Hello, my lovely pink tutu darlings! Welcome back to Pink Tutu, where it's always Wednesday, and always pink!
This week, we're swirling into the beautiful city of Prague. Post 1571! Let's do this!
A Tutu Dream in Prague:
Imagine this: cobblestone streets lined with candy-colored buildings, a symphony of church bells echoing through the air, and a warm breeze carrying the scent of freshly baked pastries. This is the magic of Prague, and I am completely besotted!
Prague, with its historic charm and captivating spirit, feels like stepping into a fairytale. I've been here just a few days, but I've already been whisked away by its beauty. I think you'll be falling in love too, right from the first picture... and of course, I'll show you all the fabulous outfits I've been wearing!
Travel in Style (by Train and Pony!):
Reaching Prague felt like a fairytale journey in itself. I opted for a picturesque train ride through the Czech countryside. Nothing beats that view of rolling hills and charming villages whizzing by. And of course, I wouldn't be caught dead in a boring travel outfit! I embraced my inner ballerina with a fluffy pink tulle skirt and a blush-toned blouse – perfect for a trip where the train becomes your stage!
Arriving in Prague, I even had a most unexpected adventure. Imagine, me, in my sparkly pink ballet shoes, taking a pony-drawn carriage through the heart of the city! It felt so whimsical and romantic! Just another magical moment in this magical city!
Prague's Ballet Treasures:
Of course, a ballet fanatic like myself had to hit the Prague National Theatre. The very next day after my arrival! Oh, the grandeur of it all! This incredible building with its sweeping staircase, velvet curtains, and ornate chandeliers... pure perfection.
I've always dreamt of seeing The Sleeping Beauty on the stage. My absolute favourite. But seeing it performed in the majestic Prague National Theatre felt otherworldly. Every step, every twirl, and every emotion radiated with such intensity and artistry that I found myself swept away completely.
Shopping in Prague's Pink Paradise:
You all know that my favourite pastime (besides ballet, naturally) is exploring new shops and boutiques. And Prague has delivered in spades!
Forget the typical souvenir shops. We're going for Prague's hidden treasures! Think exquisite antique shops where you can discover vintage ballerina jewellery, unique fabric stores bursting with colours, and even a small, tucked-away workshop where a local artist crafts the most whimsical tutu-inspired hats. The colour pink, naturally, was everywhere! It seemed like the city of Prague was trying to embrace my mission to spread the pink tutu love everywhere!
Where to Find the Most Instagrammable Views:
Prague is a photographer's dream. Every turn brings another enchanting vista.
From the majestic Prague Castle and its awe-inspiring views over the city to the Charles Bridge with its charm and vibrancy, each spot was photogenic perfection! And don’t even get me started on the cobblestone streets and colorful buildings – they were just begging for a photo-op. Of course, I managed to find the perfect way to showcase them, donning a soft pink tulle skirt, which danced beautifully in the wind as I posed against Prague's magnificent backdrop. I even did a little pirouette here and there, because let's face it, every girl needs to feel like a ballerina sometimes!
Where to Find the Most Wonderful Tutus:
Prague is overflowing with incredible dance schools. After all, this city is steeped in dance history. Every corner whispers of ballets past and present. But I found a little treasure - a ballet studio tucked away in a charming old courtyard, surrounded by ivy-covered walls.
This tiny ballet haven felt like a secret, peaceful space, where you could feel the joy of dance in every movement. Of course, I had to join in for a class, even for just a few steps, donning my favourite pink tutu to feel that sweet sense of liberation that dance brings! And I think everyone should try it – because life's too short for dull dancewear!
Eat Your Heart Out (in a pink tutu!):
Speaking of food! Let's talk about the mouthwatering delicacies I discovered! Prague is a culinary delight. I've enjoyed freshly baked trdelník (that incredible cinnamon pastry), Czech dumplings with a dollop of creamy sauce, and decadent goulash. Of course, no pink tutu adventure would be complete without a delightful afternoon tea, complete with scones, clotted cream, and lashings of pink-hued tea. It’s a pink tutu girl’s dream, isn’t it!
Where to Catch the Magic of Ballet in Prague:
Prague’s National Theatre has its permanent schedule, but I am obsessed with exploring the little gems I found here, in the city of a hundred spires! The Prague National Theatre is not the only stage bursting with dance! From intimate cabaret shows featuring passionate flamenco performances to bustling, vibrant street theatres with live music, Prague’s dance scene truly pulses with life.
Oh! And my darlings, I had a fabulous time in the theatre! I was watching an enthralling performance by an eclectic dance company in a small theatre in the Old Town, featuring choreography inspired by traditional Czech dances, complete with swirling skirts, a captivating storyteller and even a few cheeky pink tutu-inspired details – a must-see for all you pink-tutu lovers!
My Pink Tutu Promise to Prague:
I have a secret mission – to sprinkle pink tutu magic wherever I go. And, my darling pink tutu devotees, Prague has absolutely charmed me. I want you to come and see Prague for yourself! The city of spires, history, dance, charm and cobbled streets... this place feels special and so does it's pink tutu potential!
Remember, dear readers, pink isn’t just a color – it's a way of life!
Until next Wednesday, stay fabulous, and keep twirling! 💖
