Oh, Paris, you truly are the most magical city! 🩰✨ As I sit here at a little cafe on the Rue de Rivoli, sipping a café au lait (and, of course, it's pink!), I'm just brimming with excitement for all the adventures I'm going to have in the City of Love this weekend.
You see, I took the EuroStar over this morning, a pink-tutu-clad girl on a mission! There's something about gliding through the French countryside on that train that just feels like pure magic. You see those charming little villages with their pastel houses, the fields full of sunflowers and the occasional chateau? It's the ultimate Instagram moment, especially if you're sporting a fabulous pink tutu! 💖
This week's blog post is all about Paris, naturally, and what better way to start than with a little "Pink Tutu's Parisian Guide!"
Pink Tutu's Parisian Guide - Where to Go, What to Do!1. Dance, Dance, Dance!
A ballerina's life in Paris is simply heaven! I absolutely adore watching the ballet here, and I have to say, it's absolutely exquisite. This weekend I'm off to the Palais Garnier for the Nutcracker. Can you believe it? I can practically hear Tchaikovsky's iconic music in my head already! 💖🩰 Oh, and I will be sharing every single delicious detail of the performance with you on my Instagram! Just look for @PinkTutuBlog, you won't miss it!
But, of course, you don't need to spend a fortune on a show to enjoy ballet in Paris. Just pop on a pink tutu (mine's perfect for this kind of impromptu dancing) and follow the sound of music. Paris is brimming with dance classes. I found a gem in the Marais last week, right off the Rue des Archives. A charming studio run by a lovely French woman who teaches a ballet-barre class with all the French grace you could wish for. It's perfect to limber up those limbs, let out some happy energy and meet some other Parisian dancers!
2. Shopping till You Drop... With a Touch of Pink!
Let's face it, you can't go to Paris without a serious shopping spree! This is the land of luxury and chic. From the beautiful, iconic shops like Chanel and Dior to the cutest little boutiques hidden in side streets, you'll be in your shopping heaven! 🛍️
Now, let's be honest, pink is the color of Paris - just look at all those chic cafés with their rose-tinted balconies! You'll find it everywhere, from high fashion houses to little vintage stores, so there's something for everyone. This time, I'm hunting for a beautiful pink beret. I saw one in the most divine shade of pale pink, oh, I can see myself already wearing it on the next picturesque Parisian cobblestone street!
3. Cafe Culture: The Parisian Way!
A Paris visit is not complete without experiencing its fabulous cafe culture. Whether it's sipping a macchiato in a charming café on the Champs-Elysees or indulging in a delicious croissant outside Notre-Dame, every moment in a Parisian cafe is pure magic! I've already made my favorite cafe - "Le Petit Poucet" (meaning "Tom Thumb"!) on Rue de Rivoli. I was charmed by their delicate, lace-trimmed pink parasols and of course, the cakes! The mille-feuille with the pink meringue swirls just hit the spot!
4. Take a Trip to Disneyland Paris!
Now, every girl at heart needs a little sprinkle of Disney magic! So this weekend, we're going to take a magical trip to Disneyland Paris. I hear the Castle of Sleeping Beauty is even more stunning in person! 🏰 And imagine me whirling around on those carousel horses - I'm practically dreaming already! Don't you just adore how that fairy-tale, princess-in-pink feeling really fits my Pink Tutu world!
5. The Art of Being in Paris!
One thing I truly love about Paris is that it's practically a museum city! I have a secret for you all, I absolutely adore modern art. Not sure what you think, but, well, to me there is something beautiful about how it is just free and open to all interpretations, and isn't that how we should live? Free to interpret life however we see it! So, this time around, I'm going to spend some time wandering through the Pompidou Center. I've heard there are some spectacular pieces on display and just imagine those architectural angles in photos!
Pink Tutu: The Power of the Tutu!
My mission in life is, of course, to encourage everyone to put on a pink tutu and feel like a true ballerina! I really think that a pink tutu has a certain magic about it - it's fun, playful, and full of joie de vivre. There is nothing that gets you smiling like dancing with your tutu and whipping around in a swirling pink ballet skirt, feeling free and fabulous!
My Parisian adventure has just begun, and I can't wait to share all the details of my explorations! What a time to be alive - and in Paris! Don't forget, this is only the beginning! I will post regular updates throughout my stay. So check back next Saturday to catch more Parisian Pink Tutu magic! Stay tuned, darling! And never forget - be yourself, have fun and dance like no one's watching, especially if you have your own amazing pink tutu!
With love,
Emma from Pink-Tutu.com 💕
*Remember to check back next Saturday for more of my Parisian adventures! We will be doing a photoshoot in the Palais Royal Garden with a pink tutu on a little vintage bike. Oh, and did I mention a performance? *
