Hello my gorgeous glitter-balls! It’s your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the most charming city in the world – Bath! 💅💖
This is post number 9346, and I'm overflowing with excitement, as always! This weekend, I traded my lab coat for a tulle explosion of pink, because you know how much I love travelling – and this time, I’m bringing the sparkle to the spa town that time forgot!
Now, if you know me, you know I’m all about pink tutus, glittery gowns and ballet, right? So imagine my delight when I heard about Bath’s annual Fairy and Folklore Festival! 🧚♀️ I mean, what could be more perfect for a tutu-wearing queen than a whole weekend celebrating all things fantastical? I was practically pirouetting with excitement just thinking about it!
Before I even got on the train – because of course, this girl travels by train when possible, it’s so romantic! – I’d planned my wardrobe for every possible scenario. Think cascading ruffles, sparkling tiaras and enough glitter to blind a disco ball! 👑✨ The best part about it all is that Bath, oh Bath, with its gorgeous cobbled streets and ancient architecture, is simply made for a Pink Tutu queen!
You know, I’m all about spreading the message of “wear pink, wear tutus,” so imagine how excited I was when I stepped into a gorgeous little independent boutique filled with frocks, hats and jewellery! It’s called “A Stitch in Time,” and oh darling, the vintage tea-dresses! I could have bought them all, especially the one with the tiny floral print – it matched my tulle underskirt perfectly! 😉
Speaking of tutus, I made sure to do my duty to Bath’s festival spirit! I stopped by a delightful little milliner, where I found the most dazzling pink head-piece, topped with a miniature sparkling carousel. Just darling! 🎠 It really did give me the most fabulous fairytale look – and let's just say, everyone on the street was looking. Even the pigeons, bless their tiny feathers. 💖
Naturally, no trip to Bath is complete without a trip to the Theatre Royal! Oh, the sheer opulence! I couldn’t resist getting all dressed up in my biggest, pinkest, most bedazzled gown for the evening performance of “The Nutcracker.” Ballet and tutu? That's like, my jam, babes! I got to experience the magic of dancing snowflakes, charming Clara and of course, the beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy. The applause almost shook the chandelier!
As much as I adore ballet, this weekend was also about discovering Bath itself. I strolled down the ancient Roman Baths, imagining all the lovely Roman ladies taking a dip, then treated myself to a proper afternoon tea – a tradition I’m just mad about. You wouldn't believe the amount of scones I managed to squeeze in! 😉 After that, I explored the Pump Room – with its sparkling chandeliers and charming orchestra – where I had my portrait drawn by a local artist. He couldn't get enough of my sparkling, pink-tutu-adorned outfit, bless him!
But the highlight of my entire trip – no, seriously, a real pinch-me moment! – was encountering a bunch of street performers at the festival. It turns out there was a street-ballet competition. Imagine: a real tutu-tastic ballet competition, right in the middle of a festival! I had to try out, and guess what? I even took the grand prize! First place? You betcha, honey! It’s almost too much pink glitter to handle! 😉
And let me tell you, the crown I received is just amazing – a crown of pink candy-floss and tinsel, fit for a true Pink Tutu Queen! And the prize? Oh, you wouldn’t believe it! They offered me a starring role in their show the following week. Imagine, performing in Bath for a real audience – pure magical vibes!
This journey has really reminded me why I love traveling so much – it’s all about exploring, creating new memories, spreading sparkles and of course, a little dose of “Pink Tutu Sparkles” all around! But above all, it's about being true to yourself.
Bath has truly won a place in my heart. With its historic charm, whimsical spirit, and let's not forget the scone-worthy tea time! This pink-tutu queen has been left feeling truly inspired – not only to wear more pink, but also to make the world a little more glittery, one tutu at a time!
