Hello my darlings, it’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and let me tell you, today’s post is all about… you guessed it! PINK! 🩰💕 I’m writing to you live from the beautiful, historic town of Frome in Somerset, and I'm feeling positively radiant in this gloriously sunny weather!
This is post number 9521, by the way, and yes, I know, it’s quite the number! I simply can’t stop sharing my adventures and encouraging all of you fabulous folk out there to embrace your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles, because frankly, life’s too short to be anything but dazzling, my dears!
So, how did I end up in Frome, you might be asking? Well, my loves, this trip was all about indulging in some of my absolute favourite things. A journey by train (first class, of course!), a visit to a gorgeous, traditional theatre for a stunning ballet performance, and the opportunity to explore a charming market town and indulge in a little retail therapy – think gorgeous pink cashmere, sparkly shoes, and possibly even a new pink tutu! What’s a queen to do? 💖
It’s always a little magical stepping onto a train and knowing you're about to embark on a new adventure. With a steaming cuppa and my trusty pink travel book, I felt like I was gliding towards the stars! It’s funny, I remember being just a young lad from Derbyshire and being so excited about the school trips by train. You know, that heady feeling of anticipation for an exciting destination… And that’s how I feel now! It’s almost like those magical memories get bottled up and bubble to the surface whenever I step on a train, I’m filled with this happy little flutter in my heart! 💖
After an absolutely dreamy journey (the landscape was just beautiful!), I was finally in Frome, my dears! Frome is such a gorgeous little town with cobbled streets and independent shops brimming with gorgeous delights. Oh, I couldn’t resist dipping my toes into the delights of the local markets – who can resist fresh-baked bread, local cheeses, and stunning handmade crafts? Not me, darling, not me! ✨
The heart of Frome was definitely the Frome Festival, which brought in musicians, artists, and performers from far and wide. And wouldn't you know it, a dazzling drag act landed on the stage – me! Pink Tutu Sparkles performing right there in the heart of it all! Imagine my delight, darling, being welcomed into such a lovely community with open arms. We had so much fun, from silly songs and games to glittering gowns and laughter that filled the air, it felt like a fairytale, with just a sprinkle of stardust and the magic of tutus. 💖
And then came the grand finale: a ballet performance at the Frome Theatre, a truly stunning, majestic venue, which has the air of an old-fashioned theatre! I’ve always been fascinated by ballet. It’s an art form that encapsulates strength, grace, and pure beauty. It takes an incredible amount of dedication, hard work, and, most importantly, love! 💕
So, with the final notes of the performance ringing in my ears, I felt utterly enchanted. This Frome adventure was truly something special! The kindness of the locals, the beauty of the town, and the pure joy of performing…it was all a dream come true. 💖

PS – Did I mention my visit to the local fabric shop? It was practically bursting with colours and textures, enough to inspire even a science geek like me! Yes, you heard right, my dears, by day, Pink Tutu Sparkles is actually a scientist, in the laboratory, analyzing the chemical composition of fabrics. And, you guessed it, my speciality is textiles made with delicate pink tulle. So my passion for science and tutus somehow merge! 💖 It’s a beautiful, colourful, shimmering symphony of science, artistry, and a sprinkle of fairy dust! ✨ Isn’t that simply magical? 💖
