Today, my darlings, we’re in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand! It's Post #9537 for me, and let me tell you, it’s been a whirlwind of excitement!
I just had to pop over here, darling, for the annual "Tutus on the Waterfront" festival. You heard right! An entire festival dedicated to the fluffy pink loveliness of a tutu. Can you believe it? It’s right up my street, my loves!
Wellington is simply divine, darling. It's all quaint and charming, a bit like my grandma's garden in Derbyshire, but with more, shall we say, edgy edge! Think vintage charm and modern energy, a vibrant mix of street art and coffee shops, just the way I like it!
It was my lucky day! A delightful group of friendly Wellingtonians offered to loan me their little white horse and carriage to get around! I mean, can you imagine the picture?! A sparkling Pink Tutu Sparkles in a fluffy, pink tutu riding around in a white carriage? Pure perfection, darling! I absolutely had to capture it for the 'Gram, wouldn't you agree?
The "Tutus on the Waterfront" festival was a real dream, darling. Every colour imaginable was swirling around – a riot of colour! It's amazing how people of all ages embraced this wonderfully silly idea, donning tutus of all shapes and sizes. You’ve got to see these pictures, my dears! It was a truly joyful spectacle, I couldn't stop smiling the whole time! And my darling! There was even a pink tutu competition! Of course, yours truly entered. And who needs a judging panel, honestly, when the crowd screams "YES!" when I strike a pose!
Let me tell you, wearing my iconic pink tutu as I walked across that stage felt fantastic! It’s about more than just fashion, dearies. It’s about expressing your joy and spreading love. I mean, come on, how can you look at a tutu and not feel your spirits lifted, darling? It’s impossible, I tell you! This is exactly why I created my whole "Pink Tutu Revolution" thing – spreading the pink tutu love all across the globe!
While we're talking about inspiring events, I can’t forget about the absolutely smashing ballet performance I went to see last night at the Wellington Opera House! It was a dazzling showcase of grace and beauty. The performers twirled with such elegance – every spin and leap, every point and plié just captivated my soul! I swear I got tears in my eyes watching their incredible talent on stage. You really need to catch them live if you have a chance, darling.
Speaking of talents, my dearest friend (and you've seen him all over the blog!), my darling Liam, was in town with me! Oh, he loves travelling on trains! We rode across a scenic track to reach this quaint coastal town – what's it called? I forget. Honestly, all that stunning scenery had my mind a whirlwind!
Now, I do like to look my best, so you can't travel with me, darlings, without popping into some fabulous shops for a new look! My most treasured memory in Wellington, dear friends, is the afternoon spent indulging in the delightful, colourful fashions that Wellington's boutique shops had on offer! You really should treat yourself to some shopping fun on your next trip to New Zealand.
But darling, a good wardrobe always needs a good backdrop! Oh my heavens, my darlings, don't get me started on those sunsets! Honestly, they were beyond extra! Such perfect light for photo-ops. I swear I managed to catch every spectacular hue of orange, pink, and purple across the horizon, from golden dusk until the stars started appearing!
But all good things, darling, must come to an end! And sadly, my time in Wellington had to come to a close. However, it was an unforgettable experience. It's officially been added to my list of "Must-Visit Destinations".

Outfit #1: "The Waterfront Dream" It was all about the pastel dreaminess in Wellington! This gorgeous lavender and sky-blue outfit paired with my pink sparkly tutu? A match made in fashion heaven! I paired this look with my vintage floral sunhat, a classic. And remember that little white horse we were talking about? This was the ensemble! Oh, it was so divine, my darling!
Outfit #2: "Tutus and Train Tracks" A little vintage-inspired look featuring a chic grey pencil skirt with a contrasting fuchsia blouse. And oh, of course, the highlight of the ensemble – a shimmering pink tutu! Just look at it, it reflects the gorgeous train window! I swear my Instagram followers were swooning. But, as I always say, my dears, let your outfit tell a story.
Outfit #3: " Wellington Whirlwind" Oh, darling, the drama! This ensemble featured a dazzling emerald green velvet jumpsuit and, naturally, a full-length pink tutu to add a touch of whimsy. My emerald green hair matched the jumpsuit to a tee, if you will, and this was the outfit that won me that "Pink Tutu of the Year" award at the festival, darlings!
