Hello darlings! It's Emma here, reporting live from the most romantic city in the world - Paris! š¼ I'm absolutely bursting with excitement because I'm here for a week, exploring all the magical sights, indulging in delicious pastries (that's a must for every visit!), and of course, experiencing the world-famous Paris ballet scene.
As many of you know, I travel almost exclusively by Eurostar - it's such a chic way to reach this beautiful city. My travels are always funded by my ballet performances, so I'm proud to be sharing my adventures with you all! Every week, I write a new blog post from a different exciting location. So, whatās happening today in the world of #PinkTutuBlogParis?
This morning, after a scrumptious breakfast at our hotel - and by breakfast I mean the most decadent pastries and the best cafƩ au lait in the world - I did a quick tour of the Palais Garnier. Oh my, this grand opera house is simply stunning! Its opulent dƩcor and exquisite architecture have to be seen to be believed! Every nook and cranny exudes elegance and beauty. The Palais Garnier is synonymous with Paris Opera, so of course I had to pay homage and visit. If only I could spend all day just gawking at the incredible detail in every aspect of this venue! But for now, I must indulge in a bit of shopping... and then off to see the most magical ballet performance!
Pink Tutu Shopping - A Must for Every Paris Visit!
I've had my eye on a new pink tutu for ages, one that is just the right shade of blush with an explosion of hand-sewn sparkly sequins. Well, this morning, the tutu of my dreams has been found in the most charming little boutique nestled in the heart of the Marais district! And what better place to try it on than at my favourite hotel in the Latin Quarter?
Itās important to wear something truly special when youāre in Paris. I firmly believe the perfect pink tutu is the essential piece to complete any look - be it shopping at vintage boutiques in Saint-Germain-des-PrĆ©s or enjoying an al fresco picnic near the Eiffel Tower!
After lunch, which was another divine pastry affair - this time with a side of creamy French onion soup - it was time to see the ultimate Paris show, the one that's the perfect blend of traditional ballet and a vibrant modern spectacle - āCinderballet!ā at the ThĆ©atre du ChĆ¢telet. I booked our seats months ago, because this show is always in demand, and Iām just SO excited to see it. Youāll be hearing all about it in next weekās blog post!
Paris: A Ballet Lover's Paradise
Every city has its charm, but thereās something truly special about Paris and its passionate connection to dance. This city embraces ballet in a way that warms my ballerina soul. Whether itās seeing a traditional classic in the historic Palais Garnier or discovering an unexpected gem like the Parisian street dancers in the Place de la Concorde, Paris has this captivating energy for the art form thatās almost tangible.
In the late afternoon, we stumbled upon a performance of 'Danse dans le Marais,' an outdoor, free ballet show in a local square in the Marais. What a beautiful surprise! These street dancers were breathtaking. Their athleticism, grace, and energy captivated the audience, and the whole square was humming with excitement. And you know what was the cherry on top? It was a contemporary ballet with a powerful female storyline - and that makes my heart sing. Itās important for young girls to see that women can be strong, bold, and express their feelings through the power of dance.
Itās always magical to witness ballet performances in unconventional places. And, letās be honest, that Parisian sky makes the perfect backdrop for anything! It really reminds you to embrace the unexpected joy and artistry that is right there, waiting for you, even when you least expect it!
Tonight's Parisian Extravaganza
After this morning's Parisian delights, we have some relaxing time scheduled before our next adventure ā a show-stopping dinner at Le Bouillon Chartier! You can never get enough classic French cuisine, and the ambience in this restaurant is straight out of a Parisian film set. Iāve already scoped out the perfect pink tutu for tonightās occasion! My aim in life is to get everyone to wear a pink tutu! What could be more fabulous than spreading some joy and cheer? It's all about expressing yourself with confidence and embracing the beauty of dancing through life, whether itās on stage or simply enjoying a romantic Parisian evening.
And who knows, perhaps I'll even end up doing a little impromptu ballet on the cobblestone streets - after all, what is a Pink Tutu Blogger trip to Paris without a spontaneous twirl under the magical City of Lights?
