Pink Tutu Milan - #1698 - A December Dream in Milano! ?✨??

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-loving blogger, back with another whirlwind week from the glamorous streets of Milan! This week, my lovelies, has been a real pinch me moment. Think dazzling lights, incredible performances, and enough pink to paint the whole city... well, maybe just a corner, but still, you get the picture!

This week has been an extra special one, my dears. It's the day that actually feels like Christmas – you know, the day after all the excitement has settled and you're left with that contented feeling, nestled among baubles and leftover mince pies. The festive spirit here in Milan has been truly magical. Christmas decorations are still sparkling in the windows and the shops are buzzing with late-night shoppers picking up last-minute treats.

And me? Well, I've been indulging in a bit of festive fashion therapy, obviously! There's just something about this time of year that calls for an extra layer of sparkle and, well, who am I to resist?! Today's ensemble? A delicate blush pink tulle skirt paired with a sparkling emerald green jumper – just the perfect mix of festive cheer and winter chic. Think Parisian chic with a little extra oomph. And of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Milan post without my trusty pink tutu peeking out from beneath it all! Pink, you see, is always a good idea. And don't even get me started on the sheer joy of twirling around a store filled with festive shoppers! Let's just say I've made quite a few friends this week! ?

Speaking of festive fun, Milan is really getting into the spirit. The other night, I caught a truly spectacular performance of The Nutcracker at the Teatro alla Scala. Oh, darling! The sheer artistry was enough to melt a snowman's heart, let me tell you! The music, the costumes, the dancers - every element was just perfection. If you haven't experienced a live performance of The Nutcracker, put it on your Christmas bucket list. You have to witness the magic of that beautiful story unfolding right before your eyes.

But, my adventures haven't all been about fancy theatre productions! This week, I finally found the perfect place to stock up on my winter essentials. I cannot tell you how long I've been looking for the perfect knitted scarf! There are just some things in life, darling, that require patience, and finding that scarf, oh dear, has been a journey. Well, I'm happy to say, it's finally arrived! It's a glorious soft, creamy beige with a hint of shimmer - simply dreamy - and, of course, it perfectly matches the new winter boots I've just fallen in love with. Let's just say it was a very satisfying shopping trip!

Speaking of falling in love, there is no more enchanting place than Milan in winter. This city transforms, truly transforms. It’s like the entire place is wrapped in a festive embrace - the cold air crisp, the lights glittering, and a gentle blanket of snow making the old stone buildings even more majestic. And even the tram, darling! It's even prettier with snowflakes sparkling on the window panes! Yes, even our favourite mode of transportation - those charming trams - gets a touch of magic during the holiday season! I am absolutely in love!

Let me share another bit of exciting news with you, darlings! I’ve got a rather special surprise lined up for next week - I’m going to be joining the annual Christmas ballet at the Teatro Arcimboldi. Now, I've heard that this ballet is quite a spectacle, full of traditional festive magic and, of course, plenty of pink tulle! You just know this ballet dancer is absolutely going to get into the Christmas spirit - the sparkle, the twirling, and oh, those festive colours! I cannot wait to tell you all about it next week.

And of course, no Milan trip would be complete without mentioning the absolute heaven that is the Italian food scene! From delectable fresh pasta with delicate pesto to the most incredible artisanal pizzas you could ever imagine, Milan's culinary world has had my taste buds on cloud nine. Oh, and those delicious Panettones, with their perfectly fluffy bread and melt-in-your-mouth candied fruits? Just delightful!

Now, darling, it's time to sign off. There's so much more I could tell you, but then this blog post would be longer than the queue for the best coffee shop in Milan, and who wants to read that? But rest assured, you'll get a very detailed rundown of my next ballet adventures soon enough.

Until then, remember, darling, life's too short to not wear pink tutus and never too cold to spread a little festive cheer!

Stay chic,

Emma
