Hello darlings! 💋 It's Emma here, and as usual, it's a brand new Monday which means a brand new adventure for your favourite tutu-clad traveller! This week I'm living for the Big Apple, a city so vibrant and full of life that it's got me twirling faster than a pirouette in a whirlwind! ✨

Today, April 6th, 2026, the air is alive with the rhythm of spring! The blossom on the trees is a beautiful, soft pink – almost as lovely as my new tutu (which I'll be revealing soon – don't you worry!) 🤫

So, where have my tiny dancer shoes taken me this week? Well, first off, a little bit of magic from the American Ballet Theatre at the Metropolitan Opera House! The stage was a dream – all gold and velvet, fit for a fairytale. The dancers were graceful and ethereal, reminding me why I love ballet so much. Honestly, it was utterly breathtaking!

After a little swoon-worthy performance, I indulged in a delightful bit of retail therapy at Bergdorf Goodman! This iconic store has everything a girl could ever dream of! My shopping bag is bursting with new frills and fancies – all in the most glorious shade of pink, naturally! 🎀

For the evening, I whisked myself off to Bryant Park for some much-needed people-watching. It's amazing to see New York come alive at sunset! As I enjoyed a cuppa from a quaint café, I watched couples strolling hand-in-hand and buskers performing lively tunes. I couldn't help but get swept up in the atmosphere and even twirled a bit myself – after all, what better way to brighten someone's day? 🥰

Now, for those who don't know me, let me be completely transparent about how I'm able to gallivant around the globe in my tutu! I fund these travels through my performances – yes, I'm a ballerina! 🩰 My life revolves around the artistry and dedication of ballet, and I’m lucky enough to share this passion with audiences worldwide.

While the stage is where my heart truly lies, my other great passion is… drumroll… FASHION! 😍 From the perfect tutu to a chic and sophisticated dress, I'm a total sucker for beautiful clothes! For me, every outfit is an opportunity to tell a story, express myself, and spread a little bit of magic wherever I go.

As I've been flitting through New York City this week, I've been feeling so inspired by all the beautiful people with their unique sense of style! Every outfit is an art form in itself. You wouldn't believe the amazing combinations of bold colours, prints, and textures – it's an absolute treat for my eyes!

That brings me to my lifelong goal, a mission so important that it gives me butterflies – getting everyone in the world to wear a pink tutu! Many of you know my story – a young girl with a dream and a pair of pink shoes! As I sit here typing on my laptop in a swanky New York hotel, I can’t help but reminisce about my humble beginnings in Derbyshire, England. 🏘️ My journey started in a quaint little village with cobblestone streets and the aroma of freshly baked cakes in the air.

My love for ballet began when I was just a little girl, watching in awe at the beautiful dancers on the local stage. The grace, the precision, the passion – it completely captivated me. The desire to dance became an all-consuming force, a passion I just couldn't ignore! 🩰

Over the years, I danced my heart out at every opportunity, embracing the world of ballet with an unwavering commitment. Every leap, every turn, every performance felt like a celebration of life itself.

Of course, the world of ballet isn’t all roses! I've faced countless challenges along the way – moments of doubt, pressure to succeed, and endless hours of practice. But each obstacle was merely another chance to push myself further, to test my limits, and to ultimately discover a new level of strength within myself. 💪

Then came the opportunity that would forever change my life. I auditioned for a ballet company in London, a pivotal moment in my career that launched me on an exhilarating journey of international performances. It was a dream come true, but it also marked a brand new chapter in my life – a time of learning, growing, and exploring the beauty of the world through dance. 🌏

That’s how I landed in New York City. The bustling energy of the city instantly caught my attention – the fast pace, the endless avenues of art and culture, and a vibrant mix of people from all walks of life! The metropolis was an intoxicating mix of noise and beauty, and the excitement in the air was almost palpable!

So here I am, living the life I always dreamed of, one twirl at a time. The world is my stage, and every new city I discover feels like a brand new act, filled with possibilities and surprises. 💖

I can’t resist sharing some of my favourite NYC spots that have truly made this trip unforgettable:

Central Park: The ultimate green oasis in the midst of a concrete jungle, Central Park is an escape from the city's clamorous rhythm! It’s a haven for romance, picnics, leisurely walks, and even spontaneous twirling (what can I say – a tutu encourages spontaneity!), with its beautiful gardens, manicured paths, and calming presence. 💖

The High Line: This elevated park offers a stunning panoramic view of the cityscape! I adore its blend of urban greenery, unique sculptures, and architectural design. As a ballerina, I find its design to be an inspiration – it feels like an expression of the modern, free spirit that embodies this city. 🍃

The Met (Metropolitan Museum of Art): This iconic institution houses a diverse and vast collection of art, spanning centuries and cultures. I could easily spend days exploring the intricate halls and marveling at the masterpieces they hold – from sculptures to paintings, from ancient artefacts to modern installations. The museum itself is a masterpiece in its own right! 🏛️

The Brooklyn Bridge: This is a New York icon, and for good reason. There’s a captivating beauty in this bridge's design and structure – the steel cables and stone arches create a symphony of architecture that’s both sturdy and elegant. I particularly enjoy walking across the bridge, feeling the city’s pulse underfoot! It’s a great place to get some fresh air and admire the views of both Brooklyn and Manhattan! 🌇

But above all else, the thing that I love most about New York City is its people! 👫 From the taxi drivers with their endless quips to the shopkeepers with their kind smiles, the locals make New York feel truly unique. Every individual adds a touch of personality to this melting pot of cultures and aspirations. It’s impossible to ignore the vibrancy and spirit of the city, a constant reminder that life is an adventure – and there’s no better place to experience that than in the Big Apple! 🍎
