Hello lovelies! It’s Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip on the EuroStar and ready to paint the town pink in the City of Lights! My latest ballet performances have been going down a storm – such a brilliant way to fund these fabulous adventures – and Paris was simply calling! This city is my ultimate sartorial muse, a place where style and history collide. You know what they say: Paris is always a good idea. And so, here I am, ready to embark on a pink-tinted Parisian adventure, and share it all with you.
First things first – a new pink tutu just for Paris! It's a vibrant hot pink with delicate floral embroidery and the most exquisite layers of tulle. It's giving Parisian chic with a touch of whimsical fairytale magic, perfect for dancing through the cobbled streets, swirling beneath the Eiffel Tower, and waltzing through the Louvre.
This trip's all about soaking up the atmosphere and experiencing the Parisian way of life. I'm dreaming of charming cafes with crusty baguettes and steaming mugs of café au lait, exploring the historic Latin Quarter with its charming bookshops and hidden squares, and getting lost in the Musée du Louvre's breathtaking artwork, especially the graceful Venus de Milo.
But before we get lost in the artistic wonderlands, let's chat about the magical journey on the EuroStar. This isn't just a mode of transport; it's a whole experience. The train itself is luxurious, like a rolling palace. There's so much room to stretch your legs, the seats are supremely comfortable (a girl needs her beauty sleep after a long journey), and the windows offer breathtaking views as you whiz through the English countryside. The friendly staff made me feel like royalty (even in my pink tutu!) and the sense of anticipation for arriving in Paris filled the air like a perfume.
Now, a bit about my itinerary - because, like a good ballet performance, I always have a well-rehearsed plan. I'm keeping things relatively open for spontaneity but I have a few must-dos:
1. Shopping on the Champs-Élysées: My love of ballet often blends with fashion, and Paris is a dream come true. The iconic Champs-Élysées is on my to-do list for an afternoon of exploring designer boutiques and independent vintage finds. Who knows what fabulous finds await? Maybe a stunning pink silk scarf for my Parisian photoshoot?
2. A French Ballet Class: Even on vacation, the ballerina in me needs her daily fix of graceful movements! I'm booked into a ballet class at one of Paris’ renowned studios. Just imagine – a charming French instructor guiding us through graceful moves with a classical Parisian elegance. I can already picture the graceful leaps and pirouettes in my hot pink tutu – oh la la!
3. A performance at the Opéra Garnier: This grand theatre is one of the most magnificent opera houses in the world. Its exquisite architecture, rich history, and the performances it holds… well, I'm simply in awe. I can't wait to take in the beautiful choreography and enjoy the incredible artistry, and hopefully pick up some inspiration for my next ballet routine!
4. Finding a Hidden Café for some French Indulgence: This city is overflowing with hidden gems! Imagine cozy corners, sun-drenched patios, and the most delicious pastries. We'll be spending evenings exploring Parisian cafés, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, sipping delicious hot chocolate, and maybe even catching a street performance of ballet or something else exciting.
But my true plan? To get the people of Paris wearing pink tutus. We're aiming for a Tutu-tude takeover, making Paris even more fabulous and embracing a bit of whimsical charm. Who knows, maybe a pink tutu fashion flash mob beneath the Eiffel Tower is in order? Now that's a sight I’d love to witness!
Speaking of which – did you know that Paris has the Musée de la Danse? This museum showcases the evolution of dance through the ages, from ancient Egyptian performances to modern ballet and beyond. I have to add this to the list!
And that's just the start of this Parisian journey, darling! Each day is a new adventure, a new experience. I’m feeling so inspired by this enchanting city and all its magic. And it's only just the beginning. This is only my first day, and I know it's going to be a whirl of pink tutus, beautiful ballet performances, incredible fashion, and a whole lot of French charm.
Don't forget to check back next Saturday for more Paris adventures! And please do tell me your Parisian highlights! What’s your favorite place in Paris? And have you ever dreamed of twirling through its streets in a pink tutu?
Until next time,
Emma
