Hello lovelies!
It's Emma here, your favourite pink tutu wearing, ballet-loving blogger, and I am absolutely thrilled to be bringing you a post straight from the City of Lights! Paris, my darlings, has been calling my name for years, and this weekend, my dream has finally come true!
I must tell you, the journey was almost as magical as the destination. Whizzing through the Channel Tunnel on the Eurostar is always such an adventure! I felt like a little girl again, staring out the window with my nose pressed against the glass, the landscape blurring by in a beautiful ballet of colours. Of course, I had to wear my lucky pink tutu for the journey. What else could a ballerina do? It wouldn't be a true pink tutu adventure without it, would it?
But enough about the journey! Let's talk about the grand finale – Paris! This city has an almost magical atmosphere. You can practically smell the croissants and feel the artistic energy pulsating through the cobbled streets. The second I stepped off the train, I knew I was going to fall head over heels (or perhaps, tutu over heels?) for this stunning city.
Today, Saturday 29th November 2025, my pink tutu and I had an absolutely jam-packed schedule filled with all the things Paris does best!
First things first, we started our day at the Opera Garnier, that magnificent architectural marvel, all grand staircases and gold embellishments! It's the most perfect setting for an opera, even if we were just here for a tour. I couldn't resist a little twirl in the grand foyer. Can you imagine the thrill of performing on that stage? Pure magic!
Speaking of magic, the ballet show that night was something else. The Palais Garnier (I know, more stunning architecture!), hosted a performance of The Sleeping Beauty by the Paris Opera Ballet. I've loved this ballet since I was a little girl, but to see it performed with such precision and grace in such an incredible venue? It was simply divine. Honestly, I think I've finally found my own prince charming, because Paris definitely stole my heart.
Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without a bit of indulgence! And believe me, darling, indulge we did! After the show, we headed to one of the most charming little bistros I've ever seen. Picture it: flickering candlelight, red checkered tablecloths, and the most heavenly French cuisine. We were absolutely spoiled, indulging in succulent escargots followed by a truly delectable Crème brûlée. A little glass of French wine was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious food.
My favourite part of this day was definitely the evening. There's just something about a Parisian sunset. I walked along the Seine, soaking up the gorgeous light filtering over the city, a magical golden glow highlighting the iconic buildings. It was absolutely enchanting! And just for the record, my tutu really glowed under the soft lighting - a definite highlight for the day.
And, you know I can't talk about Paris without mentioning the shopping! There were SO many fabulous shops bursting with beautiful things. Oh, darling, if only I had a bigger suitcase! I snagged the most amazing pair of ruby red ballerina pumps that will look stunning with my pink tutus, along with a delicate, hand-painted porcelain ballerina figurine that I plan to proudly display in my little ballet nook back home. I also fell in love with a beautiful, vintage black silk evening dress with delicate lace trim, just perfect for my next performance!
One thing's for sure - this trip to Paris has definitely inspired me to think bigger and bolder with my wardrobe choices. This city encourages a sense of effortless chic. I love that you can effortlessly pair classic elegance with bold colours and quirky accessories. It's such a beautiful juxtaposition and really encourages me to play around more with fashion, pushing my personal boundaries, and of course, finding even more fabulous ways to incorporate pink tutus.
Don't worry darlings, I've been snapping tons of photos to document our adventures in the city of love, which you can see over at the pink-tutu.com website, where my blog is posted weekly.
The trip has already left an indelible mark on me. I truly believe that Paris is the city that dreams are made of. You truly never know what enchanting experience awaits you around every corner. I hope this weekend adventure has given you some wanderlust too! And please, remember that no matter where you go, wear that pink tutu with confidence!
Until next week, lovelies, keep twirling and keep sparkling.
Big love,
Emma xx
