Ciao, my darlings!
It’s Wednesday, the 1st of July, 2026, and I'm here in the fashion capital of the world – Milan! It feels absolutely divine to be back in this vibrant, artistic city. Honestly, the sheer glamour and buzz just make my little ballet heart sing!
Remember that cheeky tweet I posted a few weeks back, "My suitcase is packed, my pink tutu is prepped, and Milan, you better be ready!" Well, I’m here, darling, ready to embrace all the magic this fabulous city has to offer.
A Day of Pink and Pretty: Milan in Full Bloom
My first day was pure sunshine and, naturally, a pink explosion! I started off the day in my favourite spot in Milan - Piazza Duomo. The sun was shining, the sky was bright blue, and the cathedral's gothic spires were just gleaming. It's hard not to be mesmerised by this iconic square!
After admiring the Duomo, it was time for a bit of fashion therapy, so I ventured into the Via Monte Napoleone, where some of the most exclusive designer boutiques line the streets. I even spotted a gorgeous fuchsia-coloured dress in a window, begging to be brought home, but alas, I was too busy making a mental note to return with a thicker purse (and a maybe a second suitcase, because one simply isn't enough, is it?)
Tram Travels: The Heartbeat of Milan
After a little too much time in the luxury shops (sorry, darling, a ballerina girl's gotta do what a ballerina girl's gotta do!), I hopped onto the tram for a little adventure. I have to say, Milan's trams are so pretty – bright yellow with sleek, vintage features. They really capture that sense of elegant European style, just like a ballet dancer twirling in a pastel-pink tutu.
La Scala Dreams: A Symphony of Art and Elegance
In the evening, it was time for a real treat – a visit to La Scala, the world-famous opera house. The air hummed with anticipation as I stepped inside, and the ornate interior was just breathtaking. I could imagine all the legendary performers who graced the stage, and I could feel my own heart beating faster in rhythm with the approaching performance. The acoustics, the ambience, the sheer opulence - it truly felt like stepping back into time!
Tonight's show was an operatic ballet adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet," featuring a mesmerizing choreography and incredibly passionate performances. The romance and drama swirled on the stage, making the performance even more emotional, with those poignant notes playing out through the orchestra. It truly felt like every feeling was amplified by the theatre itself. It was pure enchantment.
Pink Tutu Postcards: Sending Love From Milan
As I write this blog post, sipping on a steaming cappuccino (with a dash of pink, naturally!) at my hotel balcony, I can’t help but be filled with a sense of pure joy.
This city – its architecture, its fashion, its culture, its heart – is truly captivating. And I just know that Milan will play a starring role in this pink-tutu adventure of mine.
I’m already looking forward to my next adventure here, my dears! Maybe a delicious pizza in Navigli, a captivating fashion show, or a ballet class in a stunning palazzo. Who knows what delights await? But I can guarantee, whatever I encounter, there’ll be pink – and there will be tutus!
And my darling ballet-loving readers, don’t forget to let me know in the comments below, what are your favourite Milan moments, your top fashion picks, and where is your favourite place to get your pink tutu fix!
