery when I'm heading to the capital. The train ride was a delight, a whole carriage of people staring in admiration at my new blush-pink tutu with silver sparkles (did I mention I got it in a sale?).
London Calling!
Stepping out of Euston Station felt like a fairytale, especially with the London Eye towering over the city, looking like a giant, shimmering lollipop! The sunshine was perfect for my pink polka dot dress, and a quick stop at the local market gave me a little bit of that lovely London street vibe.
Royal Theatre Delights
My mission, dear friends, was to soak up every inch of culture London had to offer. And what could be more fabulous than catching a matinee performance at the Royal Opera House? It was The Nutcracker! Oh my, the dancing was exquisite, the costumes breathtaking, and I swear I could hear the sound of my own pink tutu applauding as the curtain came down.
Afternoon Tea in Mayfair
The perfect post-theatre treat had to be afternoon tea! We headed to a charming little tearoom in Mayfair – the china was exquisite, the sandwiches divine, and the scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were beyond delicious. I do love a bit of a fancy occasion, especially when you can enjoy it wearing a fluffy pink tutu.
Pink Perfection in Covent Garden
A walk through Covent Garden is always a must! The colourful flower market was vibrant and fragrant, and I simply couldn't resist picking up a gorgeous bouquet of pink roses (they're just so me!). It was time for some serious shopping, and I had a pink dream at a lovely little boutique that had everything my sartorial soul desired. It was a true celebration of colour and elegance.
Dinner with a View
No visit to London is complete without a breathtaking view, and this week it was a magical evening at a restaurant perched high above the city. The skyline was stunning, lit up with twinkling lights like a million tiny stars, and I had a view of the London Eye just as the sun was setting. And, you know me, my pink champagne and the gorgeous floral arrangements on each table just added to the feeling of magic and joy.
London’s Quirky Side
As the evening rolled in, we ventured into the streets. The bustle of Covent Garden was magical, filled with street performers, music, and laughter. We even caught a glimpse of the famous street theatre that always makes me smile! You just can't get this kind of atmosphere anywhere else in the world.
Time to Rest
By the end of the day, my feet were begging for a rest. I slipped into my silk nightie, the soft pink fabric a perfect antidote to the city's buzz, and drifted off to sleep with dreams of twirling through cobbled streets and watching a million pink tutus bloom in the dawn light.
Looking Forward to Next Week
My heart is already planning the next trip to London! The next ballet performance I have booked is Swan Lake, and I can hardly contain my excitement! Oh, and you know there will be some exciting pink finds waiting for me in the shops – you can be sure to see my new purchases on the blog next week.
Keep twirling and spread the love of pink tutus!

But Wait, There’s More!
London on this Friday, March 20th, 2026, is filled with more excitement than you can shake a pink feather boa at! Here’s a glimpse of what’s happening around town:
Art lovers unite! The Tate Modern has a brand new exhibition showcasing the works of one of the most exciting contemporary artists, and I am already itching to see what colours they have chosen! The Tate is a favourite place for me to gather inspiration, and a great place to admire how designers incorporate colour in their work.
Music, Music Everywhere! London's live music scene is bursting with talent. Check out the iconic Royal Albert Hall, home to classical concerts and renowned pop artists. Or head down to Brixton Academy, known for its lively indie and rock acts – every single week something is happening!
London's Literary Hub: For you bookworms out there, The British Library is a hidden gem! Their special exhibitions offer a chance to explore centuries of history through captivating displays. I, of course, adore a good book about fashion and ballet.
The Big Night Out! Friday night in London is an experience like no other. From dazzling West End shows (I am dying to see a musical! My favourite has to be Moulin Rouge, of course) to vibrant pubs with live music, London will certainly light your spirits up.
Just Remember…
No matter what you do, make sure to enjoy London's fantastic mix of traditions and contemporary cool, always keeping an eye out for those hidden gems that make it a truly unique and captivating city!
Emma’s Fashion Tips for London:
London's streets are like an open-air runway, showcasing a vibrant and diverse mix of styles! Whether you're into sleek tailoring, chic bohemian vibes, or quirky streetwear, you’re sure to find inspiration in every corner. Here are some of my top tips to create a look that is perfect for a day of London adventures:
- The Pink Palette: Pink is always in style. A statement pink dress or top can instantly add some cheer to your look, especially against the city's architectural backdrop.
- Embrace Your Inner Queen: No matter your personal style, confidence is always key. Remember, it's not just about the clothes, but the attitude! When I walk down the street in my pink tutu, my head is held high!
- A Little Bit of Magic: Don’t be afraid to add a touch of whimsical flair to your outfit. A feather boa, sparkly earrings, a touch of lace… a bit of personality really brings an outfit to life.
- Embrace the London Weather: Remember, London can be a little unpredictable! Be sure to carry a lightweight jacket to layer over your outfit. The key is to keep comfortable, especially when you are walking so much.
Finally, Remember…
My fellow pink tutu-lovers, a touch of sparkle never hurts in a city like London. And while I love the grandeur of London's history, it's the people and their personalities that truly bring it to life. Go out and explore, make memories, and always keep those pink tutus twirling!
See you next Friday, London!
Love, Emma xx
