As you know, I’m always on the lookout for new and fabulous adventures, and this trip has truly been a whirlwind of pink, tutus, and, well, a little bit of unexpected horse-riding too! 😉
Before I tell you all about it, a little shout out to all my lovelies in the comments section! Did you catch my performance at the Bigbury Fair last week? It was truly a riot! I felt so much love from the crowd and I can’t thank you enough for cheering me on. That energy kept me twirling through my entire set! 💖
Right, now back to our adventure! Sale called to me this time. You see, dear readers, my heart belongs to ballet, and I'd heard whispers of a most wondrous ballet school nestled in this charming town. As a scientist by day, testing fabrics for a living, it was a welcome chance to indulge my love for all things elegant, twirling and tulle-licious! 🩰
Now, normally, I prefer the gentle sway of a train journey, letting the world whiz by as I dream up my next sparkly creation. This time though, a horse took the reins - literally! My darling friend, the fabulous Gloria (she does incredible bespoke headwear, do check her out on Etsy!), insisted I see the countryside from horseback. It was certainly an experience! And yes, darling, you guessed it - I wore my most flamboyant pink tutu, of course! A little bird told me it gave quite the “wow” factor to the rolling Derbyshire hills! 😜
Arriving at the school, the air crackled with energy! The students were buzzing with excitement for their end-of-term performance, and let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed! Their movements were fluid and graceful, the colours of their costumes a vibrant rainbow of passion, and their smiles - oh, those dazzling smiles lit up the room! I was entranced.
There’s just something about seeing young talents so full of potential and so in love with their art form that fills my heart with a joyous ache. After the performance, I couldn't resist slipping into the dressing room and trying on a few tutus myself! I felt like a princess stepping out of a fairy tale. ✨
You see, my dearies, this isn’t just about a silly pink tutu, it’s about expression! It’s about finding joy in every step, in every twirl, in every spark of creativity that illuminates our lives. And the students at Sale ballet school taught me that joy knows no age, no experience, no limitations. They embodied that free-spirited passion that makes me want to shout it from the rooftops: Let’s dance!
But that’s not all! Sale turned out to be a veritable treasure trove of pink delights! The boutiques, my dearies! Oh, the boutiques! A symphony of colours and fabrics, each more gorgeous than the last. It was a real challenge to control my spending, but I managed to snag a pair of exquisite pink ballet shoes, adorned with shimmering diamantes (yes, a perfect match for my new favourite tutu!). And let’s not forget the afternoon tea! Cream scones and a teapot bursting with floral teas, all washed down with sparkling lemonade… absolute bliss! 🧁
You know I love my daily walks, and Sale didn't disappoint! Cobbled streets, charming houses draped in fragrant flowers, and a park perfect for a good old-fashioned picnic. And you better believe I spread out my most flamboyant blanket, whipped out my homemade lemonade, and enjoyed a little afternoon dance under the golden sunshine. 🧺
So, dear friends, my adventure in Sale has been a whirlwind of tutus, tutus, and more tutus! But also, of smiles, of passion, of connection, and most importantly, of spreading a little bit of pink magic wherever I go. Because as I always say: Every day is an opportunity to twirl, every moment is a chance to sparkle! 💖
