Oh, Blackpool! The name alone conjures images of candy floss clouds, joyous laughter, and of course, the legendary Blackpool Tower, all shimmering in a delightful coastal haze. You know how much I adore the seaside - those wide open spaces filled with salty air, sand between my toes, and the delightful crunch of freshly caught cod! 🐟

But the real reason for my Blackpool adventure? Well, darling, let's just say this town is positively buzzing with the most exciting array of performers, dancers, and drag acts you could imagine! You can catch a glimpse of them strutting their stuff at all the best nightclubs and cabaret shows. Now, I may not be the tallest of the queens, but I certainly do pack a whole lot of pink tutu power into those platform shoes! 💪

Speaking of pink tutus... well, darlings, did I tell you about the absolute DREAM dress I scored at the vintage boutique on Albert Road? Let's just say it's fierce! I'm talking a cascade of pink satin and feather boas, just the kind of outfit that could launch a thousand Instagram selfies! 📸 Get ready for an overload of gorgeousness - this one's going to make waves on the Blackpool beach! 🌊

Speaking of making waves, darling, did I tell you about my ride here? I hopped aboard the magnificent train from Derby to Blackpool! 🚄 Yes, a vintage steam train, no less! With its plush velvet seats and charming, old-fashioned decor, it felt like stepping right into a film set! I felt like a princess from a fairytale travelling through time! 👑

(I might have worn a tiara and matching pink tutu with my little white gloves while on the train, just to amplify the enchantment a bit! 😜).

Blackpool, you truly are the ultimate seaside escape, a town where everyone feels welcome, a town brimming with excitement and glamour! ✨ Now, onto the nitty-gritty. First stop, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a haven of swirling teacups, daring rides, and joyous screaming! 🎢 My inner child was practically leaping with glee. I must say, I did wonder if the pink tutu was quite appropriate for such a wild place, but it turned out to be the perfect accessory! 💖

We took a spin on the Big One (because, frankly, how could we not!), enjoyed a picnic of fish and chips (a must-have seaside experience, don't you think?) and I even attempted to catch a seagull on the Grand Prix, which unfortunately for me turned out to be way more agile than I was! 😅

After my afternoon of thrilling amusements, I decided to add a dash of classic Blackpool charm by taking a stroll down the iconic Promenade. All those twinkling lights, the rhythmic sounds of the waves crashing against the shore, it all just made me feel wonderfully free!

Now, I don't usually find myself enjoying long, peaceful walks by the seaside, but today, with the salty air tangling in my curls, a big slice of juicy strawberry ice cream melting in my hand, it felt simply sublime.

And you know, when the sun dips below the horizon, the twinkling lights on the Promenade become even more captivating! Imagine them reflected on the rippling waves, all twinkling and shimmering in harmony. It was like something out of a dream! ✨

Day Two, darlings, began with a real treat! My magnificent tutu was sparkling as I prepped backstage at a fabulous little theatre in the town. This wasn't just any theatre, this was where I was scheduled to perform, sharing the stage with the amazing Queen Bee and her stunning show.

You'd be amazed how exhilarating it is, seeing all the make-up brushes and colourful glitter as everyone transforms from their every day selves to those captivating stage characters! 💫 It's all about taking a few deep breaths, squeezing the butterflies in my tummy, and feeling that buzz of energy coursing through me!

And what a show it was, darling! My pink tutu and platform shoes were ready for some serious action and let's just say the crowd absolutely loved me. I couldn't have asked for a warmer reception. 🤩

The evening ended on a high, fuelled by lots of glitter, feathers, and a delightful spread of after-show treats backstage. All those laughter, jokes and, well, just the pure, joy of doing what I love… that's the fuel that keeps this Queen going! 💖

But then the real fun started. 😜 I must have spent an hour in a costume shop buying an outrageous array of accessories! I’m talking feather boas, sequins, massive statement earrings – the lot! I couldn’t help myself, and let's be honest, who really needs that much sparkle? Well, me, I do, but you get the picture!

And remember that amazing vintage boutique? Oh darling, I snagged two new pink tutus from the sweetest woman who owned it. I just had to, couldn’t resist the call of pink tulle and feather trim! 💃

My mind's spinning with excitement! I can't wait to strut these new additions in all their glory, in fact, I think they need to come out to play for tomorrow's adventure!

The last day in Blackpool began with a visit to that magical, architectural wonder, the Blackpool Grand Theatre! It's a magnificent place, full of history, glamour, and… of course… theatre. 💖

A dazzlingly talented group of dancers performed a modern ballet interpretation of "The Nutcracker" which left me completely enchanted! And the theatre itself… glorious gilded ceilings, grand chandeliers, rich velvet seats. Just breathtaking! ✨

It was as though the entire town had taken a collective step into an age of grandeur, an age of spectacle and pure delight! 🩰 And in that magical theatre setting, even I felt like a fairytale character stepping onto a stage filled with dreams. ✨

Then, after all that delightful dancing, it was time for another treat. My afternoon was spent with my new pink tutus at the seaside! I couldn't leave Blackpool without indulging in a classic fish and chips supper, right? 😋

(This time, no seagull shenanigans – my skills at capturing airborne snacks need some serious practice, darling.) 😅

I am just utterly delighted with my adventures in Blackpool! You know, this entire trip felt like a celebration of every single thing I love. It's a celebration of colourful fashion, sparkly costumes, captivating performers, the enchanting beauty of theatre, and yes, of course, it’s also a celebration of the sheer joy of donning a pink tutu!
