Oh, darling readers, I'm simply giddy with excitement to be in the City of Lights! My heart beats with the rhythm of a French waltz as I sit here, sipping a perfectly frothy cappuccino in my favourite cafe on Rue de Rivoli, overlooking the Louvre. Today, Paris is draped in sunshine, a golden hue mirroring the gorgeous golden tones in my brand new pink tutu! It's the most stunning piece I've ever owned, and just perfect for exploring all that Parisian chic has to offer.
Speaking of chic, I simply had to tell you about my journey here. I adore taking the Eurostar, it's like stepping into a stylish fairytale! Imagine, dear readers, whizzing through the Channel Tunnel with nothing but elegant, soft leather seats, delectable pastries, and the perfect soundtrack of Edith Piaf and Debussy. Truly, it’s an experience in itself, and I can highly recommend it to all my travelling ballerina sisters!
But let’s return to Paris. Today’s itinerary is packed with adventures! Firstly, it’s off to the Palais Garnier to see a matinee performance of The Sleeping Beauty - you can imagine how excited I am, simply divine! Then, it's straight to Galeries Lafayette, to browse for exquisite fabrics to incorporate into my latest ballet inspired design.
Oh, I can just imagine myself twirling through the streets of Paris in a pink tutu crafted with the most stunning silk, hand-stitched and flowing in the breeze like a delicate, dancing flower!
Paris has this amazing magic, darling. The city is alive with a symphony of colours, scents, and sounds, each experience a delicious piece of a beautiful ballet performance. Even the sound of my trusty, trusty heels clicking against the Parisian cobblestones feels like a delightful step in a graceful ballet!
Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a delicious French meal. I'm absolutely besotted with the buttery, golden crêpes and the rich, fragrant croissants that I've sampled today. But the star of the show, in my humble opinion, is the delectable French onion soup - a creamy, comforting symphony of sweet onions and toasted bread, served with a swirl of molten cheese - truly divine!
Tonight, I plan to take a walk along the Seine, watching the sun paint the sky in warm shades of pink and orange, just like my favourite tutu. Then, I will dance through the streets of Montmartre, relishing in the Bohemian spirit that surrounds every cobblestone. I imagine it as an impromptu ballet, every turn of my head a graceful pirouette, every click of my heel a perfect plié.
As the night descends, I plan to discover a hidden gem - a jazz bar tucked away in the Latin Quarter. I hear there's live music and a passionate, infectious energy that'll be the perfect end to my perfect Paris day!
Stay tuned, darling readers, as my Parisian journey unfolds in this post and the many to come. Remember, it’s never too late to wear a pink tutu, to find your own inner ballerina, and to embrace the joy of twirling through life!
Until next Saturday,
Emma xx
