Hey lovelies,
It’s your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another post! Can you believe it? February’s already flying by – how are you all doing? Did you see my post about my fabulous Valentine’s Day outfit? All pink satin and a heart-shaped tutu, it was perfection!
Anyways, back to my adventures. You all know my goal: to bring the joy of the pink tutu to every corner of the world! So, after my triumphant trip to Manchester, I’ve set my sparkly sights on the historic town of Bilston. Yes, Bilston! Did I mention this little slice of Midlands magic boasts a rich industrial history and, more importantly, has some killer fish and chips? This week, my journey starts with the rumble of the train taking me right to the heart of it all!
A Dress-up Day & My Train Travel Outfit
Now, listen up, darlings, when Pink Tutu Sparkles hits the road, she dresses for the occasion. We’re talking full drag, obviously! Think: pink, glittery, feathers, maybe some sequins... and my pièce de résistance – the ultimate pink tutu, naturally. This time, I’m going for a chic, vintage vibe. I’ve sourced this amazing vintage pink silk dress, perfect for that old-school glam look. It’s paired with a tutu that I bought in a London vintage shop. I picked up a vintage feather boa with matching pink tips to make a real statement. A touch of vintage jewellery to complete the ensemble, and I’m ready to go.
Why do I choose the train, you ask? It’s the epitome of style, darling. Nothing quite says "Pink Tutu Sparkles" like making a grand entrance at the station in a glorious, fuschia-toned tutu with a sparkling vintage dress and a smile as bright as a disco ball.
Bilston Bound, Full Speed Ahead
It's such a treat to watch the countryside speed past the window while I prepare for my performance in Bilston. The rhythmic hum of the train almost has me wanting to tap my feet. It gets me feeling inspired and a little bit nostalgic for my ballet class days at the Royal Ballet School. If only I could pack my ballet shoes, but that might get a bit too much even for me! (I’ll just take my favourite high-heeled platform sandals, they work just as well).
It’s only a matter of hours now until I’m bringing the pink tutu magic to Bilston, ready to grace the stage in my vibrant outfit. I can almost hear the cheers of the crowd.
Fashion Finds and Fun in the Midlands
Once I arrive, my plan is to explore this fabulous Midlands town. They say Bilston’s known for its metalwork. It has this historical charm about it, too. And since my darling, I’m an expert on vintage dresses, Bilston’s antique market is high on my to-do list. Imagine the treasures! Lace, embroidery, even maybe a pre-loved vintage pink tutu – that would be the ultimate souvenir! I've got my vintage shopping list ready – you’d think I was a professional buyer, and sometimes I think I am, but hey! It’s a skill, honey.
Onwards and Upwards
So, this is just a sneak peek of my grand adventures in Bilston. I’ll keep you all updated on how it goes! Don't forget to check my daily blog, www.pink-tutu.com – I’ll post pics of my Bilston escapades and, of course, the stage outfits. Be sure to check it all out, darlings. Love, kisses and lots of glitter,
Pink Tutu Sparkles
