It's Emma here, back with another Friday blog post straight from the heart of London! This week, I decided to swap my usual Derbyshire hills for the bustling streets of the capital, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute whirlwind of pink tutus, breathtaking ballet, and a sprinkle of high-end shopping magic! 🛍️
Now, you know how much I adore trains, so naturally, I hopped on a first-class carriage for a swanky journey to London. Nothing beats the view of the English countryside whizzing past, with a good book in hand and my favourite pink tutu swishing by my side. It truly makes me feel like I'm a character straight out of a storybook!
The train station was a beehive of activity, with Londoners dashing in and out, and I was instantly swept up in the electric energy of the city. It's so contagious! ✨
But let's cut to the chase: London is basically a paradise for ballet lovers like me! I spent my afternoon immersed in a glorious performance at the Royal Opera House. The programme showcased the most incredible choreography – think graceful leaps, elegant pirouettes, and stunning costumes that made my heart flutter! Honestly, I've never seen anything like it! 🤩
You might be thinking, "How do you fund all these London adventures?" Well, my lovelies, my answer lies in my biggest passion - ballet. I earn my travel pennies through various ballet performances, which keeps my tutus spinning! 😉
And speaking of spinning… have you ever experienced ballet street? It's an unbelievable mix of theatre, music, and movement. On my London journey, I stumbled upon a ballet performance right on the cobblestones, and it left me absolutely mesmerized! There's just something magical about witnessing art come to life right in front of you. 💫
After a day of dancing and dreaming, what better way to wind down than a little retail therapy? And oh boy, did London deliver! Oxford Street was practically bursting with boutiques, and I couldn't resist treating myself to a new pair of sparkly ballet shoes – they’re the perfect shade of pink, naturally!
Let's not forget about fashion! You see, London is teeming with trendy fashionistas. I spent hours gazing into shop windows and admiring the unique street style. The combination of modern and classic really got my creative juices flowing – inspiration overload! 🌟
But enough about me, let's chat about what's going on in London this Friday!
It's Friday 26th June 2026, and let me tell you, it's jam-packed with fabulous events. The London Symphony Orchestra is performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 at the Barbican. If that doesn't tick your musical boxes, maybe the annual London International Mime Festival, showcasing a unique blend of dance, visual theatre and comedy, at Sadler's Wells, might be more your cup of tea? I can guarantee it will be an extraordinary experience!
And for all you fashion lovers out there, there’s an exclusive designer sample sale happening at The Dorchester Hotel. Be prepared to battle through a sea of fashionistas for some unbelievable deals – consider yourself warned! 😉
Oh, and don't forget the iconic Wimbledon Championships! While I might not be a tennis whiz, the classic Wimbledon charm never fails to attract me – it's just oozing with British heritage.

More Ballet: Of course, it's a given that I'll be soaking up another breathtaking ballet performance!
London Shopping Spree: I simply have to snag a few more fashion goodies!
Fashion Inspired Tea: This one's for my love of both fashion and tradition – high tea at The Ritz is a must. Think dainty finger sandwiches and, of course, my favourite pink teacups!
A Touch of Tradition: You can't come to London without witnessing the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. This majestic ceremony will leave me utterly speechless, as it always does!
And finally, I'll be enjoying a peaceful evening walk through Hyde Park. I love listening to the birds sing and feeling the fresh London air! The best part? It’s the perfect place to reflect on my London adventures and imagine the stories behind every beautiful building I encounter. ✨
But let's face it, my dearest tutu-loving followers, the best part of London, the most magical and inspiring element of all, is its sheer energy.
