Pink Tutu Paris: Post #1376 - A Whirlwind of Pink in the City of Lights

Bonjour mes amies!

It's Emma, back from the most magical weekend in Paris, a city that practically sings to my pink tutu-loving soul! You know I live for adventure, and there's no place more vibrant and whimsical than the City of Lights. So, grab a glass of something bubbly and settle in for a Parisian adventure as told through my very pink, very fabulous, very Emma lens.

This trip began with a truly dreamy Eurostar journey. I just adore those high-speed trains - a smooth and stylish way to travel that lets you sit back, sip champagne, and dream about all the pink possibilities awaiting you in Paris. My signature pink tutu was a perfect accessory, turning heads as I floated through the carriage, a splash of colour amidst the sleek modern design.

Now, Paris is a place that sparks pure joy in every step you take. From the moment I emerged from the station, the scent of freshly baked croissants, the sound of street musicians playing Vivaldi, and the sights of chic Parisians in their impeccably stylish attire made me feel like I'd stepped into a fairytale. And yes, I spotted a fellow pink tutu enthusiast, a little girl skipping with her mother, adding a touch of magic to the already delightful scene.

First on my Parisian agenda? A delightful visit to the Musée du Petit Palais. The Musée, a haven of decorative arts, jewellery, and historical Parisian treasures, was absolutely enchanting. Stepping through its doors was like stepping back in time, a swirl of colours and ornate decorations that sent my imagination swirling with a symphony of pink. And the grand staircase? A triumph of ornate artistry, just begging for a graceful pirouette - which, of course, I obliged.

After soaking up the artistic elegance of the Petit Palais, a visit to the world-famous Palais Garnier was an absolute must. The Paris Opera House is the epitome of grand opulence. From its ornate façade to its gilded interior, it felt like stepping into a lavish dream. I was lucky enough to catch a captivating performance of Giselle, the ethereal costumes and the sheer emotion of the story left me speechless, even the tears I shed were infused with a shimmering pink glow.

Now, Paris is not all museums and ballet. It's a city that also pulsates with the energy of vibrant street performers, charming café culture, and exquisite fashion boutiques. I must confess, a stroll down the Champs-Élysées became an impulsive spree in a divine designer boutique. The colour pink reigned supreme as I fell head over heels for the most elegant pair of ballet flats adorned with the most intricate pink embroidery. This new pair is a dream come true and I couldn't wait to give them a spin with a twirl down the iconic Parisian avenue!

As the sun began to set, casting a golden hue over the city, I wandered towards the Seine. I am completely besotted by Paris’ river, a gentle current that weaves through the city, creating a backdrop for laughter, romance and an ambiance of pure Parisian magic. With the Eiffel Tower sparkling in the twilight, it was the perfect backdrop for a moment of quiet contemplation and self-reflection - and of course, some dramatic photo-ops in my beloved pink tutu.

Dinner was a romantic affair at a charming restaurant hidden in the heart of Montmartre, with flickering candlelight, delicious French cuisine, and the aroma of Parisian streets seeping through the open windows. A glass of French wine paired with the most exquisite crème brûlée completed a perfect evening. It was pure Paris magic!

I woke up on Sunday, eager to embrace a day full of art and fashion. I couldn't resist a visit to the stunning Musée Rodin. Imagine my delight at finding a collection of Auguste Rodin’s works dedicated to the human form – how perfect for my dance-loving self! The graceful lines of the statues and the romantic tales of love and passion made me feel inspired. I took it all in, from the famous The Kiss to the enchanting The Thinker, and felt an undeniable connection to the artistic spirit that breathes life into Paris.

Before heading back to London, I had to squeeze in some shopping. It wouldn't be a Paris adventure without a visit to the glorious Bon Marché. There’s something about the energy of that department store, with its glittering displays and exquisite window decorations. And of course, I couldn't leave without a few additions to my tutu collection. From whimsical feather boas to delicately embroidered ballet shoes, I found myself spoilt for choice! My Parisian shopping bags are practically overflowing with enough pink prettiness to fuel my next twelve posts!

As the Eurostar whisked me back to Derbyshire, I couldn’t stop smiling, My trip to Paris, fuelled by pink passion, was a beautiful whirl of colour, culture, and pure Parisian enchantment. A memory that will linger in my mind as a radiant and sparkling ballet of pink!

Until next time,

Emma
