Bonjour mes chĆ©ries! It's your girl Emma, back from Derbyshire and landed in Paris, the City of Lights! Itās a whirlwind of excitement and⦠oh yesā¦pink! This time, itās Paris! How exciting is that?
I know some of you might be thinking, "Emma, are you actually in Paris wearing a tutu?" And the answer is⦠of course! This time, Iāve gone all out with a stunning hot pink, ruffled tutu. Itās even more perfect with the Eiffel Tower in the background ā youāve got to agree. Let me tell you, nothing beats the feeling of twirling in Paris, the iconic backdrop making the perfect frame for my outfit.
I had to squeeze this Parisian escapade into my schedule between ballet shows. You see, funding my travel is all down to those glorious performances and I wouldnāt have it any other way! But this weekend, Iām leaving the ballet shoes behind (well, almost!) to focus on Parisian fun!
Speaking of getting here⦠Oh! The Eurostar was an absolute dream! The sleek trains, the friendly staff, and even a complimentary glass of bubbly made me feel like a Parisian fashionista in my gorgeous pink ensemble! The whole journey was so glamorous, and just the perfect start to a weekend full of pink perfection!
Day One in the City of Lights - Shopping, Shows & Sparkling Twirls!
After settling into my adorable little hotel room (pink floral wallpaper, of course!), I decided to go straight into Paris mode: SHOPPING! My ultimate goal was a little vintage Parisian flair. My mission was to find that special piece of fashion, the one that screams, "Bonjour Paris! I'm ready to dance!"
Of course, what's a trip to Paris without a trip to the Champs-ĆlysĆ©es? This grand avenue truly is a shopper's paradise! It was a true feast for the eyes, with beautiful shops of every kind lining the streets. But honestly, Iām not a big brand girl, more about the cute boutique style with its individuality!
And the best part? My shopping adventure took me straight to a beautiful Parisian boulangerie ā divine pastries and coffee ā all before my ballet class, so the perfect start to my Parisian adventure. You can find the bakery mentioned in my āFindsā section, as you'd be a fool to miss it!
Now, who wants to join me for a ballet show? As a ballet fan, a visit to the iconic Palais Garnier, home to the Paris Opera Ballet, is a must. It's an exquisite venue, and this week itās hosting a new show featuring the brilliant dancers in the world's most beautiful costumes. It was magical.
Evening in Pink Perfection - Dinner with a View
No trip to Paris would be complete without a touch of romance and indulgence. Dinner was on the top floor of a stunning rooftop restaurant, overlooking the city, all while my pink tutu shone like a beacon of femininity under the Parisian sunset. As you can see, a twirling photo-shoot on the terrace followed, a moment captured in my photos - Iāll show you a little later.
Parisian Discoveries: Little Treats, Big Adventures
This weekās post might be short, my little pink tutu is ready for an early night so Iām saving some of the Parisian wonders for next week. But let me just tell you - I discovered a charming little tea shop nestled amongst the streets, and the most wonderful macaron shop with pink meringue delights.
It is all coming together. My Paris escapade has just begun! More exciting pink adventures are in store! See you next Saturday, when I'll be filling you in on everything that happened from my fashion discoveries and my love of all things Paris, to my latest ballet find!
P.S. You all know I love to see your lovely pink tutus too, so send me photos, my darlings!
Lots of love and twirls, Emma xx
