Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post 1377: Paris, Mon Amour!

Bonjour mes chères Tutuistas!

It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, bringing you another delightful blog post, this time straight from the City of Lights, Paris! As always, it’s Saturday and the pink tutu is out in full force – we wouldn’t have it any other way, would we?

This week, the adventure took me on the magical Eurostar, whizzing me through the French countryside and landing me right in the heart of Paris. As usual, the train journey was a blast! My tutu, as you know, never fails to brighten up even the most mundane commute, and the French seemed quite smitten with it too, showering me with smiles and compliments – the joys of spreading tutu love!

Paris, as always, was a sensory overload in the best possible way. The iconic sights – the Eiffel Tower shimmering under a brilliant blue sky, the grand boulevards lined with charming cafes, the quaint cobblestone streets – were simply breathtaking. You could feel the artistic energy swirling around you, just begging you to soak it all up.

And me? Well, what's a pink tutu-clad ballerina to do in Paris? Dance, of course! After settling in at my charming little hotel – all antique furniture and delicate floral patterns – I dashed off to a class at the École de Danse, just a short stroll away. Imagine, dancing under the watchful eye of the Eiffel Tower! It was truly magical. I mean, if I'm honest, my "tour en l’air" was a little wobbly after all the cheese and pastries I'd consumed at the boulangerie earlier (guilty pleasure alert!), but it was all part of the fun, wasn't it?

Of course, a Parisian adventure wouldn’t be complete without indulging in a bit of shopping therapy! Galeries Lafayette is a mecca for every tutu lover's dream – the sheer volume of chic fashion is truly inspiring. But let me tell you, even with my signature pink tutu and my most charming smile, I couldn't resist the allure of a gorgeous silk scarf with a delicate floral design. My latest outfit acquisition? You betcha!

Now, Saturday wouldn't be a Saturday without some exciting entertainment, wouldn't it? I managed to snag a last-minute ticket to a performance at the Théâtre du Châtelet – a ballet classic! Talk about a treat for the soul. Watching the graceful movements, the stunning costumes, the magical stories told through dance – it just leaves you breathless. The energy in that theatre, the anticipation, the applause, the tears... I love everything about a good performance!

Speaking of breathtaking moments, my journey took me on a romantic boat trip along the Seine, where the city's landmarks glittered in the fading light, bathed in the soft glow of the setting sun. The gentle lapping of water against the boat, the sweet notes of street musicians playing a Parisian waltz, a picnic basket filled with delectable treats, my trusty pink tutu (a must-have for any romantic evening!), the sparkling Eiffel Tower, oh, my love, Paris, what can I say? You swept me off my feet!

You know, as much as I love my glamorous dance career, nothing beats a simple, authentic Parisian evening. After a busy day of exploring, there's something so delightful about finding a charming little cafe tucked away on a side street, sipping on a steaming mug of French hot chocolate and indulging in a plate of delectable French pastries while observing the vibrant Parisian life going on around me. I mean, I’m in France, what else could I be doing but enjoying the sweet and simple things in life?

You know, the secret to travelling well, especially when you're living the Pink Tutu lifestyle, is embracing the journey and embracing those simple pleasures.

So there you have it, another week in Paris – full of fashion, fun and tutus galore! Join me next week as we dive deeper into the magic of this incredible city. And, don’t forget, there's a pink tutu for everyone, darling!

À bientôt!
