Bonjour mes amies! It's Emma here, and the Eiffel Tower is twinkling right at me as I sit in a charming little Parisian café, sipping a perfectly frothy cappuccino and scribbling away in my pink-embossed notebook. Paris! This city truly makes my tutu twirl! I just arrived this morning on the EuroStar, and already I've fallen head-over-heels for the Parisian charm, the delectable pastries, the breathtaking architecture... and let's not forget the fabulous fashion!
You guys, this trip has been in the planning for months. I've been saving every penny I earned from my ballet performances, and even splurged on a couple of extra performances just to make sure I could truly experience Paris in all its pink-tutu glory. Of course, my trusty pink travel case was bursting with my favourite tutu ensembles - perfect for exploring the city in style.
The journey on the EuroStar was such a dream! It's always so relaxing to sit back and admire the countryside scenery from the large windows while nibbling on a delicious croissant and a cheeky glass of French sparkling wine (with a pink straw, obviously!). I must say, I truly believe train journeys add a certain je ne sais quoi to any trip. It's all part of the adventure!
Today, as I arrived in the Gare du Nord, my Parisian escapade officially commenced! I felt like Cinderella stepping into a fairytale, but with a sprinkle of Parisian glamour. You see, this trip has a special purpose beyond just enjoying the Parisian lifestyle (though, let's face it, who can resist the magic of Paris?!). I'm on a mission to find the perfect tutu for the upcoming "A Midsummer Night's Dream" performance back in Derbyshire. You guys, this production is going to be utterly spectacular, and I need a tutu that captures the whimsy and the magic of Shakespeare's masterpiece!
Of course, my mission won't be solely focused on tutu-hunting. My trusty schedule, complete with handwritten notes and pink glitter highlights, is bursting with Parisian adventures:
Saturday:
Morning: Arriving in Paris in style, of course! You can bet I'll have some Instagram-worthy pics at the Gare du Nord in my pink tutu.
Afternoon: Shopping spree at Galeries Lafayette! Pink tutu ready to take on the designer fashion, and let me tell you, I am SO excited. My bank account might weep a little, but my closet will sing with joy!
Evening: Parisian Ballet Performance! Nothing quite compares to a ballet performance in this beautiful city, especially when accompanied by the aroma of freshly baked baguettes and the sweet sound of Parisian street music. Tonight, I'll be seeing "Giselle," one of my absolute favourites!
Sunday:
Morning: Let's talk pastries. I am on a mission to sample every single French pastry that I can find. I have my eye on the macarons and the eclairs!
Afternoon: A walk down the Champs-Élysées. This is a quintessential Parisian experience that I simply cannot miss! And let's be honest, my pink tutu is going to be absolutely perfect against that backdrop of iconic Parisian architecture.
Evening: River Seine cruise and dinner. There's just something romantic and magical about gliding down the Seine with twinkling city lights reflecting on the water.
Monday:
Morning: Moulin Rouge! Yes, you guys, the legendary cabaret is on my list. It's going to be spectacular! And of course, a pink tutu would be absolutely perfect for such a show!
Afternoon: A day trip to Versailles. This palace is pure history, and I'm already envisioning all the photo opportunities. The French gardens are legendary!
Evening: Dinner with the most gorgeous Parisian view. There's a certain "je ne sais quoi" to Parisian sunsets, and I plan to savor it to the fullest!
Tuesday:
Morning: Exploring the Latin Quarter. Cobbled streets, cute shops, the Sorbonne, all the way down to the charming Pont Neuf Bridge... What's not to love?!
Afternoon: Lunch with a view at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica! Nothing beats that stunning panorama of Paris from the top.
Evening: And a little Parisian romance... a leisurely walk across the Pont Alexandre III with the City of Lights as our backdrop. Who needs Prince Charming when you have the most magical city in the world, right?!
Wednesday:
Morning: Catching a performance at the Palais Garnier! You guys, this is truly a world-renowned ballet theatre, and I'm absolutely buzzing with excitement to experience a performance here.
Afternoon: Fashion, fashion, fashion! My Parisian shopping spree will culminate in an afternoon spent at Chanel. One cannot visit Paris without a visit to a designer boutique or two, right?!
Evening: A Farewell Dinner, soaking in the beauty and magic of Paris one last time before returning home.
Thursday:
- Morning: Back to the UK on the EuroStar! It's always bittersweet saying "au revoir" to Paris. But hey, with so many amazing photos and memories, I'll definitely be counting down the days until my next Parisian adventure!
