Remember last year's spectacular Pinkalicious Paradise show at the Grand Theatre? Oh, the memories! Well, get ready to add another chapter to our fabulous adventure because this time, we're bringing the sparkle right to the heart of the promenade, the Blackpool Tower Ballroom! And you better believe that I'm not leaving home without a suitcase brimming with my signature pink tutus, each one more glamorous than the last.
You know me, my lovelies, I’m not just about fabulous costumes and electrifying performances (although, let's be honest, I am the Queen of the Twirl). I'm all about embracing life with the same exuberance I bring to the stage! So, imagine my delight when I snagged tickets to the Blackpool Illuminations - we're talking about dazzling lights, swirling patterns, and a sea of excited faces. I'm telling you, even a seasoned pro like me was in awe! It's a symphony of colours that would make even the most jaded heart melt.
Speaking of light shows, my dear blogosphere, did you know that my journey to Blackpool involved an exciting trip by train? Yes, my dears! It wasn't just a train, it was a beautiful, old-fashioned train with plush seats and big windows offering glorious views of the countryside. And of course, I had my trusty pink travel tote bursting with sparkling accessories - a little glitz on the rails is never out of place, wouldn't you agree?
Now, a bit of a behind the sequins peek at this glamorous girl: My name's Alex, and before I slipped into the magnificent world of Pink Tutu Sparkles, I was (and still am, by day) a scientist. Yeah, you heard me right! A scientist. I test fabrics in a lab - how's that for a dramatic shift from performing on stage? But you know, my lovelies, my passion for all things pink and sparkly goes way back - all the way to my university days. I joined the ballet club (it was all those twirling tutus that got me hooked!), and during a charity event, I tried on a tutu. And that, my dear followers, was when the real Pink Tutu Sparkles was born!
But back to Blackpool! It’s the perfect blend of history and fun - from the grand Victorian architecture of the tower itself to the pulsating heart of the arcade and, of course, that majestic promenade. Speaking of majesty, have you seen the Blackpool Tower Ballroom itself? Talk about grand, folks. I swear, even my most magnificent tutus would look positively demure in this glorious setting. I can practically hear the orchestra playing waltzes as I sashay across the dance floor, each twirl of my tutu painting a rainbow across the polished wood.
